When the final curtain draws closed, and you're looking back at the story of your life this round produced, what is that story going to tell? Through it all, did you manage to grow young, or did you manage to grow cold?

I hope to grow sideways and perhaps a bit taller. ;)

I think I've done both. Maybe I'll meet me in the middle.
Great question. Perhaps I'll mention something that I experienced as growing younger, just this week. I read
http://www.amazon.com/Dying-Be-Me-Journey-ebook/dp/B006M7JCC2/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1368225407&sr=1-1&keywords=dying+to+be+me+by+anita+moorjani Dying To Be Me by Anita Moorjani. Her story inspired me so much...
when I got home I looked around my very modest home. Every corner seemed to glow and look artistic (well, at least "artsy"), instead of "cluttered" and "too small". I had more energy.
So I have to say her sharing of her story grew me younger.
As well, I felt new confidence in a project I'm in right now. Thanks Anita, and thanks Fred for raising the subject.
Whenever I feel I'm "really" growing old, I know I'm neglecting to pay mind to a truth or two that has inspired me thus far.

I don't know Fred. I hope to grow young and share that with the people in my life.

Growing old and cold, But I am realy looking forward to yelling the phrase "Get off of
my lawn"at children while soaking them with the hose! ;) Oh memories of earlier generations, such inspirations Eh!
(the inside joke in this is I am turning 40 and my wife wants at least 2 children, so more than likely I will be yelling it at my own Kids while playing ha! ;) )

well my bones are from someone twice my age.
My soul feels countless thousands of years old with far far more to come.
My mind is young (Right) and tired (Left) at the same time.
My heart feels like it hasn't reached nowhere near it's potential warmth.
But even then add it all up I'm Growing Younger, Warmer, the best is yet to come.

Ever know an older person who has been through and seen horrible things, yet somehow managed to make something beautiful out of it? You can see it in their eyes. The scars of pain, but also the warmth and wisdom created in transcending it.
At some point in their lives they were faced with a choice of which way to go, as we all are.

I went through what everyone else did. A corrupt and hidden system of "haves and have nots." Bottom rung stereotyped poverty, and a long climb out resisting temptation to retaliate/use revenge, giving it to Creator Source and Universal law, unless still veiled young age and fought back. I've rescued a few, and got rescued a few. Just waiting for the end of this visit, to move on to the next. To play by all the rules and find the game was rigged ia hard for some now experiencing it, but those who came up in a rigged system, lived/living through it, "some" wondered: "What took you so long, to give a damn about all around you? Was it self preservation of a "hidden supremacist" system, or has America grown up finally to stop being the "trout chasing the shiny, "Im better than/special/hate feels good bully" object, of distraction? Have they woke up to see not only their pockets picked for 35 yrs., but butt naked in debt enslavement, because the robbers didn't leave you enough to cover yourself? This is the age old question of many human lifetimes, on the emotional roller coaster of Care about others" on "sun 12 planet7" was/is a bumpy ride, but we bought the ticket/his-story sown karma for the thrills, buckle up.

I think I just grew into who I really already was. There were a lot of pressures to conform, to fit into a certain mold, a fulfill a certain function, ideal or desire (someone else's of course), as if someone was trying to clip and prune a tree to make it into a diminutive little bonsai for their garden.
Fortunately, humans beings can not be bonsaied. We can hop out of that pot, grow real deep roots in the earth and reach our branches towards the stars.

Those people learned to forgive, and moved past it. Forgiveness is a light that helps us to grow past the wrongs. For me forgiveness is is truly the thing that sets my soul free to grow past the wrongs of the past.
