A post for those of us who are at the begging with far more questions than answers, for those of us who are just finding the path and so tottering along on our First Steps:crutch:. First steps of the GOD-SELF-PATH of awareness and experiences.

(Mod's If this post already posted under some other name or should be posted somewhere else etc, please link up)(And sorry for all the Smilies, I seem to have been in Smilie Mode)

So any Avalonian master :neo:: answering a question, giving advice or giving a GOD-SELF-PATH life example here, please keep it as a simple step, a starter stepping stone..

My kick off starting observational GSP advice is:

Don't be disillusioned if something that came to you, while you where in the God-Self -Mode is bettered by some-one-else:doh:!
This dose not mean that your vision/version/idea/comment was flash!
Yours was just a stepping stone that guided you to a better reality:clap2:.
A better reality as pointed out by someone who is walking in-front of you along the God-Self path!
So Keep on with the good step, along the path :thumb:.

I have a question for the Masters.

How do you love yourself?

And how can you love yourself when you still haven't
realized or awakend or glimpsed or understood or or... who you are?

Hi 000 You don't have to know who you are to feel love or be loved. Nor do you have to know who you are to LOVE YOURSELF.
I've had to RE-LOVE myself a many times along my winding path and I believe it's starting to stick.
I am who I am. I do know I'm a good guy and so, worthy of LOVE. I love others and love so much of what I've seen in this life, this realm.
I always look to nature in wonderment and realize I'm part of this wondrous universe, this brings me love from inside and so I LOVE MYSELF :)
Hope that helps, Love and Hugs to you
OOO.
I hope to hear other Avalonian tips to your question OOO

Well, certainly no master here, but here's a certain something something been picked up along the way. After much head beating against the old brick wall that is. (LOL) There is a certain natural rhythm to things, to living, but we tend to fight it. Make this or that happen come hell or high water type stuff. We all do it to varying degrees, or we would have already left this game behind.

That rhythm is long forgotten, but it's always there patiently waiting to be rediscovered. It can not/will not be forced to happen, just as life can not/will not be forced to bend to our will. But... It loves to dance, and will join us just as easily as when we forget ourselves listening to a good song, and suddenly realize we are moving and singing along with it without even trying.

Everything flows from that, and the more we "dance", the more things flow.

I recommend some Bossa nova action, and tell me those toes don't start a tappin. :)

Decide what’s really important to you.
If you want to really know what you really are then dont go on a spiritual merry go round--dead end.
Read a book or listen to a DVD/cd by some one who is recognised to be enlightened.
Eckhart Tolle or Adyashanti would be good.

A wealth of videos etc to be found here for new or experienced spiritual seekers.

Thanks Chris. I peruse your Ego thread frequently and it
is filled with much wisdom.

However I really enjoy hearing personal raw reflections
of "ordinary" beings that are not too structured, intellectual,
and not ready made for the masses.
Everyones journey to self love counts not just the
Enlightened ones (and i mean no disrespect to them).

I AM no master but i have learned to love self, not in a self-ish way but because I love creation, I love the bigger picture including my brothers and sisters within universal civilizations and all humanity here on earth. When i realized i was part of this and everything is part of me, I was able to love myself as part of this beautiful creation. If you love creation then you can love yourself because you are creation.

triggered your beautiful realization.

That is a big question ooo. It would take a very long answer, I would not like to post such a long post in this thread.
In short, personal experiences along my journey of the soul. I share some of them at the beginning of this thread. http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?50646-Who-are-the-24-Elders-A-revelation

I have a question for the Masters.

How do you love yourself?

And how can you love yourself when you still haven't
realized or awakend or glimpsed or understood or or... who you are?

Can you love a child before it's born?

Put yourself on the list of people that you're willing to love. It's not more, or less complicated than that.
How did you get off the list in the first place?

If you need to work on that willingness a little, well then you do. Then you can work on expanding the list.

Lester Levenson said: ''Love, love, love and you will be so happy and healthy and prosperous.''

He also said something like; ''No matter what the problem is if we would just Love enough that problem would instantly resolve itself.''

Thanks for the reminder. =)

A post for those of us who are at the begging and have far more questions than answers, for those of us who are just finding the path and so tottering along on our First Steps. First steps of the GOD-SELF-PATH of awareness and experiences.

Calling me out Sunny-side-up?
I am terrible at expressing my self verbally and I get lost in the words.
So I'll try to be coherent.

This is one of my biggest struggles in life, self love.
I am waiting for that moment of grace when I see it and am able to hold it.
I see so much beauty around me and have so much love for this earth and all it holds.
I can easily feel compassion, forgiveness and love for others.
Yet, once I turn my eye inward I am confronted by self criticsm and self judgement.
I have managed to experience certain depths of love but there is a feeling of 'there is much more'.
I am aware of my ego (most of the time) and its just a matter of discipline and attention.
I have read so much on the subject yet its still not sinking in.

So I am on my path, a beginning, middle, end of somewhere. Diligently repeating my mantra:
I am who I am and I love who I am

I know that my Higher Self is having a jolly ole laugh at me right now, given that something
so simple eludes me.

Thank you everybody for sharing, you helped someone today.:yes4:

IMO what you wrote is an essential wisdom so don't sell yourself short.

You appear to have started the search in earnest. And you appear that you are capable of being honest with yourself. If my assumptions are true, then you are well on your way.

Here's a tip - don't get attached to a view and certainly don't get attached to any so called spiritual masters/teachers, etc. It seems clear you are already your own teacher. Good on ya.

All I am doing is patting you on the back. I wish more would do what you are doing.

All the Best - Chester

I understand what you are saying and I found it true for me. Loving yourself (or not) isn't a factor once you know who/what you are... There is no self for you to love at that point.

Good one, double O Zero

Yes justoneman great reply. Your reply was along the same lines as mine was to be.

Just keep on the good path OOO, you (Higher self) is waiting for you along your path somewhere.

It is there setting up the appropriate situation for you to settle into, this is the same for me. I've a low love for myself, always had a sort of whole there, I'm not bothered, I work round it trying to do and feel as much goodness as I can!

Thank you OOO for opening your self up to this post

~ something that helped me make a move forward once upon a time goes along with the first question raised here on loving yourself ...
settle into your favorite quiet spot with a mirror situated so that you may sit comfortable and look your self in the eye, then have a chat ... you're more today than you were a week ago, have a talk with that part of you from last week
perhaps have a chat with that part of you the paid-gurus insist is laughing when you fall down or can't grasp a concept fast enough ... "Quit flippin laughing and help me here!"
pull up a memory of when you felt all alone in a battle behind you, put your hand on your heart and imagine sending support back, a firm hand on your own shoulder
from the aspect of yourself that can sit quietly and thoughtfully wondering about your path you can become friend, big-brother or big-sister to the part of you in the skin suit asking WTF?

I would say
Keep it simple-- you dont need to go into chakras--- complicated meditation, breathing, meditation, workshops, yoga. These all have their place but will not get you on a straight path to Self/God.
Find a teacher who is enlightened that you relate to and stick with him/her for at least a year.
I found that Eckhart Tolle was right for me for quite a period of time, then the late Dr David Hawkins filled in the gaps. I now mainly listen to Ayashanti though go back to the others from time to time.
Hope this helps
Chris
