The below documentary is very shocking! It reveals just some of the truths behind the 'austerity' cuts happening in the UK! A must watch to see how companies will do anything to make money, even upon the misery of those who cannot defend themselves. Did you know that those who are either disabled or have chronic illness have a nickname in the ‘back to work agencies’, it is ‘LTB’ short for ‘lying, thieving basta*d’! They are not interested in the person in anyway; rather it is the tantalising bonus of £9,500.000 they will receive if they push this person into work!
IF anyone still believes the propaganda that Britain is full of scroungers and these austerity measures on the disabled and chronically ill people is somehow a good way of saving tax payers money – THINK AGAIN – it is a LUCRATIVE CORPORATION MONEY MAKING SCAM and far from creating any solutions – the facts are, it is giving more tax payers hard earned money to corrupt companies out to make profit!

This is a very important speech given in Parliament that I wish everyone would listen to.
Take note how few Conservative and Liberal MP’s were present – they are obviously not interested how many people are dying under this relentless bullying regime on the vulnerable, disabled and ill. The MP’s are sitting pretty, they got a pay rise, the rich received a healthy tax reduction and Maggie gets an impressive funeral while the Banksters swindle more money out of public funds.
You the reader might celebrate radiant health at present; have a good job and no financial concerns. May you always stay that way, you need too because if anything unforeseen does occur that affects your work capabilities, you will shockingly wake up to the fact that there is little help or care; you will be made to feel demoralised, worthless and a scrounger with a very grim future threatened by starvation, homelessness and a very short life expectancy as many are now discovering after a lifetime of hard work and paying their taxes.
What is happening to our vulnerable and disabled citizens in this country is appalling as this parliamentary speech points out. No-one really listened, more heinous policies have rolled out since this speech was made all in the name of ‘austerity’ with the death toll daily rising. New policies are about to roll out targeting the already strapped pensioners.
We supposedly live in a modern world, yet how many people died this winter due to not being able to heat their homes, perhaps such deaths is unimportant while utility companies make massive profits? How many people have committed suicide around the world because they took the quick route out rather than face a slow death of starvation and homelessness?
Cameron keeps saying everyone must work – but his policies are not creating more jobs, rather more companies are going bust and much needed public services slashed. Most people want to work, but there aren’t enough jobs for able people, let alone the disabled and terminally ill people. Many self employed people have been living off their retirement savings – the bubble is about to burst big time. Absolute poverty is hitting hundreds of thousands of people where bread and pasta is their main diet as food prices keep increasing and if this trend continues......well we only have to look at past history around the world of such consequences where the death tolls from starvation were horrendous. Is this the future we all dreamed of? Or are we in the midst of a worldwide NWO cull?

The unfair Bedroom Tax arrived this month hitting the vulnerable and poor once more. They are already suffering from massive benefit cuts, council tax rises, struggling with the ever increasing living, rent and high utility bills and whether to eat today or put the heating on. David Cameron and others are convinced those who are unemployed or on disability benefits are living the high life of luxury holidays etc and such scroungers need to be rooted out.
One concerned Member of Parliament decided to see what it was like to live on unemployment benefit for a week and being hit with the new bedroom tax. Each link is about 1 minute each as she logs her day and depressing unhealthy food intake – her experience was far from luxury. If Cameron deems this type of existence luxurious, I wonder what he calls his lifestyle and all the other MP’s who regularly dine out for dinner, own large houses and villas in the sun and yachts?
Although living just one week of being ‘on the bread line’ is very different for those existing like this daily with no future job prospects, I congratulate this MP for at least trying to see and experience what it is like.
In February 18th 2013 Helen Goodman Member of Parliament tries living on £18 a week - the food budget some of her constituents will be left with, following the Government's benefit changes in April.
The figure of £18 a week is based on a case study in Bishop Auckland of a women living on Employment Support Allowance. Her £66 a week rent is paid by Housing Benefit. In April, her benefit will go up to £71.70. Out of that she pays £10 a week for electricity and £6 a week for water rates. She uses coal for heating (like many in Bishop Auckland) and three bags of coal will cost her £19.50 a week. Her bus fare is £4 a week (she lives in a village with no shop) and her bedroom tax will be £9.24 a week. This leaves her with £22.96 per week.
Additional non-food costs would include:
Washing powder. £1
Toothpaste 15p
Toothbrush 10p
Sanitary / shaving products 40p
Washing up liquid 5p
Bin bags 10p
Bleach 40p
Cleaning products 50p
Deodorant 25p
Shampoo 40p
Foil/cling film 10p
Saving for shoes, clothing, household items £2
Subtotal: £5.25
Leaving a remaining budget of £17.71 for food.
NB: This leaves no money for TV licence (£3.25pw) or phone/broadband (£5pw)

This issue is a worldwide systematic assault on the disadvantaged people by most governments. We are not in a war on poverty as those in charge speak of, we are allowing the war against the poor disadvantaged to eradicate them. Wake up world! This must not stand.... IMHO

I myself have just gone through a Court Appeal, start to finish roughly 1 and 1/2 years of struggle and torment. I had to limp my way to face a judge and a hi level doctor. Both where people of integrate and compassion and judged in my favor. I and my wife have been deeply changed by this ordeal. I should be very angry but it is what I have come to expect of our so called leaders. It has had the good effect of opening my wifes eye's to the true way of the world of so called leaders. Ill not let them into my being, can't give them any space anymore so! Love

Britain is full of scroungers It is. They're cslled politicians.
‘LTB’ short for ‘lying, thieving basta*d’! and that's the perfect term for them !
Unfortunately most people in Britain couldn't give a twopenny f*ck, so long as they can sit in front of the telly every night and go out and get pissed every Friday. As you hinted at in post #2, they will get a hell of a shock when it's THEIR job that gets axed, or when THEY have an accident.
Just don't fall into the trap of thinking that any future labour government will improve matters. It won't.
I believe that politicians from around the world who make decisions on what constitutes a fair living wage should be forced to try it themselves. No, on second thoughts - they should be forced to accept that same amount as their wage.

The system in the US isn't much different.
I have been advised off the record by several kind counselors working for the Dept of Human Services NOT to try to get part time work because the whole program that makes it look like disabled people are allowed to earn a little extra money aside from their pitiful disability checks is actually a way to trick and force them off of disability, even if they are unable to work full time.
One reason why there are so many disabled people living on the streets.
I am turning 65 this year, and the rules change when you are 65 and disabled, so I am hoping I can start earning a little extra (if I can find work!) without it affecting my disability benefits.
Dealing with this bureaucracy and the medical system is like swimming in shark infested waters, but at least there IS a welfare system, which is more than many countries have.
With the millions and millions of homeless, starving unfortunates in the world, I can still count myself lucky to have a roof over my head and food on the table.
But the really painful truth, that there is enough for everyone to have their basic needs met if the wealth was fairly distributed, is becoming less easy to ignore, thank the Goddess, and someday soon it must become our collective goal to see that becomes the reality.

US homelessness & poverty at an alarming high
Published on 11 Sep 2012
Across the United States homelessness plagues the streets and shelters more than ever before.
In 2012 the census stated that 15% of all Americans are poor, meaning they earn around $21,765 for a family of four and this number has been growing in the past few years.
The economic collapse and housing crisis forced more people onto the streets and into shelters as they lost their jobs and homes.
However, other causes of homelessness in the United States are substance abuse, domestic violence, and mental illness.
According to the Network to End Domestic Violence, approximately 63% of homeless women have experienced domestic violence in their adult lives.
Many people who find themselves in impoverished situations with violence view homelessness as a way to escape the destructive situation.
Substance abuse is the single largest cause of homelessness in single adults. In particular, homeless people often face overwhelming barriers to attaining health care, including addictive disorder treatment services and recovery support.
Several organizations work to address the need for counseling of homeless individuals and incorporate it into their shelter programs.
The government's lack of affordable housing and health care, in addition to the limited scale of housing, education and job assistance programs have all contributed to the current housing crisis, homelessness, and impacted the citizens on the streets drastically.

i believe that people need to move back in with their families and help support each other. :) families shouldnt be split up when a person turns 18, a family now needs to stick together and help eachother. my heart goes out to all who is being victimized.

"a family now needs to stick together and help each other."
For 30 years I have observed ethnic groups in the United States "sticking together" while the others strive to "live the American dream", own their own house, etc. However, living with your parents and doubling up with friends on housing is increasing, at least from what I can observe in S. California.
The video in the OP is no longer available :( I just hope these disability cuts don't happen in the US.. Some people rely on it pretty heavily...
