Amazing image of the sun

If you look into this images of the sun, and just see this as it has been put, in a stable state, can you just imagine what the sun could do whilst in a rage?

So sunspot activity seems to be picking back up. It seems to be taking the trajectory I mused on it taking almost two years ago. I guesstimated that with wild swings like this, meaning extremes: there would be a very serious calm..and then an almost sudden seeming hard swing in the opposite direction.

Not that I am in any way an expert on the sun.

Nasa has nice pictures of the sun that are frequently updated.

My wife uses these pictures when teaching her students about the sun. I have seen some great coronal mass ejections with these pictures. Good thing the CME's didn't come at us. :)
