I found videos on making survival candles for cooking and heating a small tent. The design in this video may last longer than just straight wax and wicks.

Using just candlewax and normal wicks works best i found out, the system in the above video produces a large flame and a lot of soot, not what you want in a tent, just a tin with some molten teacandles and their wicks in it will work just fine, a bit slower but fine, and no danger of setting yourself or your tent on fire, keeps your lungs cleaner as well, thanks for your reply.

Thank you for tips. I have not used one of these in a pinch yet, just liked the design when I saw it at youtube. Gave a couple away for Christmas presents last year *g

The eggs would cook twice as fast if you put a lid (or foil) over it. Much of the heat inside the pan is escaping out the top. A lid holds all that heat in, and makes food cook faster.Saves the candle power.
