INTERNATIONAL CONSORTIUM OF INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISTS LIFTS VEIL ON OFFSHORE WORLD
86 INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISTS FROM 46 COUNTRIES WORKED ON WHAT MAY BE LARGEST-EVER CROSS BORDER JOURNALISM COLLABORATION
WASHINGTON, DC – The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) (http://www.icij.org/), a project of the Center for Public Integrity, released today its first of many reports from a 15-month investigation that cracks open the historically impenetrable world of offshore tax havens.
Drawing from a leaked trove of 2.5 million digital files, ICIJ led what may be the largest cross border journalism collaboration in history.
ICIJ’s investigation opens the secrets of more than 120,000 offshore companies and trusts and nearly 130,000 individuals and agents, exposing hidden dealings of politicians, con artists, and the mega-rich in more than 170 countries. Secrecy for Sale: Inside the Global Offshore Money Maze, ICIJ’s largest investigative reporting project in its 15- year history, is available at www.icij.org/offshore (http://www.icij.org/offshore).
The stories released today by the ICIJ and its partner outlets around the world are the first installment in an ongoing series. An initial group of stories will run between April 3 and April 15, 2013 with more reporting to follow throughout the year as ICIJ and its partners continue the investigation.
“This investigation lifts the curtain on the offshore system and provides a transparent look into the secret world of tax havens and the individuals and companies that use and benefit from them,” said Gerard Ryle, Director of the ICIJ. “We already knew how secret and inaccessible the offshore industry is, but we were surprised by how vast and far reaching it is. It draws its clients not only from the world’s super-wealthy, but also from everyday professionals from all around the world.”
The files identify the individuals behind the covert companies and private trusts based in the British Virgin Islands, the Cook Islands, Singapore and other offshore havens. They include American doctors and dentists and middle-class Greek villagers as well as Russia corporate executives, Eastern European and Indonesian billionaires, Wall Street fraudsters, international arms dealers and families and associates of long-time dictators.
Among the investigation’s key findings:
Government officials and their families and associates in Azerbaijan, Russia, Canada, Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand, Canada, Mongolia and other countries have embraced the use of covert companies and bank accounts.
The mega-rich use complex offshore structures to own mansions, yachts, art masterpieces and other assets, gaining tax advantages and anonymity not available to average people.
Many of the world’s top’s banks – including UBS, Clariden and Deutsche Bank – have aggressively worked to provide their customers with secrecy-cloaked companies in the British Virgin Islands and other offshore hideaways.
A well-paid industry of accountants, middlemen and other operatives has helped offshore patrons shroud their identities and business interests, providing shelter in many cases to money laundering or other misconduct.
Ponzi schemers and other large-scale fraudsters routinely use offshore havens to pull off their shell games and move their ill-gotten gains.
While reporting by the ICIJ and its partners shows that many users of offshore are engaged in legitimate transactions, the project team’s investigations raise questions about the lack of transparency, lax law enforcement and illegal practices that are prevalent in the offshore world.
“This investigation was the most extensive in our history. It would not have been possible without the cooperation of our international partners,” said Bill Buzenberg, Executive Director of the Center for Public Integrity. “Because of the magnitude of this cross-border collaboration we are able to provide a window onto the offshore world, an important step toward bringing transparency and accountability to an industry that over the last several years has grown beyond regulation and control.”
The collection of leaked information, totaling more than 260 gigabytes of data, includes corporate files, emails, account ledgers, and other records that show cash transfers, incorporation dates and links between individuals and companies. It is believed to be one of the largest collections of leaked data gathered and analyzed by journalists.
The files illustrate how offshore financial secrecy has spread aggressively around the globe, allowing the wealthy to avoid taxes, fueling corruption and economic woes in rich and poor nations. The current banking crisis in Cyprus is one example of how the offshore system can impact an entire country’s financial stability.
The ICIJ worked with 86 investigative journalists from 46 countries and used data mining software and old fashioned shoe leather reporting to unveil the previously hidden but thriving world of fraud, tax dodging and political corruption.
To analyze the documents, ICIJ collaborated with journalists from The Guardian and the BBC in the U.K., Le Monde in France, Süddeutsche Zeitung and Norddeutscher Rundfunk in Germany, The Washington Post, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and 31 other media partners around the world.
The reporters and editors on the project team thoroughly fact-checked the data and cross-referenced it with other information, including court records, government reports and financial databases. Team members interviewed hundreds of experts, government officials, attorneys, offshore clients and other sources around the world.
Among the countries included in the data are: Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kosovo, Latvia, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Paraguay, Philippines, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, and Venezuela.
I wonder who is behind this financial attack, and who is this ICIJ.
This smells very much like a baseless accusation, if they do not publish the files. I was not able to download 1 file from ICIJ.

Those with hidden treasures whom insist to stay in the dark. They might be willing to buy silence insurance policies.
So this is the warning sign to them what he disclosure looks like.

In his latest newsletter (http://missiongalacticfreedom.wordpress.com/2013/04/08/benjamin-fulford-sabbatean-mafia-plans-to-stage-nuclear-terror-blame-north-korea/) Benjamin Fulford relates to this as an attack.
The other big agency attack against the Sabbateans took the form of a release by the “International Consortium of Investigative Journalists,” of the names of holders of offshore bank accounts worth $32 trillion dollars (over twice the US GDP). Before the website was taken down and put up again in sanitized form, it released the details of accounts held by people like Barak Obama, Tony Blair, the Governor of the Bank of England, Hillary Clinton etc. For example, the Obama offshore account totals $30 billion and is held under the name Henry Ansbacher.
Another attack was the release by Wikileaks of millions of documents linked to arch-cabalist Henry Kissinger including such juicy Kissinger quotes as “the illegal we do overnight, the unconstitutional takes longer.”
The financial attack on the cabal is also intensifying. The widely reported physical gold shortages, such as the line ups at gold outlets in Thailand, are being caused by cabalists desperately trying to use their fiat paper currencies to buy physical gold. In the case of Thailand, the Saudi Royal family and their buddies the Bushes are working with Japanese crime syndicates to buy Thai and Persian royal family gold.

The fact that Benjamin Fulford is making claims about the ICIJ makes the whole thing suspect, imho.
So thank you for letting us know that.

Massive disclosure to offshore banking and corruption. On international level.
This article is targeted for Israeli audience therefore there is focus on the Israeli connections, yet the Israelis are not the essence of this disclosure and its global political ramifications.
http://www.haaretz.com/polopoly_fs/1.712429.1459706691!/image/235875545.jpg_gen/derivatives/headline_857x482/235875545.jpg
A trove of files obtained by German journalists reveals how a global industry of law firms and large banks sell financial secrecy services to politicians, crooks and drug dealers as well as billionaires, celebrities and sports stars.
A massive leak of millions of documents has revealed that heads of state, criminals and celebrities conduct and sometimes conceal their business activities in tax havens. The leak exposes holdings in shadowy companies that are owned by 11 past and present heads of state, and reveals how partners of Russian President Vladimir Putin clandestinely transferred no less than $2 billion through banks and companies registered in tax shelters.
The source of the leaked documents is a very powerful yet not very well-known law firm called Mossack Fonseca. This firm has branches in Hong Kong, Miami, Zurich and more than 35 other locations around the world, among them Israel. The documents reveal many Israeli connections and disclose that businesspeople with Israeli citizenship as well as Israeli banks and companies have used the law firm to register companies in tax havens around the world.
The documents expose, among other things, firms controlled by the prime ministers of Iceland and Pakistan, the king of Saudi Arabia and the children of the president of Azerbaijan registered in tax havens. They refer to at least 33 companies and individuals that have been on a United States government blacklist for having connections with Mexican drug lords, terror organizations like Hezbollah and rogue states like North Korea and Iran. One of the companies exposed in the leaked documents provided fuel for the aircraft used by the Syrian government to bomb and kill thousands of its citizens.
Among the revelations are secret manipulations by banks, companies and individuals connected to Vladimir Putin. The documents name companies registered in tax havens that have links to the Russian president and his network, and have carried out money transfers of as much as $200 million at a time. Putin’s associates disguised payments, backdated documents and accumulated influence behind the scenes at media companies and in automobile industries.
Inside the Panama Papers ICIJ
These findings are being disclosed on Sunday and over the next several days with the publication of the results of an investigation conducted by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, the German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung and more than 100 other media organizations, among them Haaretz. The database of 11.5 million documents and correspondences that has come into the hands of the ICIJ reveals how a global industry of law firms and large banks sell financial secrecy services to politicians, crooks and drug dealers as well as billionaires, celebrities and sports stars.
The investigation began after Süddeutsche Zeitung journalists obtained millions of documents from a secret source and shared them with the ICIJ and other media partners. The media organizations involved in this collaboration have not paid for the documents. For many months journalists working in more than 25 languages cooperated in the biggest journalistic investigation of all time. They delved into the internal operations of Mossack Fonseca and traced its clients’ secret deals worldwide. They shared information with each other and chased down clues with the help of corporate documents, title deeds, financial transactions, court records and interviews with money-laundering experts and top law-enforcement officials.
Forty years of tax havens
Mossack Fonseca is one of the leading firms in the creation of shell companies that often serve to conceal ownership of assets. The firm’s internal documents contain information concerning 214,488 bodies in tax havens, which are connected to persons in more than 200 states and territories. ICIJ will publish a complete list of the companies and the individuals connected to them at the beginning of May. The information includes emails, financial balance sheets and data on companies that reveal the secret owners of bank accounts and companies in 21 tax shelters from Nevada to Singapore to the British Virgin Islands.
The leaked information covers a span of nearly 40 years, from 1977 until the end of 2015. It provides a first look of its kind into the world of tax havens. Innumerable email exchanges, letters and passport photocopies document how day after day, decade after decade, wealth flowed to these companies through the pipelines of the global financial system.
The documents clearly show that large banks are the main impelling force behind the establishment of companies whose ownership is virtually untraceable in the British Virgin Islands, Panama and other tax havens. The materials detail more than 15,300 companies that banks have established for clients wishing to conceal their financial conduct, among them hundreds of companies established by the international giants UBS and HSBC.
Israeli banks, too, appear in the files. It turns out that Bank Hapoalim managed some of its trusteeship activities for trust funds through the law firm. This activity, carried out by means of the subsidiary Poalim Trust Services, closed down in 2011. The documents also contains many correspondences concerning Bank Leumi activity in Jersey in the Channel Islands.
Most of the services provided by the tax haven industry are legal — strictly speaking, according the letter of the law. However, the documents show that banks, law firms and others involved in tax havens have not always been strict about conforming to the legal requirements that aim to ensure that clients are not involved in criminal activity, are not evading tax payments and are not involved in political corruption. In a number of cases, the documents show that intermediaries in the tax havens took measures to protect themselves and their clients by means of concealing suspicious fund transfers or making changes in the records. Sometimes this was done while encouraging crime and evading taxes.
A number of heads of states who have declared war on corruption star in the leaked documents. The investigation found companies registered in tax havens that are connected to the family of Chinese leader Xi Jinping, who swore to combat “the armies of corruption,” as well as to the president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, who sees himself as a reformer in a country that is rife with corruption. The documents also contain new information about transactions in tax shelters carried out by the late father of British Prime Minister David Cameron, a leader in the initiative to tackle the issue of tax havens.
The documents include information about one person convicted of money laundering and organizing illegal election donations of $50,000 which were then used to pay the burglars in the Watergate affair. They also contain the names of 29 of the billionaires on Forbes Magazine’s list of the 500 Richest People in the World, among them the Israeli Idan Ofer. Film star Jackie Chan, who is also on the Forbes list, owns at least six companies managed by the law firm. As is the case for many Mossack Fonseca clients, there is no evidence of illegal actions taken by Chan through these companies.
Owning a company registered in a tax haven is not illegal. Sometimes, for purposes of international financial transactions, this is a reasonable business decision. However, the Mossack Fonseca documents show that among its clients were Ponzi scheme initiators, drug lords, tax evaders and at least one convicted sex offender: An American businessman convicted of traveling to Russia to have sexual relations with orphaned minors signed documents as the director of a company registered in a tax haven while serving his prison sentence in New Jersey.
The documents also reveal new information about publicized scandals, from the largest gold heist in the history of Britain to accusations of corruption connected to FIFA, the international soccer association. The leaked documents show that the Uruguayan law firm of FIFA ethics committee member Juan Pedro Damiani had business ties to three men who have been convicted in the FIFA corruption case: former FIFA vice president Eugenio Figueredo and father and son Hugo and Mariano Jinkis. The latter two were convicted of paying bribes to obtain broadcast rights for soccer matches in South America. Documents show that Damiani’s law firm represented a company registered to Jinkis and seven others registered to Figueredo in a tax haven.
The name of the best soccer player in the world, Lionel Messi, also appears in the documents. A company in Panama called Mega Star Enterprises, Inc., which was established in 2012 by Mossack Fonseca, adds another name to the list of shelf companies connected to Messi that are currently under investigation by the Spanish authorities on suspicion of tax evasion.
Mossack Fonseca aggressively protects the confidentiality of their clients, be they famous or unknown. The files show that in Nevada, the firm tried to protect itself and its clients from the outcome of a legal suit by recruiting computer experts to erase evidence from the telephones and computers of its Las Vegas branch employees.
The leaked files show that the firm submitted backdated documents in order to help its clients profit from their financial transactions. This practice was so common that email exchanges from 2007 show that the firm’s employees discussed preparing a price list — for every month that a document was backdated, clients would pay $8.75.
In reply to ICIJ questions about these methods, Mossack Fonseca replied that backdating of documents “is a well-founded and accepted practice” that is “common in our industry and its aim is not to cover up or hide unlawful acts.” The company noted that it would not be able to answer questions about specific instances because of its obligation to maintain client privacy.
In a recent interview on Panamanian television, Ramon Fonseca, the founder of the law firm, said that his company is not responsible for what clients do in the businesses it helps them register in tax shelters. He compared his firm to “an automobile factory, which is no longer responsible once the car has been produced.” Blaming Mossack Fonseca for what people do with their companies, he said, would be like blaming the manufacturer “if a car it made was used for purposes of robbery.”
Not everyone agrees with him. “The findings show how deeply crime and illegal conduct are entrenched in the world of tax havens,” says economist Gabriel Zucman of the University of California at Berkeley, the author of the book “The Hidden Wealth of Nations: The Scourge of Tax Havens.” Zucman, who participated in the ICIJ investigation, says that the publication of the leaked documents should encourage governments to impose “concrete sanctions” on countries where such firms are registered and on institutions that provide confidentiality for companies using tax havens.

Interesting - no U.S. persons - maybe because the leak was released in conjunction with the Open Society Foundations a George Soros front.
So presumably this is a targeted operation rather than an attempt to expose everyone with their hand in the cookie jar.

Yep, a Google search reveals much about the focus the lamestream media has been ordered to take.
As usual, we see nothing but carefully managed and controlled revelations.
The revelation that 11 million documents were leaked to a German newspaper about a year ago will very likely come to nothing more than another lamestream media propaganda and spin exercise.
The 400 "select journalists" who have had access to this data for several months are without a doubt only journalists who are on the CIA's payroll.
Under the circumstances, the only cherry picked bits and pieces these 400 prostitutes can come up with relate mainly to Russia and Iceland. Why? Because the data that could damage the West's allies is strictly off-limits.
The obvious strategy that we will see play-out in the lamestream media is twofold:
Maintain focus on exposing those leaders who do not adhere to the New World Order's agenda. So, expect to see info on the same targets revamped over and over ad nausea.
Carefully avoid exposing the payoffs of those compliant political leaders who have been bought and paid for by the NWO's elite and their bankster friends so don't expect to see anything about the King of Saudi Arabia or the many other compliant leaders.
A Google search today proved this agenda is in play because Russia and Iceland both refuse to play ball when it comes to the NWO's agenda. As we all know, Iceland is the one country that refused to bail out the banksters in 2008 and instead gave them their marching orders. And Russia has been under a sustained propaganda attack for several years since they have been a leader of BRICS. No doubt that if China, Brazil or South Africa are clients of this law firm, we can expect to see their leaders exposed as well.
Here in Australia, our public broadcasters. the ABC and SBS will obligingly regurgitate what the international news services feed them as usual, using the excuse that they simply don't have the time or resources to think for themselves anymore.

I haven't researched this much as yet but the website of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists says the ICIJ "was launched as a project of the Centre for Public Integrity". This CPI lists as its funders people like the Rockefellers and Carnegies and other NWO criminals. (Go here https://www.publicintegrity.org/about/our-work/supporters) for the full list. So I would suspect that the ICIJ is just another CIA propaganda outlet masquerading as news.
As I understand it, the German newspaper brought in the ICIJ as their partner on this project. No doubt the owner(s) of this newspaper were ordered to do so in order to manage and control the revelations.
But always willing to be proven wrong!

One of the more prominent names featured in the Panama Papers disclosure is that of Iceland's Prime Minister Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson. The reason is that according to the leaked files, Prime Minister Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson and his wife secretly owned a company called Wintris set up in 2007 on the Caribbean island of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, to hold investments with his wealthy partner, later wife, Anna Sigurlaug Pálsdóttir.
As Guardian reports (http://www.theguardian.com/news/2016/apr/03/iceland-pm-calls-snap-election-offshore-revelations), the couple were living in the UK at the time and had been advised to set up a company in the tax haven in order to hold and invest substantial proceeds from the sale of Pálsdóttir’s share in her family’s business back in Iceland.
Gunnlaugsson owned a 50% stake in Wintris for more than two years, then transferred it to Pálsdóttir, who held the other 50%, for one dollar. The prime minister’s office now says his shareholding was an error and “it had always been clear to both of them that the prime minister’s wife owned the assets”. Once drawn to the couple’s attention in late 2009, the error was corrected.
Towards the end of Gunnlaugsson’s time as a Wintris shareholder, having returned to Iceland, he was elected to parliament as leader of the Progressive party.
Gunnlaugsson, who became prime minister four years later, never disclosed his Wintris shares on Iceland’s parliamentary register of MPs’ financial interests.
As the Guardian also reported earlier (http://www.theguardian.com/news/2016/apr/03/iceland-pm-calls-snap-election-offshore-revelations), in the video clip below [see original article (http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-04-03/first-panama-papers-casualty-former-iceland-premier-calls-current-prime-minister-res)], PM Gunnlaugsson walks out of an interview with Swedish television company SVT. Gunnlaugsson is asked about Wintris, which he says has been fully declared to the Icelandic tax authority. Gunnlaugsson says he is not prepared to answer such questions and decides to discontinue the interview, saying: ‘What are you trying to make up here? This is totally inappropriate.’
The prime minister and his wife then rushed out separate public statements in Icelandic condemning reporters’ intrusions into their private business matters.
Both stressed their financial interests had always been properly disclosed to the Icelandic tax authorities. The Guardian has seen no evidence to suggest tax avoidance, evasion or any dishonest financial gain on the part of Gunnlaugsson, Pálsdóttir or Wintris.
But it may be too late.
As the Guardian adds, the prime minister is this week expected to face calls in parliament for a snap election after the Panama Papers revealed he is among several leading politicians around the world with links to secretive companies in offshore tax havens.
The financial affairs of Sigmundur Davíð Gunnlaugsson and his wife have come under scrutiny because of details revealed in documents from a Panamanian law firm that helps clients protect their wealth in secretive offshore tax regimes. The files from Mossack Fonseca form the biggest ever data leak to journalists Opposition leaders have this weekend been discussing a motion calling for a general election – in effect a confidence vote in the prime minister.
On Monday, Gunnlaugsson is expected to face allegations from opponents that he has hidden a major financial conflict of interest from voters ever since he was elected an MP seven years ago. As Iceland's Visir reports (http://www.visir.is/-forsaetisradherra-verdur-strax-ad-segja-af-ser-og-rikisstjornin-oll-ad-fara-fra-/article/2016160409617), quoting a facebook post by Iceland's former PM Johanna Sigurdardottir, she is calling upon Gunnlaugssonto resign to "prevent a social uprising", and calling on him to “give a straightforward account of all the facts of the matter”. Google translated (http://www.visir.is/-forsaetisradherra-verdur-strax-ad-segja-af-ser-og-rikisstjornin-oll-ad-fara-fra-/article/2016160409617):
Prime Minister Johanna Sigurdardottir said debt his people to leave immediately and prevent an uprising in society.
Johanna Sigurdardottir, a former prime minister, says that the Prime Minister must immediately resign and the government all to leave. The Facebook post her she says that it is not just the credibility of the nation to the international community that is at stake - but will people never feel what leaders have been proven to be. It has formed a real breaches of confidentiality between the Government and the people of the country. Riots and anger in the community will not be weaker this collapse. Furthermore, says Johanna society will not have the Prime Minister that it needs to be ashamed, Prime Minister of the obvious has become the deception and dishonesty, the Prime Minister described was mistrust on the currency and the Icelandic economy by hiding their money in tax shelter, the Prime Minister does not seem to understand what morality is and wants to get yourself set up its own protocol, which is currently placed in the group with the perverse power brokers in the world. Prime Minister owes his people to leave immediately and prevent an uprising in society. The former finance minister Steingrímur Sigfússon told the Guardian: “We can’t permit this. Iceland would simply look like a banana republic. No one is saying he used his position as prime minister to help this offshore company, but the fact is you shouldn’t leave yourself open to a conflict of interest. And nor should you keep it secret.”
Essentially, Gunnlaugsson political career is over, and the only question is whether Goldman has already picked a banker to replace him.

From Jim Stone's site (http://82.221.129.208/ifyouareinamericayouprobablycantseethisr9.html). A little different take on this.
2.6 terabytes of data
The Mossack Fonseca Interactive Web Of Secret Companies
This is a mess. A jumble of disconnected stuff as I put this together.
Apparently Wikileaks got ahold of 2.6 terabytes of data that links a bunch of elite people, and shows how they are all connected in business. Additionally, it exposes a lot of money laundering through front companies But I have never trusted Wikileaks, plus this is getting parroted all over the elite owned media, and I therefore I am suspicious of the whole deal. If this was real, I would expect the elite run media to SHUT UP about it.
Preliminary conclusion: The zio press might be going nuts with this, in a frenzy to warn their criminal matrix.
UPDATE: THIS "WIKILEAK" WAS FUNDED (IN PART) BY GEORGE SOROS THROUGH HIS OPEN SOCIETY ORGANIZATION. So this is likely to only target people Soros wants trimmed from the elite ranks. That is a key piece of info, I knew this was too good to be true! This might just be a massive hit on the "old world order" and others who were resisting the new world order.
Suspicion: This could also be a Soros hit on BRICS. One way or another, this is going to benefit Soros.
Fairly rational conclusion: They are going to hang people who are not part of "the club" to get them out of the way before they slam a European based New World Order down.
CONFIRMED: (so far) they are only leaking secrets on Putin, the Chinese communist party, Iceland, Assad, the President of Argentina, and top political people from many of the Arab states. THIS IS STARTING TO LOOK LIKE A BULL**** WIKILEAK, TO BURN THE OPPOSITION TO THE NEW WORLD ORDER. They have so far only ditched people who are not playing the way the New World Order wants. This (so far) appears to be a slanted "wikileak" Soros setup to do a job. Lets hope it is more than that, but if BIBI, SHARON, SOROS, ROTHCHILD, MERKEL, THE CLINTON FOUNDATION AND OTHERS DO NOT FRY, THIS WILL BE A WHACK JOB ON THE LEGITIMATE OPPOSITION TO THE NEW WORLD ORDER AND NOTHING MORE.
Most likely they will use this to burn Trump.
Mossack Fonseca & Co. is a law firm and corporate service provider based in Panama with more than 40 offices worldwide. More than 500 banks, their subsidiaries and branches registered nearly 15,600 shell companies with Mossack Fonseca. My initial suspicion is that it is a lot bigger than that, and I am still getting details
Here is a damning article that is in, of all places, the Maltese press. Fonseca even has front companies that do not use their name directly, in tiny Malta! Fonseca really appears to be the go-to place for shady finances of powerful people, but I think this "wikileak" is going to end up being very selective over who it burns.
I am not going to call B.S. just yet, but am also not going to just soak it in like a sponge. More details needed. . . . waiting . . .

Sections of the British public have slammed their local media outlets for ignoring the fact Prime Minister David Cameron’s father was caught up in a massive data leak involving possible tax evasion.
A huge leak of more than 11.5 million documents from a Panama-based law firm saw the British media jump to accuse President Vladimir Putin of corruption, despite the Russian president not being named in any of the papers.
Putin’s photo popped up all over the British press. This has not been lost on people in the UK, who were scathing that so little attention was being paid to allegations that the prime minister’s father had been caught up in the alleged tax evasion scandal.
“Cameron's dad [is] directly involved but [of] course our 'free press' will focus solely on the friend of an acquaintance of Putin,” Twitter user Luke Maddison wrote in reply to an article published by Sky News.
The Guardian newspaper broke the story in the UK and led with the headline: “The secret $2bn trail of deals that lead all the way to Putin,” complete with a picture of the Russian president.
The irony is the Guardian put a story on David Cameron's crusade against tax havens right next to the article on Vladimir Putin, without even mentioning the fact that the leak revealed information about the PM's father.
One Twitter user said it was “tiresome” that Putin was being linked with everything, while main stream media was ignoring that “Cameron has been linked.”
Another Twitter user accused the BBC of being the “British Brainwashing Channel” for not mentioning David Cameron, while the person wondered whether this was “against national interest?”
The tenuous link to Putin was through a personal acquaintance and the accusations made against the Russian president were noted by members of the public.
“You state that Putin isn't listed yet you proceed to use his photo. Western anti-Putin propaganda machinery in full swing!” Mothibi Phosa II said, in reply to a Business Insider article on the topic.
Cameron has said on many occasions that he wants to tackle money laundering and make sure no dirty money enters the UK.
“I want Britain to be the most open country in the world for investment. But I want to ensure that all this money is clean money,” he said in July.
“There is no place for dirty money in Britain. Indeed, there should be no place for dirty money anywhere.”
The Independent and the Guardian did finally get around to publishing articles about Cameron’s father and senior Tories having offshore accounts to hide their wealth.
Cameron’s spokeswoman refused to comment on whether the UK prime minister’s family had invested money in offshore funds, which had been set up by his father, adding that this was a “private matter.”

Only just found this so have not had a chance to do much reading yet. Basically an expose of the elite hiding their money via shell companies. I'm seeing Soros's name linked with this but not sure why yet. West appears to be focusing on Putin's aides and ignoring their own dirty laundry.

The Panama Papers are out and the Panama Papers propaganda is out right along with it. So why does this new mega-leak seemingly only expose those in the State Department crosshairs or expendable others and not a single prominent American politician or businessman? And what does this have to do with the OECD's plan for a global taxation grid? Find out more in today's Thought For The Day with James Corbett.

A network of secret offshore deals and vast loans worth $2bn has laid a trail to Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin. An unprecedented leak of documents shows how this money has made members of Putin’s close circle fabulously wealthy.
Though the president’s name does not appear in any of the records, the data reveals a pattern – his friends have earned millions from deals that seemingly could not have been secured without his patronage. The documents suggest Putin’s family has benefited from this money – his friends’ fortunes appear his to spend. ~The Guardian

Iceland's prime minister is under pressure to resign in the wake of the leaked Panama Papers, which showed he and his wife used an offshore firm to allegedly hide million-dollar investments.
Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson should step down, former Social Democratic prime minister Johanna Sigurdardottir said on Monday.
More than 16,000 Icelanders have also signed a petition demanding his resignation, while the opposition has said it will seek a vote of no confidence in parliament, likely to be held this week.
According to the documents, Mr Gunnlaugsson and his wife Anna Sigurlaug Palsdottir bought the offshore company Wintris in the British Virgin Islands in December 2007.
He transferred his shares to his wife in 2009 for a token $1. Mr Gunnlaugsson has denounced the release of the documents and called it a witch hunt against him and his wife.

Panama, where Mossack Fonseca is based
panamapapers‘Germany’s Süddeutsche Zeitung (SZ) has released the biggest leak in

Interesting - no U.S. persons - maybe because the leak was released in conjunction with the Open Society Foundations a George Soros front.
So presumably this is a targeted operation rather than an attempt to expose everyone with their hand in the cookie jar.
You nailed it, I was asking myself the same question.:sherlock:
Panama Papers: Are Strategic Leaks A New Form Of Geopolitical Warfare?
By James Corbett
The Panama Papers are out and the Panama Papers propaganda is out right along with it. So why does this new mega-leak seemingly only expose those in the State Department crosshairs or expendable others and not a single prominent American politician or businessman? And what does this have to do with the OECD’s plan for a global taxation grid?

It's all about the timing.
Don't forget about this too: http://www.inquisitr.com/2957513/d-c-madams-former-lawyer-records-already-online-and-very-relevant-to-2016-election/
And remember that these 'elites' are not doing anything illegal if the financial frame-work allows. Morally repugnant, legally sound. It is the reason that the higher financial framework and legislation is the way it is........ One rule for them, one rule for us. Our attention will be guided toward individuals when really it should be pointed at the system.
I live in one of these off-shore jurisdictions', and to my eternal shame worked within the industry, and let me tell you, ALL people of prominence, power, wealth and birth-right have their money flow through these places. Why do you think they were set-up in the first place? Because of this fact, I think there is a lot more to these latest leaks. I am wondering if those in power are clearing the decks of some of those within 'the club' who may not be willing to play ball with what is just around the corner.
We will have to wait and see.

Start watching 26:20 till 33:30.
The message is:
1. The panama docs is a false flag attack.
2. The long term goal is NWO global taxation on the population. Deploying Problem/Reaction/Solution strategy.
To me PathWalker it feels more like:
1. A covert power show off in the financial WWIII we are having.
2. Another weapon to hold the ranks together, as the second level management in TPTB are gazing at the emergency exits.
3. A tool of control/power in delivering propaganda.
Note that the documents themselves are not accessible to the public.
todays uk column with Brian Gerrish and Mike Robinson give a good explanation of what might be going on.

My question: "What is the legitimate need for off-shore holding companies and how do I get one to shelter the tens of dollars I don't want to pay the government"?
Ridiculous. Can there be any other need for these shell companies than to hide untaxed income? Hard to convert one currency into another, is it? Can't use normal banks, can we?
Corporations have no home and heed no countries laws, that is how they can deposit money in nations that have favorable tax laws. Why do the rich feel they have a right to hide their massive profits, which most of the rest of us do not enjoy? Why do I have to pay my paltry taxes but these scum get to keep their millions and billions?
And no, that is not why I think these greedy pricks should be punished. I think income taxes should be abolished altogether and for the next few decades only the very rich should foot the bill for everything. We have been stolen from, we had to pay taxes which are not profit, while these scum went around acting like kings and queens - not even paying tax on their profit. We've payed our share and should not have to pay anymore. That would be fair - and that is exactly what will never happen. They'll get to walk and we'll have to keep paying what we can't afford...

Given the comments above, particularly those expressed by Pathwalker and the UKColumn, I tend to agree that this leak was staged. One of the more incriminating pieces of evidence are the direct links to George Soros and his Illuminati controllers. The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) is the organization carefully managing the panama papers and the ICIJ is linked directly to the Center for Public Integrity which, in turn, gets its funding from the Adessium Foundation, Open Society Foundations, the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, Oak Foundation, Pew Charitable Trusts and Waterloo Foundation. George Soros uses the Open Society Foundation to fund nefarious schemes like regime change. I like to think of him as the Illuminati's "bagman". The bottom line here is that if George Soros is involved, you know there's a hidden agenda and some dark forces at work behind the scenes. Who knows? Perhaps their intention here is to re-assert control by letting everyone know that they can spill the beans on anyone? Or, perhaps they have a few particular targets in mind that they will ensure get exposed here?

His analysis of the situation agrees with t he rest of this thread... this was a false flag, much like WIKI leaks, various ANONYMOUS "attacks" and even I think Edward Snowden... the fact these documents are not leaked in full directly to the public is un-ignorable to me & in my mind completely contradictory to the concept of a "leak"... it's not called a "filtered leak" it's called a "leak"....

Panama Papers hack was a U.S. operation: Notice how no U.S. names appear in the list?

‘On Monday, a bombshell story a year in the making and which will have major implications for scores
of people broke: Leaders, heads of state, drug dealers and other criminal enterprises are using a number
of tax havens around the world to hide wealth and conduct illegal monetary transactions.
According to what Fusion – which played a major role in assisting in the investigation of what has become
known as the “Panama Papers” – the names involved amount to “the Wikileaks of the mega-rich” and
include leaders from the Middle East, Europe and Africa…
…Perhaps oddly, though, missing from the list of names are any officials from the United States or any
known criminal enterprises known to operate in the U.S.
What’s more, according to Breitbart News, the leak of the Panama Papers was facilitated, in part, by a
group funded by billionaire George Soros, as the mainstream media focuses primarily on the connection
of several of the individuals to Russian President Vladimir Putin.’

By David on 5 April 2016 GMT

‘British Prime Minister David Cameron’s spokeswoman declined to comment on Monday
on whether the leader’s family had money invested in offshore funds set up by his father,
saying it was a “private matter”.
Cameron’s late father, Ian Cameron, was among hundreds of thousands clients named in
more than 11.5 million leaked documents from the files of a law firm based in the tax
haven of Panama.
In 2012, British media reported that Cameron’s father ran a network of offshore investment
funds to help build the family fortune.
Asked whether she could confirm that no family money was still invested in those funds,
Cameron’s spokeswoman said: “That is a private matter, I am focused on what the
government is doing.”’

The Panama Papers Leak appears to have been completely orchestrated by Western warmongerers intent in fomenting an Official war with Syria and Iran - with propaganda against and payback for Putin for having embarrassed the U.S. over their failed "efforts" to reign in the monster-of-their-own-creation, ISIS.
No doubt, some poor Western elites will eventually be tossed under the bus to make things look legit. There must be lots of panicky barks of loyalty from the as yet unexposed elites, vying to not be first in line for that bus.
I don't believe for a second that MSM is guilty of only releasing leaks against non-Westerners. That's just another distraction. The Western Press IS guilty for not loudly questioning the imbalance of what's been released and/or actively investigating how this "leak" came about. But then there's nothing new there.
Anyone else exposed by these "leaks" were freebies...strong arming, payback or to serve as a warning to others not to mess with the Cabal. Their audacity makes the Cosa Nostra, Columbian Drug Lords and even ISIS look like pansies. However, this same audacity may be what leads to their self-undoing.

Do you think it is plausible that there are more of these crooked holding companies out there, cooking up the books for other mega-rich clients - or do you think this is the only one?
What do you think will come of it? Reforms, prosecutions, reparations? Any or all of the above?
Sorry that makes two questions.

If second tier elites are looking for the exits (as a post here indicates might be the state of affairs), this means that top level elites have the control structure wired for demolition in a controlled manner. One where second tiers become irrelevant and the top elites will be unharmed.

Now we know. Most of those with these shell companies are just innocent very rich people, trying to make it harder for themselves to spend their money. Or they just think it's fun to buy off-shore businesses. Or they bought it because they thought they could make some legal above-board profit... Very few are actually involved in criminal activity.
And it is no more a suspicious activity than a kid hiding their piggy bank at their friend's place, supposedly because mommy likes to snoop through their things and the child doesn't want them to know. haha. lol. really? Isn't that evasion? and isn't tax evasion exactly the crime we are discussing?

DIPLOMACY BY DECEPTION by Dr. John Coleman
8 - Panama: The Naked Truth (http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/sociopolitica/diplomacy_deception/diplomacy_deception08.htm) ~bibliotecapleyades.net
One of the more recent examples is perhaps also the most blatant diplomacy by deception case on record: The Carter-Torrijos Panama Canal Treaty. The treaty deserves closer scrutiny than it was subjected to at the time it was drawn up and allegedly negotiated. I hope to bring out important implications that were never fully nor properly explored or addressed which now more than ever, need amplification. One of these is the danger that we, the sovereign people, face of being forced under the jurisdiction of the United Nations in the near future. A slippery deal like Carter's Panama Canal give-away, could be sprung on us again if we don't know what to look for.
Not generally known is that Anglo-Persian, a British government owned oil company, tried to buy a concession from the Colombian government for canal rights flanking U.S. territory, at the time the United States was negotiating with Colombia for these rights. Irving Frederick Yates, a British diplomat, almost pulled off a deal with Colombia that would have thwarted U.S. plans to purchase the land for the canal zone. Yates was stopped at the last minute by a diplomatic incident which invoked the Monroe Doctrine.
A short review of the history of how the United States acquired the land through which the Panama Canal was built, might help us to understand subsequent events:
In the period 1845-1849, the government of Colombia concluded a treaty with the United States, granting the U.S. right of transit across the Isthmus of Panama.
In 1855 Panama was given federal status by a constitutional amendment Prior to the revolution of 1903, Panama had been part of Colombia.
On April 19, 1850, the Clayton-Bulwer treaty between Great Britain and the United States was signed, in which both parties agreed not to obtain or maintain any exclusive control of a proposed canal, and guaranteed its neutrality. At the time Colombian oil was the key issue.
On February 5, 1900, the first Hay Pauncefote treaty between Great Britain and the United States was signed. The treaty renounced British rights to a joint construction to build a canal and ownership, and was rejected when it reached the British Parliament
The second Hay-Pauncefote treaty was signed in November 1901, giving the United States the sole right of construction, maintenance and control of a canal.
On Jan. 23,1903, the Hay-Heran treaty between Colombia and the United States was signed, which provided for the acquisition by the United States of a canal zone. The Colombian Senate did not ratify the treaty.
The Hay-Bunua-Varilla treaty between the United States and the new government of Panama was signed on Nov. 18,1903: Panama sold in perpetuity a zone five miles wide on either side of the future canal, with full jurisdiction to the United States.
The United States gained the right also to fortify the canal zone, and paid $10 million for the rights and further agreed to pay an annual fee of $250,000.
Released from the Clayton-Bulwer Treaty in January of 1903, the United States and Colombia negotiated the Hay-Herran Treaty, which accorded United States sovereignty over the territory five miles wide on either side of the proposed canal.
The treaty was signed on Feb. 26,1904. It is of the utmost importance to take cognizance that the land five miles wide on either side of the proposed canal, was henceforth sovereign United States territory, which could not be given away or otherwise disposed of, save and except by a Constitutional amendment ratified by all of the states.
Ratification of the treaty was delayed by Colombia and it was not until eleven years later, on April 6,1914, that the Thompson-Urrutia treaty was signed, with the U.S. expressing regret over differences that had arisen with Colombia, and agreeing to pay Colombia the sum of $25 million by which action, Colombia ratified the treaty.
On Sept. 2,1914, the boundaries of the Canal Zone were defined and further sovereign rights of protection were conceded to the United States. The Panama Canal Zone then became sovereign territory of the United States.
The Thompson-Urrutia Treaty was signed on April 20, 1921. The terms of the treaty were that Colombia recognized the independence of Panama. The previously disputed boundaries were fixed, and diplomatic relations established with the signing of various accords between Panama and Colombia.
The U.S. Senate delayed ratification for another seven years, but on April 20, 1928, finally ratified the Thompson-Urrutia Treaty with certain modifications.
The Colombian Congress similarly ratified the treaty on Dec. 22,1928.
Previously, in 1927 the Panamanian government said that it did not give the United States sovereignty at the time the treaties were signed. But the League of Nations refused to hear this patently absurd dispute, and the indisputable American sovereignty of the Panama Canal Zone territory was reconfirmed when President Florencio Harmodio Arosemena disavowed the Panama government's appeal to the League of Nations.
It is of the utmost importance for every American, especially in these days, when the Constitution is being trampled underfoot by politicians, to take note of how the U.S. Constitution was scrupulously observed throughout the negotiations with Colombia and Panama. Treaties were drawn up and by the Senate and signed by the President. An appropriate period of time was allowed to pass while the agreement was studied before it was ratified.
Later, we shall compare the constitutional manner in which the treaty between the U.S. and Colombia over Panama was handled, with the slipshod, deceptive, crooked, wreathed in dishonesty, unconstitutional, bordering on fraudulent conduct of the Carter administration in giving the property of the sovereign people of the United States to Panamanian dictator Omar Torrijos, and actually paying him to accept it.
Much more at link.

Reply to Ernie:
Panama is only one of many tax havens around the world and so each tax haven would have several companies like Mossack Fonsecca.
What do I think will come of it all? Not much because it is being tightly controlled by the ICIJ which answers to George Soros. So they won't go after any Western leader. Their aim (so far) is to smear Putin and Iceland, and probably China and a few other countries that don't play ball with the banksters. They may claim a few scalps, but no allied leaders will be damaged. The ICIJ is no doubt under strict orders in that regard. Having said that, we may see a few government taxation authorities go after a few individuals. I wouldn't get my hopes up on this like a lot of people are doing.

‘President Barack Obama criticized “poorly designed” laws allowing for illicit money
transfers worldwide as the US Treasury issued new rules to stop companies from
avoiding US taxes simply by buying up foreign businesses and changing their
headquarters.
This relocation behavior, known as a corporate tax “inversion,” has come under
heavy fire from lawmakers because companies move their headquarters overseas
to claim a lower tax residence and, at the same time, keep their core operations
and management based in the United States. Once an inversion is successful, the
company no longer becomes subject to US corporate tax laws.’

‘When it comes to The City of London, the term ‘tax haven’ is not describing all that
it should. It doesn’t just shield the mega-wealthy from paying their fair dues it goes
further and offers a departure from the rule of law as you would know it. Secrecy is
its raison d’être. These secrecy laws do not benefit the local people living in its
jurisdiction but only those individuals and corporations with enough money and
with something to hide.
The reality is that the City of London caters for those above the law, it operates on
the basis of bypassing democratic society as a whole. This has come about over
time where an extraordinary ‘gentlemens agreement’ has stood the test of time.
The head of state and his/her governments have the need of large loans for wars
and the like, the City, in exchange for such commodity has extracted certain
privileges the rest of the population do not enjoy. The end result over the centuries
is that it now has its own financial jurisdiction to do pretty much as it pleases.’

Thanks to the links cidersomerset gave us above. One of those links stand out and that is this one: http://www.prisonplanet.com/soros-and-ford-foundation-behind-the-panama-papers.html. In it, there is the information below which effectively explains what the Rothschilds are doing behind the scenes and why they have ordered their bagman George Soros to do what he's doing through the ICIJ:
The Panama Papers expose offshore tax havens in Switzerland, the Bahamas, Grand Cayman, and Panama, but says nothing about a new arrangement legalized under FATCA, the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act. The law “makes the parking of dirty US money abroad practically impossible. So where does that money go instead—it stays in the US,” writes Zero Hedge. “And, to top it off, there is one specific firm which is spearheading the conversion of the U.S. into Panama: Rothschild.”
The international bankster institution opened a trust company in Reno, Nevada. “It is now moving the fortunes of wealthy foreign clients out of offshore havens such as Bermuda, subject to the new international disclosure requirements, and into Rothschild-run trusts in Nevada, which are exempt,” Bloomberg reports. The United States “is effectively the biggest tax haven in the world,” boasted Andrew Penny of Rothschild. One of the world’s largest providers of offshore accounts, Trident Trust, opened an office in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
The financial elite will gladly sacrifice Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson, the prime minister of Iceland, and even the family of David Cameron, to get at Vladimir Putin.
I know many question Alex Jones, but in this case, PrisonPlanet has gone even deeper down the rabbit hole for us! It wouldn't surprise me if in fact the Rothschild merchant banksters are contacting all Monsack Fonseca clients to help them move their assets and park them in Nevada.

A partner at Mossack Fonseca, the Panamanian law firm at the centre of a huge
leak of confidential financial data, says it was the victim of a hack.Ramon Fonseca
said the leak was not an "inside job" - the company had been hacked by servers
based abroad. It had filed a complaint with the Panamanian attorney general's office.
Several countries are investigating possible financial wrongdoing by the rich and
powerful after the leak of more than 11 million documents.

"We are amazed that nobody has said: 'Hey, a crime has been committed here,'"
Mr Fonseca, one of the firm's founding partners, told Reuters news agency.
"The world is already accepting that privacy is not a human right," he told AFP
agency separately.Last week the company reportedly sent an email to its clients
saying it had suffered "an unauthorised breach of our email server".

The company has accused media organisations reporting the leak of
having "unauthorised access to proprietary documents and information taken from
our company" and of presenting this information out of context. In a letter to the
Guardian newspaper on Sunday, the company's head of public relations threatened
possible legal action over the use of "unlawfully obtained" information. The
revelations have already sparked political reaction in several countries where high-

European football body Uefa confirmed on Wednesday that Swiss police had
searched its offices in relation to the Panama papers. It said police had a warrant to
look for contracts between Uefa and Cross Trading/Teleamazonas.The Panama
papers suggest current Fifa president Gianni Infantino signed off on a contract with
two businessmen who have since been accused of bribery.Mr Infantino signed off
the contract in 2006 as a Uefa director. He says he is "dismayed" that his "integrity
is being doubted" and denies any wrongdoing.
Also on Wednesday, Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko reacted to his name
being linked to the papers. He said he had created an offshore holding company for
his confectionery business when he became president in 2014 but not to avoid
taxes. He said: "If we have anything to be investigated, I am happy to do that. This
is absolutely transparent from the very beginning. No hidden account, no
associated management, no nothing."

Fugitive whistleblower Edward Snowden has perfectly summed up David Cameron's
attitude to the Panama Papers revelations.Yesterday, the Prime Minister wouldn't
answer questions over his family's use of tax havens.Mr Cameron's father, Ian, paid
no UK duty for 30 years on a firm run from the Bahamas. When asked if any
Cameron cash was hidden in offshore accounts, Downing St replied: “That’s a
private matter.”
But last night, Mr Snowden, who has heavily criticised the UK's push for mass
government snooping on emails and browsing histories , pointed out the PM's
hypocrisy.
He tweeted, simply: "Oh, now he's interested in privacy."

Furious anti-tax avoidance campaigners and critics last night demanded the PM

Ministry of Truth? BBC to erect George Orwell statue outside London HQ
By David on 5 April 2016 GMT Big Brother, Useless Media

‘Despite his resignation from the BBC in 1943, when he grew tired of “pushing
propaganda,” a statue of George Orwell, author of the dystopian ‘1984’, will soon
be erected outside the broadcaster’s London HQ.
The statue of Orwell – real name Eric Blair – will be accompanied by a plaque that
reads: “If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they
do not want to hear,” the Guardian reported on Monday.
Sculptor Martin Jennings told the Guardian: “I was delighted when I visited the site
to find it littered with cigarette butts – that is absolutely the place for Orwell, who
was rarely seen without a cigarette in hand, to the grave detriment of his health.”’

I fully understand the Panama papers target on Putin, Iceland PM, Chile PM.
I do not understand why the target is on UK PM and Zealand PM.

@PathWalker - There's an agenda to remove Cameron from office and place somebody else in his place. Same for NZ. Best way to do is to attach some kind of crime or discret them in some way. There's a similar situation going on in my country too. Not that the government or the PM'er are pretty smelling flowers, but the alternative, the opposition parties are a ready-to-use tools, and they represent the worst case scenario.
What I don't understand is, the reaction the world has to these papers. 11.5K documents, not one is american? As if the US is all of the sudden, some kind of incorruptible, ethical kingdom of bliss? I understand alt. media circles may have their doubts, but I'm puzzled how most of the regular population has not found something odd about that in particular. I feel mostly bad for Iceland, they did something great and brave when nobody in similar position would have dared to do. Another thing I found funny - most media outlets, and organizations focusing on anti-corruption, have demanded, and were listened to, prosecution for all the guilty and even allegedly guilty parties in the documents, yet not a single word is uttered toward those who illegally reached these documents, the hackers. Nobody asks for their hunt and prison sentences. Yet most of the similar cases we know of, have gone waaaay out there in terms of attempts and devotion, to get certain people jailed, for LIFE (Can I hear the names of the plethora of Piracy Advocates? Julian Assange? Edward Snowden? Gary McKinnon?). No, the funny part that nobody wants the hackers found is just half of it, the other half is the regular folk, again, don't think of the same thing and go along with the flow, not using their heads.

Interesting - no U.S. persons - maybe because the leak was released in conjunction with the Open Society Foundations a George Soros front.
So presumably this is a targeted operation rather than an attempt to expose everyone with their hand in the cookie jar.
I jumped through the thread without reading all of it - This pretty much explains everything.
Murdoch and Soros are both part of the B-300. Look what just two of them can do, with some of their "lesser minions" around. What about the other 298?

Panama Papers: Putin rejects corruption allegations
President Putin has denied "any element of corruption" over the Panama Papers
leaks, saying his opponents are trying to destabilise Russia.
Mr Putin was speaking for the first time since the leak of millions of confidential
documents from the Panama-based law firm Mossack Fonseca.
The papers revealed a number of offshore companies owned by close associates of
Mr Putin.
They suggest the companies may have been used for money laundering.
Mr Putin said Russia's opponents "are worried by the unity of the Russian nation...
and that is why they are attempting to rock us from within, to make us more
obedient".
"There is a certain friend of the president, he did such and such a thing, and there
is probably a corruption element there, but there isn't any," Mr Putin went on to
say.
He praised his long-time friend, the cellist Sergei Roldugin, who is named in the
papers as the owner of two offshore firms which made millions of dollars of profits.
Mr Putin said he was proud of people like Mr Roldugin who had spent nearly all the
money he had earned on musical instruments and donating money to state
institutions.
Mr Roldugin has known Mr Putin since they were teenagers and is godfather to the
president's daughter Maria.

David Cameron has said he and his wife owned shares in an offshore trust set up
by his late father, before selling them for £30,000 in 2010.
The PM has faced questions over Blairmore Holdings, a Panama-based company set
up by his late father Ian.
He told ITV News he did not have "anything to hide" and had paid all UK taxes due
on the profits he made from the sale of the shares.
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn had called on the PM to publish his tax returns.
Leaked documents revealed Ian Cameron was a client of Panamanian law firm
Mossack Fonseca and used one of the most secretive - albeit lawful - tools of the
offshore trade after he helped set up a fund for investors.
Mr Cameron told ITV News: "Samantha and I had a joint account and we owned
5,000 units in Blairmore investment trust which we sold in January 2010, that was
worth something like £30,000.
He added: "I paid income tax on the dividends but there was a profit on it but that
was less than the capital gains tax allowance, so I didn't pay capital gains tax, but
it was subject to all the UK taxes in all the normal ways."

Yes, Mossack Fonseca may now be history, and its countless uberwealthy clients exposed, but none other than Rothschild is now delighted to be able to fill its rather large shoes. In fact, someone with a conspiratorial bent may decide that today's dramatic takedown of the Panama "offshoring" industry was nothing more than a hit designed to crush the competition of domestic "tax haven" providers... suxh as Rothschild.
I believe there is more to it...

Shell Companies, Secrecy and the U.S.
The recent exposé by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists and their media partners have once again shown the insidious role that tax havens, corporate secrecy and shell companies play in aiding widespread crime, corruption and violence. These threaten the safety, security and well-being of people around the world.
What’s less well known is that, despite stereotypes portraying the problem of tax havens and shell companies as an ‘offshore’ problem, this is a big and homegrown issue in the U.S. as well.

It is important to read Gordon Duff to get the CIA's (his handlers) view on the event.
Especially knowing how VA edits and filters its information is essential when assessing its source.
Yet it always contains some truths in order to stay relevant.
Worth the time reading, as always Gordon is trying to divert the flames to Israel, Romney and missing 3 trillions from pentagon.
I fully understand the Panama papers target on Putin, Iceland PM, Chile PM.
I do not understand why the target is on UK PM and Zealand PM.
Please explain.
The Very Nasty Truth About the Panama Papers-VT

Not too sure myself PathWalker - this is speculation only: According to "some" - prior to the Christchurch Earthquake, the Cabal wanted NZ's pristine shores for themselves after they intended to lay waste to the rest of the world. They were refused. Consequently, the devestating earthquake happened by artifcial means shortly thereafter as punishment (keep in mind that no known faultline existed in Christchurch prior to this, and the seismic signature - like many large earthquakes around the world beginning with possibly Kobe and certainly Fukushima, before & since, did not have a "normal" seismic signature) and notably, some questionable and perhaps deliberate sabotaging has occurred since in attempts to destroy NZ's economy, perhaps to "keep NZ in check".
No accident that the initial TPP agreement was also recently signed by global leaders supporting it, in NZ (most NZ'ers are completely against it).
Perhaps the best evidence are hard-to-get in old leaked documents called, The Gemstone Files.

Talk about a bloody hypocrite!...
David Cameron 'must resign' after finally admitting shares in offshore tax haven, Labour MP John Mann says
'The key issue here is, he failed to tell parliament, he failed to declare it'
Jess Staufenberg

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/david-cameron-must-resign-after-admitting-shares-offshore-tax-haven-john-mann-labour-mp-panama-a6974071.html
David Cameron has "no choice" but to resign in the face of revelations that he had a profitable stake in his father's offshore investment fund, an MP has claimed.
John Mann, Labour MP for Bassetlaw in Nottinghamshire, has called on the Prime Minister to step down from office after "failing to be honest" with the voting public on several occasions.
Mr Mann, a high-profile campaigner for tax transparency, told Sky News: "It's taken six attempts for journalists to get this out of Mr Cameron - who didn't recall Parliament to allow us as MPs to question him.
"The question is one of honesty here, he's covered this up [...]
"The key issue is, he failed to tell parliament, he failed to declare it, he failed to tell the British people standing for Prime Minister."
The revelations came after a huge leak of documents from the Panama-based firm Mossack Fonseca, a law firm and corporate services provider which appears to have enabled clients to hide billions of dollars in tax havens.
After his father was listed as one such client, Mr Cameron was forced to issue a number of statements about the benefits he and his family enjoyed from the offshore fund, with Downing Street first saying that it was a "private matter".
He then stated that he had "no shares, no offshore trusts, no offshore funds" and would not have any in the future.
John Mann has said it took "six attempts" by journalists to get the full truth out of David Cameron (Press Association)
Questions about the past were raised, however, resulting in Mr Cameron confessing in interview with ITV News that he had shares in his father Ian's tax haven fund that he sold for £31,500 just before becoming Prime Minister in 2010.
His father's company, Blairmore Holdings, paid no tax in 30 years.
The PM also admitted he did not know whether the £300,000 he inherited from his father's will in 2010 had also benefited from the tax haven status.
Mr Mann added that Jimmy Carr, who used a legal tax loophole to pay as little as one per cent tax on his earnings, would think the Prime Minister hypocritical for criticising the comedian's actions as "morally wrong" while himself having benefited from such arrangements.
"He's got to resign, he's got no choice," said Mr Mann. "It's very, very straightforward."
Edward Snowden, who disclosed information about the scale of global surveillance programmes, has also tweeted in the wake of revelations: "The next 24 hours could change Britain."
Mr Snowden also implied the British public should protest effectively rather than simply hope something would be done, saying "with respect, hope is not a strategy."
A protest against Mr Cameron is planned for 9 April outside Number 10 Downing Street, according to a group on Facebook.
At the time of the revelations about Jimmy Carr's tax avoidance measures in 2012, Mr Cameron said: "The government is acting by looking at a general anti-avoidance law but we do need to make progress on this.
"It is not fair on hardworking people who do the right thing and pay their taxes to see these sorts of scams taking place."

One Day After The Panama Papers Were Leaked, IRS Headquarters Closes Then Catches Fire
By David on 8 April 2016 GMT

‘As we have been covering this week, the release of the Panama Papers has created a panic
among world governments, by exposing some of their darkest secrets.
In the leak, 11.5 million documents were stolen from Mossack Fonseca and were leaked to
Suddeutsche Zeitung, who then turned to the International Consortium of Investigative
Journalists to examine the documents. In the time since, media organizations have been
scrambling to sift through a large number of documents, in hopes of finding stories that
they can spin to fit their narrative.
So far, most of the information to be released through the mainstream media has been
directed at foreign governments and leaders, with a passing mention of several hundred
American citizens who store their money offshore without reporting it to the IRS. Ironically
enough, at the height of the Panama Papers publicity, a fire broke out in the basement of
the IRS headquarters, leading to a full closure of the headquarters for over a week.’

New Iceland law allows jailed bankers to walk free amid Panama Papers scandal
By David on 8 April 2016 GMT
‘Three top figures from Iceland’s failed Kaupthing Bank have been released from jail
after barely serving a quarter of their sentences due to a new law. It comes as Iceland
deals with a fresh scandal linking the ex-PM to both the Panama offshore revelations
and the bank.Former chairman of Kaupthing, Sigurdur Einarsson, its biggest shareholder,
Olafur Olafsson, and the finance director of the Luxembourg branch, Magnus Gudmundsson,
were released from the low-security Kviabryggju prison on Thursday.
The bankers have served just one year of their four-to-five year sentences. All were convicted
of financial fraud ahead of the collapse of the country’s biggest bank in October 2008.’

Resign! Demand is building for Cameron to quit

The image is for an event on Saturday but will David Cameron last that long?
He has admitted lying to the public about money he gained by holding shares in one
of the firms his father ran, based in a tax haven to avoid paying UK tax. But Ian
Cameron apparently had more than one firm based in a tax haven, and took legal
advice on which were the best tax havens to use, so David’s claim that Panama
-based Blairmore was a company for people who wanted to invest in dollar-denominated
shares doesn’t have substance.
They could have done that from the UK.
Claims by supporters – such as Anna Soubry on the BBC’s Question Time – that Ian
Cameron’s behaviour was not illegal are also pointless. David Cameron made a very
clear statement that he considered tax avoidance to be “immoral” in 2012. Now we
know that he profited from at least one such “immoral” scheme. And from how many
more, about which we may still know nothing?’

Cameron personally fought to keep tax dodging alive in the EU

Cameron personally fought to keep tax dodging alive in the EU
April 7th April 16
‘David Cameron personally shielded offshore trusts from EU transparency laws, it has
been revealed. His 2013 letter arguing for offshore trusts to be removed from an
EU-wide crackdown on tax avoidance was successful. The Prime Minister secured the
exemption of trusts from the same public access laws as companies. Therefore,
Cameron personally fought to facilitate EU tax dodging through relieving trusts from
public accountability.
Spring has been rocky for Cameron. First, his Work and Pensions Secretary resigns
and publicly condemns austerity economics. Then, his father is named and shamed
in a tax avoidance scandal that has dominated the headlines. Leaked documents from
the Panama-based law firm Mossack Fonseca this week revealed the late Ian Cameron
set up an offshore trust to avoid tax.
Now it surfaces that Cameron fought on the side of tax dodgers on an EU level.’

Cameron comes clean on father’s offshore trust, admits profiting from tax haven
By David on 8 April 2016 GMT
RT NEWS....
‘UK Prime Minister David Cameron has admitted that he has benefited from shares
in an offshore trust set up by his father, Ian, which was revealed in the Panama Papers
leak. Cameron claims to have sold the shares before taking office in 2010, however.
“We owned 5,000 units in Blairmore Investment Trust, which we sold in January 2010.
That was worth something like £30,000 (about $42,000),” he told the UK’s ITV news,
admitting that these have been “a difficult few days.”
Cameron says that, between 1997 and 2010, he and his wife, Samantha Cameron,
owned shares in Blairmore Investment Trust, a multimillion-pound offshore trust fund
established by his late father, Ian Cameron.’

Atlanticist Elites Tried to Smear Icelandic Leadership with ‘Panama Papers’ Limited Hangout
April 8, 2016 By 21wire
21st Century Wire says…
All you need to know: the international banking elite, and financial mafia men like George Soros,
hate Iceland. The Panama Papers represent an offshore tax haven honey pot and a highly effective
international blackmail tool.
So it was no surprise that the international corporate media used a much-hyped ‘Panama Papers’
PR stunt in order to smear the Icelandic leadership because this little Viking nation stuck it to the
banking elite. Since 2008, the bankers have been trying to crush Iceland under a pile of counterfeit
toxic paper. Iceland fought back, and painted a target on themselves in the process.
A 10,000 strong, Soros-style color revolution flash mob even assembled outside Iceland’s parliament
earlier this week on Tuesday. Even the Guardian got in on the act earlier this week, claiming that
Iceland’s Prime Minister had ‘resigned’, exclaiming how he was “implicated” in the Panama limited
hangout data dump.
This is just one more glaringly obvious exhibit which further discredits the establishment’s elaborate
media front – the grandios, albeit highly synthetic, “International Consortium of Investigative Journalists”
(try not to laugh).
Here is the real reason that Iceland was targeted this week…

The Panama Papers: The People Deceived (http://journal-neo.org/2016/04/09/the-panama-papers-the-people-deceived/)
By Christopher Black New Eastern Outlook (http://journal-neo.org/2016/04/09/the-panama-papers-the-people-deceived/) Sat, 09 Apr 2016 00:00 UTC
http://journal-neo.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Obama-wins-Peace-Prize-300x223.jpg (http://journal-neo.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Obama-wins-Peace-Prize.jpg)
Umberto Eco in his last book, Numero Zero, in describing the reality of the manipulating and manipulated western media, has a newspaper editor say, “let’s just stick to spreading suspicion. Someone is involved in fishy business, and though we don’t know who it is, we can give him a scare. That’s enough for our purposes. Then we’ll cash in, our proprietor can cash in, when the time is right.”
And that is exactly what is happening with the appearance simultaneously in all the western media, on Sunday, April 3 of a story about what are called the Panama Papers. The story attributed to a shadowy organisation called the International Coalition of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) has all the hallmarks of an operation by western secret services to attempt to subvert targeted governments. The primary target is of course President Putin in order to influence the coming elections and to further attempt to portray him in the eyes of the peoples of the west as a criminal.
But the targets also include FIFA directors, continuing the harassment of FIFA by the United States government, in order to keep Russia out of the next world cup football games, Lionel Messi one of the world’s best football players, perhaps because he refused a request by President Obama’s daughters to meet him when Obama visited Argentina, Jackie Chan, no doubt punishment for supporting the Communist Party of China, and various people blacklisted by the United States for dealing with North Korea, Iran, Hezbollah, Syria and other American designated enemies.
They include President Poroshenko of Ukraine, perhaps signalling they are tired of him, the prime minister of Iceland, since forced to resign, no doubt for jailing bankers, seizing their banks and giving the people some compensation for their losses in the financial crisis of 2008, Hosni Mubarak who has accused the United States of trying to overthrow him, the murdered Gadhafi, and Xi Jinping, president of China. No Americans or NATO leaders are named though David Cameron’s father is named, perhaps a slap at Cameron for allowing a referendum to take place on whether Britain should leave the European Union, which would reduce US influence in Europe.
Essentially these people are all considered by the United States government to be enemies or critics of the United States in one way or another, or no longer reliable partners.
The immediate positioning of President Putin as the principal target of this story, despite the fact he is not mentioned in the documents, coupled with the timing of the story make a reasonable observer conclude that this information was not released just to inform the public but to subvert and discredit chosen governments, that is, it is a propaganda operation, using information that will get the attention of the masses. The rich hiding their money is always a good way to generate anger among the people and to provoke unrest in order to destabilise governments, as we saw just happened in Iceland. It does not matter whether the information in the story is true or not. Some of the information may be but the law firm from which the information was stolen says much of what the story says is untrue. But it doesn’t really matter because the story is what is important and that’s all that people see.
This conclusion is the more inescapable when the true nature of the ICIJ is revealed. For to understand what this story is about it is important to know who put it out, with whom they are connected and who provides the money.
The key is found in the list of the members of the Advisory Board, the Board of Directors and the funders of its parent organisation, the Centre For Public Integrity (CFPI). The ICIJ states on its website that is a non-profit organisation. That technically may be true but they failed to add that they act for the profit of the people who fund them and who control their operations. Funders of the CFPI include the Democracy Fund, the Carnegie Foundation, the Ford Foundation, the MacArthur Foundation, the Open Society Foundations of George Soros, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, the Rockefeller Family Fund and many others of the same pedigree. Individual donors include such people as Paul Volcker, former chairman of the US Federal Reserve and many others of the powerful US corporate and financial elite.
Its Advisory Board includes Geoffrey Cowan, who was appointed Director of Voice of America by President Clinton in 1994 and was in 1994-96 associate director of the United States Information Agency. He is now president of the Annenberg Foundation which has hosted US presidents at its retreat in California, dubbed Camp David West, including President Obama. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations which is the American think tank whose membership includes several former heads of the CIA, several US Secretaries of State, and connected media figures and which has the role of promoting globalisation, free trade and other economic and foreign policies for the benefit of the rich and powerful in America.
The Advisory Board also includes Hodding Carter III, former assistant secretary of state under President Carter and later a journalist for major western media such as BBC, ABC, CBC, CNN, NBC, PBS Wall Street Journal, and now President of the Knight Foundation. There is Edith Everett, President of Gruntal and Company, one of the oldest and biggest investment banks in New York City, Hebert Hafif, connected establishment lawyer, Kathleen Hill Jamieson, Dean of the Annenberg School for Communication, an expert on the use of the media for political purposes including how to influence political campaigns and elections, and Sonia Jarvis, a lawyer who once worked with President Clinton,
It includes Harold Hongji Koh who was a legal adviser at the US Department of State from 2009 to 2013, nominated by President Obama, who in March 2010 gave a speech supporting the legality of drone assassinations. There is Charles Ogletree, Harvard law professor and a close friend of President Obama, Allen Pusey, publisher and editor of the American Bar Association Journal, Ben Sherwood, co-chair of Disney Media, former president of ABC News and also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Paul Volcker not only is an individual financial supporter but is also on the Board. Aside from his position as a former chairman of the Federal Reserve (1979-1987) he was also chair of the US Economic Advisory Board, appointed by President Obama (2009-2011) a former chair of the Trilateral Commission, worked for the Chase Manhattan Bank and is very close to the Rockefeller family.
It includes Harold Williams, former Chair of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (1977-1981) and member of board of directors of dozens of companies, William Julius Wilson, professor of sociology at Harvard and, last but not least, Christiane Amanpour, chief war propagandist for CNN, who just a few days ago appeared on CNN acting out a charade in which she interviewed a staffer from the ICIJ about the Panama Papers while pretending not to know anything about them. She was in fact interviewing a member of her own organisation but she never informed her viewers of this. For some reason her name does not appear on the CFPI website but her name does appear in the organisation’s latest annual report for 2014-15.
The Board of Directors includes Peter Beale a former head of CNN.com, a former Reuters agent, editor at the London Times, and Microsoft editorial director, as well as Arianna Huffington, president of Post Media, and Bill Kovach, journalist for the New York Times, to name just a few of the establishment figures listed.
The point is made. This is not some independent, muckraking group dedicated to truth and democracy. This is a group of propagandists who, under the cloak of journalism, carry out the art of deception on behalf of the American government and secret services. Indeed in the annual report, they even quote President Obama approving their work. In January this same group launched an attack on the government of China with another story of “leaked” financial documents implicating the Chinese leadership and have done it again in this new story, now doubt part of the “pivot to China.”
So there you have it, the information you need to know but which CNN, The Guardian, the BBC, CBC, the New York Times and all the rest of the media refuse to provide you so that you can properly assess the story they have propagated through the world media. The role of the western media is not to inform the public but, as Umberto Eco says, “to teach people how to think,” to manipulate opinion and action. Their suppression of that information is a lie and as that other great writer, Jose Saramago, wrote, they use “the lie as a weapon, the lie as the advance guard of tanks and cannons, the lie told over the ruins, over the corpses, over humanity’s wretched and perpetually frustrated hopes.” It is time for these people to be exposed for what they are and called to account for their deception of the people they claim to serve, for what greater crime can there be than to deceive the people?
Christopher Black is an international criminal lawyer based in Toronto, he is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and he is known for a number of high-profile cases involving human rights and war crimes, especially for the online magazine “New Eastern Outlook” (http://journal-neo.org/).

Intelligence agencies from several countries, including CIA intermediaries, have abundantly used the services of Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca to "conceal" their activities, German newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung (SZ) says, citing leaked documents.
Both "secret agents and their informants have used the company's services," wrote the newspaper, which earlier this month published online materials based on 11.5 million documents from the Panamanian law firm. It has been called the largest leak on corruption in journalistic history.
"Agents have set up shell companies to conceal their activities," the Munich-based newspaper (http://www.sueddeutsche.de/politik/panama-papers-agenten-nutzten-panama-firmen-fuer-cia-1.2945241) reported, adding that there are CIA mediators among them.
According to SZ, Mossack Fonseca's clients also included some of those involved in the so-called Iran-Contra affair, in which several Reagan administration officials secretly facilitated arms sales to Iran in the 1980s in order to secure the release of US hostages and fund Nicaragua's Contra rebels.
The Panama Papers also claim to reveal that some "former high-ranking officials of the intelligence services of Saudi Arabia, Colombia and Rwanda" are listed amongst the company's clients. Among them was Sheikh Kamal Adham, the former Saudi intelligence chief, who according to SZ, was "one of the CIA's key intermediaries in the 1970s" in the Middle East region.
The Panama leak claims to expose the offshore holdings of 12 current and former world leaders and provides data on the financial activities of 128 other politicians and public officials from different countries. Newspapers around the globe had plenty of world leaders to choose from, – from President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to King Salman of Saudi Arabia and the late father of British Prime Minister David Cameron.
With high-profile figures on the menu, the majority of the international media rushed to accuse Vladimir Putin of corruption, even though neither he nor any members of his family were mentioned in the Panama Papers leak.
Last week WikiLeaks tweeted that the US government and American hedge-fund billionaire George Soros allegedly funded the Papers to attack Putin. According to the international whistleblowing organization, the US government's funding of such an attack appeared to be a serious blow to its integrity.
One former CIA officer told RT that the fact that the Western media has been unanimously using the Russian leader as the “face” of the Panama Papers leak can be explained by one simple look at the organizations behind these news outlets.
“Everyone in corporate press is controlled by corporations that profit on wars and have an interest in creating tensions – all these people in the Western press, like the Guardian, are blackening Putin [for being] a designated villain here. Curiously, his name is not in these documents,” Ray McGovern said, adding that it was “a major mistake made by the leaker” to hand the documents over to the corporate media, instead of leaking them to trusted independent journalists.
There were many raised eyebrows particularly over little mention of the exposed offshore dealings of UK Prime Minister David Cameron's late father. Last week the British PM admitted that he benefited from shares in an offshore trust set up by his father. Cameron, who is facing outrage over revelations concerning his private finances, told ITV that he had received £300,000 (about $420,000) in inheritance from his father, who died in 2010. Yet he claimed that he didn’t know whether any of that money came from an offshore source. A massive protest gathered in front of PM David Cameron’s residence at 10 Downing Street on Sunday, calling for his resignation.

David Cameron does not participate in the UK economic system – but presumes to
tell the rest of us how it should be run. That isn’t right.
As a man who is constantly talking about having to “do what is right”, he has a choice:
Either he re-enters the tax system endured by all the rest of us – along with his
rich mates, business bosses, hedge fund managers and the firms they have taken
offshore, or…
He quits as UK prime minister, immediately.

Something odd has been happening here in UK since last year's general election.
It's as if the powers that be want a radical lefty in the job as soon as possible. At first I thought they just panicked after the election seeing such a huge wide open exposure to the left and wanted to use the Labour party to reclaim the territory at least well enough to split any oppositional voter clout, before something really alternative grew to fill the space.

In my mind everything possible will be done to destroy nationalism, to include not leaving the EU or any action like that... if that doesn't happen then either I'm wrong or "tptb" are not as firmly in control as I previously thought; context of the situation will be telling.

Contrary what may appear to be the case, the «Panama Papers» campaign will not lead to restraining embezzlements of funds, nor to expanding liberties, but the exact opposite. The system is going to consolidate a bit more around the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the United States and Israel, so that these and only these will control it. By violating the principle of equality before the Law and their professional ethics, the members of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists have put themselves at the service of the enemies of liberty and the defenders of Big Capital. The fact that they had pinned down in the process some crooks will not change anything. Explanations.

The Romer Doctrine: To compel non Anglo Saxon tax havens to stop functioning and to destabilize the European Union until capital flows back to tax havens in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the United States and Israel The Economic Strategy of the United States
At the beginning of his mandate, President Obama appointed the historian Christina Romer to chair his Committee of Economic Advisers. This Professor at Berkeley University is an expert on the 1929 crisis. According to her, it was neither Roosevelt’s New Deal nor the Second World War that permitted the US to come out of this recession; rather, an influx of European capital from 1936, escaping the «rise of dangers ».
This is the basis on which Barack Obama drove his economic policy. First, he took action to close all tax havens that were not under the control of Washington and London. Then, he organized the destabilization of Greece and Cyprus, so that European capital takes refuge in Anglo-Saxon tax havens.
It all began in Greece, in December 2008, with demonstrations after a policeman murdered a teenager. The CIA transported busloads of trouble-makers from Kosovo in order to disrupt a demonstration and to set up the beginning of chaos [1 (http://www.voltairenet.org/article191236.html#nb1)]. The Treasury Department could then confirm that Greek capital was leaving the country. The experience being conclusive, the White House decided to immerse this fragile State into a financial and economic crisis that challenged the very existence of the Euro Zone. As predicted, every time we wonder if Greece will be ultimately kicked out of the Eurozone or if the EuroZone will be wound up, some European Capital makes a [mad] dash for an available tax haven, invariably British, American and Dutch. In 2012, another operation was mounted against a Cypriot tax haven. All bank accounts above 100,000 euros were confiscated. It was the first and only occasion, in a capitalist economy, that one witnessed this type of nationalization [2 (http://www.voltairenet.org/article191236.html#nb2)].
During the last eight years, we have been present at a number of G8 and G20 meetings which have established all sorts of international rules, supposedly to avert tax evasion [3 (http://www.voltairenet.org/article191236.html#nb3)]. However, once everyone had adopted these rules, the United States - and to a lesser extent Israel, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom—dispensed with them.
Tax Havens
Each tax haven has its own legal regime - in general, absurd.
Currently, the major tax havens are the Independent State of the City of London (member of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland), the State of Delaware (member of the United States) and Israel. However for sure, other tax havens exist, notably British ones. For a start, there are the islands of Jersey and Guernsey (member of the Duchy of Normandy and as such placed under the authority of the Queen of England without being either a member of the United Kingdom or the European Union), Gibraltar (a Spanish territory whose landed property is English and which the United Kingdom occupies illegally); even Anguilla, the Bermudas, the Cayman Islands, Turks, the Virgin Islands or Montserrat. Some of them are also tied to Holland: Aruba, Curaçao or Sint Maarten.
A tax haven is a «free zone» rolled out to cover the entire country. However, in the collective imagination, a free zone is indispensable to the economy, whereas a «tax haven» is a calamity. However, the two are co-terminous. Of course, some businesses abuse free zones to avoid paying taxes and others abuse tax havens. However this is no reason to challenge the existence of these provisions that are vital to international trade.
In their war against non Anglo-Saxon tax havens, the United States has notably struck blows against Switzerland [4 (http://www.voltairenet.org/article191236.html#nb4)]. This country had developed tight banking secrecy allowing the small fry to conduct transactions unbeknown to the big players. By forcing Switzerland to abandon its banking secrecy, the United States has expanded its mass surveillance of economic transactions. In this way, they can easily deceive the competition and sabotage the action of the small fry.

For ten years, Forbes listed Fidel Castro as the world’s wealthiest Head of State. Today it is admitted that this was pure propaganda but Forbes has never apologized. The «Panama Papers»
It is in this context that Washington has provided Süddeutsche Zeitung 11 500 000 computer files hacked from the fourth law firm in the world instructed to establish offshore companies. As this intelligence gathering is a crime, the alleged «whistle-blowers» who carried it out, have remained anonymous. Although Washington has first carefully sifted out the files and excluded first, all those relating to US nationals or businesses and then probably those related to its close allies. The fact that some of its alleged allies that are in a tricky position with the Obama Administration feature in these documents, — a case being President Petro Porochenko - confirms to us that they have just been dropped by their powerful protector.
While Panama is a Spanish-speaking State and Süddeutsche Zeitung a German publication, the Spies have named the stolen files in English: «The Panama Papers ».
Incidentally, the architects of this carabistouille try to persuade us that all men that rebel against Washington would be robbers. For example, we remember the campaigns mounted against Fidel Castro, accusing him of being a drug trafficker and Forbes listing him among the world’s most wealthy [5 (http://www.voltairenet.org/article191236.html#nb5)]. After observing the difficult living conditions of the Castro Family in Cuba, I ask myself how can anyone mount such a lie. It would follow that the new secret magnates would be Vladimir Putin, Bachar el-Assad and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad —however their frugality is legendary.
This propaganda against political adversaries, is simply the tip of the iceberg. The important point is the future of the international financial system.
http://www.voltairenet.org/local/cache-vignettes/L400xH300/191130-3-10-f943e.jpg
Violation of Journalists’ Ethics
Süddeutsche Zeitung is part of an International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), an association that specializes not in investigative journalism as its name would lead us to think, but in denouncing financial crimes.
In republican societies, Justice must be the same for all. But the ICIJ, that has already published more than 15 million computer files since its establishment, has never harmed the interests of the United States. Therefore it certainly cannot claim that its actions are prompted out of concern for justice.
Furthermore, from the republican principles of our society flow obligations for journalists. These have been formalised in the Munich Charter in 1971 by all the professional trade unions in the Common Market, later extended to the rest of the world by the International Federation of Journalists.
I perfectly understand that this text imposes limits that on occasion are difficult to abide by. Indeed, some years ago I was among those that considered it useful to be able to occasionally violate it. But experience proves that by violating it, we open the door to other violations that boomerang against the citizens.
The journalists of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists have not posed the ethical question. They have accepted working on documents that have been stolen and sorted out, without the slightest opportunity to verify their authenticity.
The Munich Charter stipulates that journalists will only publish information whose origin is known; that they will not suppress essential information nor will they alter texts and documents; finally that they will not use dishonest methods to obtain information, photographs and documents. Fully aware of these three requirements, they have violated them and this should bar them from professional bodies and bring about the removal of the directors of the BBC, France-Télévisions, NRK, and why not Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (the radio of the CIA which is also itself a member of the Consortium of Journalists).
This is not the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists’ first case. It was this body which in 2013 had published 2.5 million computer files stolen from 120 000 offshore companies. Then, it is it that had revealed, in 2014, contracts signed between multinationals and Luxembourg in order to profit from a preferential tax regime. And it was the one that revealed, in 2015, the accounts of the British Bank HSBC in Switzerland.
We suspect that the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists is financed by a number of organizations linked to the CIA, such as the Ford Foundation and the George Soros Foundations. This latter example is the most interesting: members of the ICIJ do not take the view that Mr Soros’s money comes from the CIA, but from his financial speculations to the detriment of the people. This would render it more acceptable.
http://www.voltairenet.org/local/cache-vignettes/L400xH300/191130-4-9-cf8d9.jpg
The fundamental principle of republican societies: legitimacy requires Justice being applied equally to all (article 6 of the Declaration on Human Rights and Civil Rights of 1789). But, after its establishment, the ICIJ abstains from uncovering crimes committed by the US. Through this failure to act, it is contributing to growing injustices. No More Resistance without non Anglo-Saxon tax havens
That the Hezbollah holds companies and secret accounts in Panama and elsewhere comes as no surprise. In a recent article, I raised the issue of the Lebanese Résistance auto-financing without having to depend on Iranian subsidies. The complex financial montage to which it has surrendered will have to be completely reconstructed, to avoid Lebanon becoming once again the victim of its Israeli neighbours.
That President Ahmadinejad has established offshore companies to bypass the embargo of which his country was the victim and to sell oil is not only no crime but is completely to his credit.
That the Makhlouf family, cousins of President el-Assad, has used a financial montage to by-pass the illegal embargo by Western powers and to permit Syrians to eat during five years of aggressive war is also completely legitimate.
What will be the outcome of this vast outpouring? First the reputation of Panama is destroyed and it will take many years to resurrect. Then, petty criminals that have systematically abused the system will be prosecuted, while a number of honest traders will have to justify themselves at length before the courts. But contrary to appearances, those who breathe life into this campaign will ensure that nothing has changed. The system will thus remain in place, but from now on will have to function to the sole benefit of the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the United States and Israel. While believing that they are defending their liberties, those who will have participated in this campaign will have, in reality, reduced [them].

After reading that, I think I can answer TargeT's qustion by suggesting that there is a hefty bunch of actors behind the scenes who really DO want Britain out of the EU and to become something akin to Switzerland or Monaco etc.
Cameron is the figurehead for staying in. This action has had the effect of making him look bent and weak while planting the idea in the people's heads that Britain could be a cozy lttle haven nation.
Not sure they can get all that across to the sleepy masses in just under 4 weeks though.
One things for sure, IF the vote is for out, Cameron will be turfed out of office in days.

‘The Panama Papers have exposed the largest financial crime scandal of our lifetimes.
But what has been uncovered by the Panama Papers is much more dangerous than
simply greed and corruption.
For those of you who have been hiding under a rock, the Panama Papers are over 11
million documents leaked from Mossack Fonseca, one of the largest law firms in the
world specializing in offshore accounts and incorporation of shell companies. According
to these papers, some of which I reviewed personally as a legal collaborator with Fusion
Media, over 200,000 international shell companies were formed for over 14,000 clients.
Among these were over 140 politicians and their families and over a dozen political
leaders and celebrities, including soccer star Lionel Messi.
The common link among these individuals is that they used shell companies and offshore
accounts to shield their wealth from their home governments.’

Sunday's revelations form only a small part of a week of disclosures that will
expose the tax and financial affairs of some of the hundreds of people and
companies named in the data, some with strong UK connections. Many of the stories
focus on how politicians, multinationals, celebrities and high-net-worth individuals
use complex structures of trusts, foundations and shell companies to protect their
cash from tax officials or hide their dealings behind a veil of secrecy.

Does anyone here think/know if the timing of the release of the Paradise Papers may have anything to do or be linked with the very recent assasination of Daphne Caruana Galizia, the journalist who led the Panama Papers investigation? Or just a strange co-incidence?

Very good points connection.
I believe this is another attack in the financial shadow war.
We do not know who is the better side. I believe they are all evil (states and oligarchs), none is better.
A clue to identify who is the attacker, is by identifying who is missing from the list. And who is prominent.
Clergy and church?
Big shots from the security/secret services?
Science/Pharma research institutes?
Too big to fail banks?

A documentary investigating the flow of money from poor countries to wealthy ones. It would seem many of the stories involve original links from The Panama Papers.
Look out for Imran Khan (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?118295-Pakistan-Imran-Khan-targeted-ousted-arrested-and-now-released&highlight=Imran+Khan) from 44m 52s.

Behind Closed Doors: A film about corruption in high places and those who enable it. Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) are people who hold a public function and as a result present higher risks of being involved in bribery or corruption.
Offshore leaks have revealed repeatedly that PEPs use British finance and British offshore jurisdictions to launder their wealth, hide their wealth and re-invest that wealth back into the global financial system.
London is the place where they buy property, where they take legal action against their critics and where they live when they fall from grace. But what happens
when a developing country fights back and attempts to get Britain to return the money that it claims has been stolen?
