Dear Fellow Avalonians
The power of music, being the international language, can be so beautiful, so full of emotion and can have the force to change your mood quite easily.
As we are living in a holographic experience, an experience it still is so we are here to enjoy the beauty of being. We cannot just meditate and wait for our time to end and expect things to happen as that would defeat the purpose. Although we understand and accept the realization that money is illusory and fiat, I will suggest to all of you to reconsider your next purchase to something that I will recommend, as long as we don't take material items seriously and can leave them behind without attachment.
Music can stir the soul, it can move the heart and it can make us feel so good. But, not if we listen to tinny sounding mp3 files through inferior headphones.
The digital generation is what it is, but it can never replace an analog playback system such as a record player.
A record has deep within it's grooves all the nuances, all the emotion that was intended during the recording and the way it is recorded is in a natural mechanical way. Mp3s on the other hand are heavily compressed and the sound is thin and lacking in body and life. I would go a bit further say that CDs a few steps better than mp3s but listening to music through an analog playback system is magical. The sound is so full, so wide and so realistic that you can actually FEEL the music.
My recommendation especially if looking to buy a stereo system is to look for a record player, a quality amplifier and quality speakers.
All can be found at garage sales (or yard sales depending on your geographic location) or second hand stores. You don't need to spend much to accomplish this, but some people, like when buying fine musical instruments do. Used music on LPs are cheaper than downloading mp3 files.
Even on older, used equipment, you will be amazed at the quality of sound that will emit from the grooves of a 40 year old LP record.
Now I'm not suggesting you go ahead and spend money, quite the contrary. I am recommending to you that if you are looking for entertainment purchases, consider what I have said. I am certain you will not look back in regret.
