Paula has already posted this on another thread but I felt it deserved its own thread for those who don't visit Up at the Ranch......I see this is as a very disturbing development......we've seen many such as Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and it looks like perhaps Justin Bieber, taken down in the media.....I believe these entertainers try to go against their handlers and are ruined for it......this is just the beginning for Lauryn Hill......this could ruin her career and even cost her custody of her children......
More and more we are being trained to think 'conspiracy theory' means mental illness......I have to say I get the same feeling from some of my own friends....sad to say

Like many others in the music business, the ptw will have you sign on with "one of their accountant guys" who will spend your money like a drunk sailor, invest without your permission and put you in a poor house, by not submitting your taxes, and when the flags go off, they turn over the evidence and watch the star/talent like Fantasia, swim in debt or sing the way they want them to sing. It's the reason Michael Jackson, James Brown and Luther Van Ross had problems with their own lables and the "whacko jacko" media blitz. Just look at how they get them hooked on drugs at their after parties, and then send their demonic LAPD after them. They do the same thing here in Virginia. The Shockoe Bottom always offers first drinks free, ladies in free with a drink to lure them in, and then have the cops swarm them as they leave the parking lot.

Now the businesses are facing bankruptcy, because the harrassment on a low wage job's income in tickets, just ain't worth that drink. Nothing is free, if you're in court for tickets, and facing driving school as a manditory rule. Guess the house parties will have to suffice and the star's are finally getting the point. Oprah never hung out on the town and got pulled for drunk driving. She drinks at home where the cops have no reason to harrass.
Perhaps the lesson needs to be taught elsewhere around the country. The set ups/traps should be posted on FB and twitter.

that's it exactly.......she went underground a few years back because she feared for her safety and those she loved.....in order to protect herself she didn't file her taxes because then the people she was hiding from would find her.......she was trying to tell it like it is back and knew she wouldnt be safe.....so once she felt she had a protective network set up and came out to file her taxes (she had no intention of not paying as far as I recall)......and this just seems like the taxes are an excuse to shut her up.....but to actually say she needs counseling for her conspiracy theories!! what kind of a message are they sending out.....keep your mouth shut or you will lose your rights.......you could lose your job, your kids.......your freedom!!!

I observed quite a few years ago that the American Music Cartel are a corrupt lot.

One only had to notice that when Michael Jackson came out publicly and attacked/sued (http://www.michaeljackson.com/ca/node/761092) the record companies that were ripping him off, he suddenly found himself in a heap of problems with

I'm starting to wonder if these artist should continue to stick their necks out for people. Some of these entertainers/artist will gladly use their talent/gifts and platforms to spread inspiration and truth. It’s just unfortunate that many of their attempts are often unnoticed or supported by the people because the most of the people are too conditioned to enjoy wickedness. Reaching people through the entertainment biz is a very problematic endeavor, simply because the people don’t want to see or hear anything that promotes responsibility, equality, or peace. It's not so much the media promoting the negative it's more the people supporting the negative. This can easily change once the people change what they want. Don't pass the blame to no one else other than that person in the mirror.

Why?

The masses are trained to laugh at other peoples misfortunes (person trips and falls, person gets slapped in back of head, person gets insulted because of his/her uniqueness, etc…)

We want to see grown men in tights pretending to hate and beat each other up “WWE”, We want to see grown men/women in steel cages literally beating the crap out of each other “MMA”, We want to see movies where the bad guy does evil deeds until the “So called good guy” does something evil to the “bad guy” at the end of the movie, We want to our kids to watch cartoons that make them laugh at harmful and disrespectful acts. We want to sit in an audience and listen to a comic make fun of the misfortunes of self and others, we want to stand in an audience and listen to musicians sing/rap about disempowerment, the devil, and negativity. We want to complain about injustices while displaying injustices to other Earthly beings. We want to make the world a better place but don’t want to get our own hands dirty or nails broken.

The world is in a mess and some people convinced/tricked themselves into thinking its perfect. We want peace on Earth but are reluctant to be the examples that will bring about that peace. We are the only species that will see an obvious need but will rather seek excuses to not be a part of that need. We talk about our issues constantly but hardly do anything to remedy the situations due to deep-seated fears.

Whatever will happen to humanity in the past present and future will and always come at the hands of the human collective. The only species on the planet to neglect their abilities because they surrendered they responsibilities….and sense of humanity…while hardly showing any concerns or a sense of shame.

I don't know Lauryn Hill's story. All I know is she suddenly went out of the spotlights. I saw her in a YouTube video a while ago attending a black muslim preacher's sermon. Then she came back in the news because of this tax issue. And up pops Sony :confused: with an exclusive one-million dollar deal to help (?) Lauryn out.

Since Sony's no charity foundation and Lauryn Hill looks like she preferred to be a stay-at-home-mum, it seems like they're mocking her. She can't "get out". The deal's meant to get her back in and because of her financial position she hàs to accept, and she did...To no avail, :confused: she was sentenced anyway.
Now that's painful...May she find the courage to get through this.
