Hi all,
Yesterday I was talking to someone online regarding the UFO phenomenon, and as I was starting to mention Roswell, this person tells me "Karl Pflock already dismissed that theory, so it's obviously false, there was no crash there".
I must say I was stunned, firstly because of his belief solely based on another guys take on the subject, but mostly... I had never heard of this guy, Pflock :o
Could someone shed a light on this guy and his take on Roswell, just a quickie so that at least I can understand why this person believes in him so badly.
Many thanks,
Daniel

Karl Pflock, a long time researcher into UFOs died June 5, 2006 from complications of ALS.
Pflock came to a far different conclusion on Roswell than almost all other researchers. He believed that a series of balloons launched in conjunction with secret Project Mogul was the most feasible explanation. He also believed the Roswell witnesses were weak and could not provide enough detail.
Always good to have at least one researcher go against the mainstream as it provides more to look at, more to consider and makes whatever conclusion you reach that much more solid.
He authored..............Roswell, Inconvenient Facts and the Will to Believe.
I have often thought about those that truly believe (about most things) and those that just want to believe. There is a huge difference and it's worth thinking about.

There are legions of theory mongers, this is the central plank in the established UFO community for many; Phillip Corso and Edgar Mitchell are
the strongest bastions of the Roswell 'story'. Edgar Mitchell speaks of the 'old timers' revealing their actual witness testimony before they died
to him, he himself was a Rancher's son growing up in the actual Roswell area-you can't get more close to the source than that-and think how credible his own
perspective is-he would not be an easy man to pull the wool over, he might be a little 'romantic' in his spiritual feelings of oneness with the cosmos, but he is a hard headed
man of Science first and foremost-this is sufficient credence for me-I am O.K with going along with these guys until a really strong debunking body of evidence is presented-this counter-story is just that
another story.
