These photographs capture the views from the top of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

A group of Russian tourists waited until official visiting hours were over at Egypt's famous Giza Necropolis, before scaling the enormous Great Pyramid as the sun began to set.

The Russians managed to escape the attention of security guards at the ancient site, allowing photographer Vitaliy Raskalov to snap pictures of the surrounding desert and the majestic Sphinx from the top of the 455ft structure.

Graffiti chiseled into the stones near the photographer's feet?

There are probably gum wrappers, used condoms, and cigarette butts there too.

Amazing pics! Those pyramids must have looked absolutely stunning over 12 500 years ago... Or as they say, 2500BCE! :)

The Pyramids were built before the ice age. That would explain the water erosion on the pyramids. What knowledge and skills we had over 10,000 years ago in the making of such beauty ehh!

Yes, we definitely got help from elsewhere, those pyramids were not created with human tools lol... Graham Hancock has done great job covering this topic, even though he has been ridiculed by the mainstream archaeologists.

Who says it was us?. our society is still divided on how to recreate the task. So it was not Us.. it was .. They who came before Us, who had the skills and knowledge to make such beauty that lasts.. We or Us, only seam able to destroy things that big, we can only create something that last 50 years with out needing serious renovations, our current architectual longevity is laughable to the weathers of time, We or Us could all disapear and all of our buildings would be gone in a blink, but the pyramids would remain...

when people learn that profit is something more than what fits between the columns of a balance sheet,
they might do something great again.

These pics really give you a good perspective of just how gigantic the pyramids are! They're like mountains!

See slide 10 on this Huffington Post story. You can clearly see the mark of the Freemasons, the square and compass crossed, on the ground. What do you make of that?
