[ Mod-edit: The first 11 posts on this thread began life on another thread: Clif High's Last Wujo (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?58940-Clif-High-s-Last-Wujo&p=672847&viewfull=1#post672847). These 11 posts were primarily focused on an Internet outage in Syria, May 7-8, 2013, so were moved over to this new thread which is focused on that outage. - Paul. ]

===

I have been following all of Clif's Wujo's in 2013. Gosh if you haven't listened to any of them, go check them out. Great stuff based on real data and predictive modeling. But, there is something great about his delivery of his results summary and his character. Analytic mind, insightful wisdom, quirky character, and interesting to listen to.

Earlier this week I listened to his most recent one on the global coastal event. And, if you have listened to any of his wujos on this topic, he points out the preceding and correlated events to it, which include the formation and growth of the "data holes" or gaps that begin forming in data over the web which begin to malign his data gathering spider programs. Apparently, these begin to pop up and grow preceding the "gce".

Now, I saw this story yesterday, and my heart sank a bit. Tell me this is not a huge data hole.

Syria 'cut off from the internet'
(Internet services have halted across Syria, in what appears to be the second shutdown in six months.)
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-22446041

As of today there are follow up stories that internet access is being restored there. But, an entire nation going dark on the net - that is a huge data hole.

Stay vigilant.

That is pretty interesting that close to 2/3 of the world population is not using the internet. I did not know this stat.

But, just to clarify, I am not suggesting that "their mindset, cognitions and psych-leak" does not count. I think that is a different topic, and I might think it certainly counts for shaping the future. I was mainly pointing out, from Clif's analysis, that his ability to gather data, from the internet, with whoever of the world is on it or not - that is where the holes develop. The holes are basically losses of data sources from what was part of the normal daily internet up to now.

Those people or data outside of the internet usage are not being judged either way. I am merely pointing out a loss of existing normal daily internet data that has appeared quite publicly in the news, and that it correlates to Clif's predictions.

But, an entire nation going dark on the net - that is a huge data hole.

Details of this latest 19 hour outage can be found here: http://labs.umbrella.com/2013/05/07/breaking-news-traffic-from-syria-disappears-from-internet/

If this were a major nation with extensive connectivity, then taking it off the Internet would be huge. For smaller nations with more limited connectivity, it seems that someone (some dastardly organization) is able to issue the Internet backbone router instructions to disconnect them. My thread Syria cut off from Internet (back up now, 2 day outage) (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?52597-Syria-cut-off-from-Internet--back-up-now-2-day-outage-) explains what happened on the previous Syrian Internet outage on Nov 29 through 30, 2012.

Ok, I am going to read and chew on this a bit. Paul, would not mind if you keep us apprised of any significant, perceived data holes forming with your information sources and awareness. I just grabbed something off mainstream media that caught my attention, which seemed significant, but glad for your trained eye. Maybe even a new data holes thread might be nice, if anyone wants to start one.

Thanks-

Thanks, Paul for the map. In regards to GCE, roughly 3 years ago the US held a military meeting with a group of nations in the East. I took notice because it included also Vietnam whose military relation was just kinda forming. I also noticed that most if not all the nations in that summit were on the South Pacific rims, including Argentina, Australia, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Brunei, New Zealand (and a few others?), also India, with the exception that Mongolia was invited and China was left out. I was actually telling my mom "are they preparing for a meteor hit in the South Pacific?"

Another data knot, did FEMA request a bunch (300,000?) of "under water" body bags not too long ago?

Thanks Paul for the map.
What would be equally interesting is a map showing weak to strong electricity grid areas.
Does anyone have.
So far I have not seen much evidence of effective back up for a grid failure caused by CME.

Hey brother,

Yeah...Besides, the whole thing is connected by a relatively small number of submarine fiber optics cables, that could be sabotaged.

Who knows, maybe they have already put some strategic placed remote detonation explosives along these cables, to use in case of an "emergency".

A few months ago, a few divers were arrested (http://siliconangle.com/blog/2013/03/28/egypt-arrests-divers-trying-to-sabotage-undersea-cables/) trying to sabotage one of these cables, in Egypt. According to the news, it they had succeeded, it would disconnect not only Egypt, but a bunch of other countries, since some cables really depend on each other to function.

Just a few months ago as well, a fire in Alexandria, Egypt, severed six of the submarine cables on the coast. There was a widespread Internet outage in several East African countries, including Kenya.

Of course, a strong enough global coastal event could really damage such cables as well.

Check out the cable map:

http://www.technocrates.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/submarine-cable-map.jpg

Well, let alone a possibility of a highly sophisticated virus being spread worldwide; I do not doubt for a second that there΄s a "shut down" virus, something as sophisticated as stuxnet or flame, designed to disrupt the internet, just waiting to be released somewhere.

The internet is more fragile than we think; In fact, our whole lifestyle is. The more we become dependent on technology, the more vulnerable we become.

I apologize Arc, that remark of mine was not directed towards you. I just wanted to point out the flaws of the webbot. It predicts the future based on 1/3 of earths population, mainly Asia, Europe and North America. What if the others that are not counted for would predict a total different scenario than the webbot?

For the record, I like to listen to Clif High and his predictions. I believe he has good intentions. In my opinion though, his webbot has many flaws, I just pointed out the major one. Still, it is interesting to hear what he has to say. But for me this is not science, it is a belief system based on faith.

We as a race have a strong tendency to often exclude people, without give it much of thought, it almost comes natural. Why is that? The cabal likes that mindset very much, maybe they "inserted" that behavior into our minds? The people that are excluded here are with high probablility the ones that are excluded in many other scenarios. It makes me sad.

Who will speak for them on internet?

So if we beliveve the predictions of the webbot which are based on mainly western/modern society, we will create it. I think it is time for us to include people instead, because I believe that we ALL together will make the change and create the world we all wishing for.

Mystery of Syria's internet blackout
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-22478467

http://www.aljazeera.com/news/middleeast/2013/05/2013581576471212.html

The blackout, which ended on Wednesday, was blamed by state media on a technical fault, but activists and a watchdog accused the regime of deliberating cutting the connection to shield military operations.
