A HUGE VICTORY: Israel lifts mandatory fluoridation

"Good news! Israel has declared an end to fluoridation by the end of 2013. No, it's not a hoax, even though the Health Minister's name is Yael German. See below.

I haven't posted to all those who are opposed to fluoridation since we haven't yet got the definitive list of anti-fluoridation activists but THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF THE END!


So, this follows on the cessation of fluoridation in several USA and Canadian Cities and more especially, although it has been largely ignored, by the cessation in two Carribbean Islands (Cucacao and Aruba). We also have an Irish town voting against fluoridation in the last few days.

BREAKING NEWS: Israel's Health Minister has just announced that Israel will be ENDING its mandatory fluoridation program at the end of the year. Health Minister Yael German signed new water regulations into law on Thursday that will give local governments the authority to end fluoridation for the first time since the mandate was created in 2002. Minister German has also appealed to Israel's High Court of Justice to look into the legality of mandatory fluoridation, in hopes that they will deem the practice illegal.

Coming on the heels of the lifting of mandatory fluoridation in Queensland, Australia this news will have a major impact on the efforts of citizens trying to end mandatory fluoridation in Ireland and the United States, where 13 states currently have mandatory fluoridation (including AR, CA, CT, DE, GA, IL, KY, LA, MN, NE, NV, OH, and SD).

NEW CAMPAIGN TOOL #2

The Fluoride Action Network is continuing our series of bulletins showcasing new campaign tools that can be used in the fight against fluoridation at all levels--local, state, and national. Our first new tool--released earlier this week--was our new "10 Facts about Fluoride" video and handout.

The second tool is a new 4 minute long video produced by Dr. Mercola and his staff. The video is a quick and easy introduction to the issue of water fluoridation and the arguments against the practice. While some portions of the video are specific to the current fluoridation fight in Portland, Oregon, most of the video is still relevant to any fluoridated community, or any community considering adding fluoride to the drinking water. Two things: The law will take effect only in a year from now and it will be the decision of any municipal leadership whether to continue or stop adding flouride to the water, so It is therefore still necessary to put pressure on the different municipalities which I intened to do where I live.

No doubt however that this is a wonderful advencment :becky:

I sense the awakening change in the wind and I am giddy about it.

I wish to remind all the battle on your (personally you the reader) is still raging.
One year is along time in politics, things change fast. And if the politician was decisive she could make it take effect immediately. Using her political power in the parliament (the delay was excused for parliament committee certification).

Therefore this was a delay maneuver. Yet the public is vocal and yesterday.
A civil class action was submitted against the Israeli water company (Mekorot), claiming 1.1 bilion USD.
This class action was put away from the MSM.
The claim is against the Water company for not knowing and failing to disclose what exactly they add to the water that includes the fluoride acid.
