What's the latest on ALS? (Lou Gherig's/Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) treatment/cures?
Definition:
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), sometimes called Lou Gehrig's disease, is a rapidly progressive, invariably fatal neurological disease that attacks the nerve cells (neurons) responsible for controlling voluntary musclesI have a friend, actually WE have a friend (you may not know him, but he is high integrity, full of compassion, and fighting for humanity, so, he's your friend too) that has become symptomatic with what may be ALS or possibly GBS (Guillain–Barré syndrome.) He is a single parent of a 14-yeaar old daughter, and has been told he could possibly die within 2 (progressively awful) years.
He is seriously considering moving to a State that allows medical marijuana, as there is anecdotal evidence that will help at least symptomatically. In some quick searching, I see metal detoxing mentioned anecdotally too. (Got a favorite way to do metal detox?)
I know there is some powerful evidence that has been presented here for everything from gut health to spiritual/metaphysical healing... and I am hoping that someone here has a really strong direction to offer some real hope for deadly neuro-degenerative disease. (I assume this is yet another auto-immune disease.)
Nerve tissue (from what I know) is very slow to grow back - if at all - so ARRESTING the progression immediately is extremely important. Don't hold back if you have any suggestions.
Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Hi Dennis, I will suggest. The Healing Codes - available on amazon paper/kindle too, and I mention it because one of the co-authors healed himself of ALS and he talks about it. Worth a read and I think will bring some significant hope into the situation.
The Emotion Code (which I mentioned on another thread earlier) is another clearing method, dealing with trapped emotions interfering with the body functions (including inherited emotions). Also on amazon, gives access to some charts. This is easy to learn and start applying right away, once you've read it.
If this is a direction to go in, I will mention the Trutester Digital muscle tester, for those who don't feel they can do effective muscle testing on themselves.
These are powerful tools. Also, re "allowing" oneself to heal - this lady is an inspiration, she was given 36 hrs to live and had an interesting experience...

Another approach is a water ozonator - I got a small one so I can take it around with me. Oxygenates the body and will break down heavy metals and candida and parasites into innocuous elements. There is some detox, but it's not too extreme for me, and I'm a wuss. Amazon again. "Flood Your Body with Oxygen" by Ed McCabe is good for info. Probably in the library, that's where I found it.
I wish your friend all the best. If he's up for this approach he has a chance.
Hi there,
ALS or Motor Neuron Disease as it is known here in Europe, is probably one of the most aggressive neuro-degenerative diseases known, simply because of its usual disease process of no nerve signaling to muscles, eventually rendering the body to a paralytic state until eventual mortality.
The research has shown that the Mitochondria in the motor-neuron cell, those cells that are responsible for carrying messages to move our body, from brain to arm ect, gradually die of for some unknown reason and do not regenerate. Mitochondria are the batteries of our cells, they power the energy for each individual cell, when these die, as in ALS, they do not turn back on or regenerate. So as a consequence of all this disease process, muscles in the affected individual become stagnant and undergo muscle break down, due to loss of mobility and weakness, hyportrophy.
Recently here in Europe there has been a drug trial for a promising new treatment for ALS, called Dexpramipexol, this drug was hoped to be used to slow the rapid progression of aggressive ALS, but as results have shown recently the drug has not proven successful in patients.

As for a natural approach I have not come across many cases of ALS being cured with natural therapies, I do believe there is few scattered on the internet. MS has been shown to be successfuly cured, or symptom free, in those who chose the raw food living approach, I personally believe this is very successful for nearly any ailment. I have attached a link to a video of a women named Dr.Terry Whals who developed MS and successfully treated her condition with what she calls "minding her mitochondria" diet, it makes excellent sense.
(ALS and MS share the same disease characteristics and both are disease of the central nervous systhem)

I do hope some of this information is enlightening and that your friend heals well.

Ultra Liquid Zeolite could be something to look into Dennis, it cleared my brain up pretty good ( fog gone, better memory retention, more flexibility) I am sure there are other and or better brands but that is what helped me out quite a bit, chlorella is also a great heavy metal detoxer, has he got mercury fillings?

Hi Dennis,
Sam Chachoua has developed a serum that he claims can reverse AIDS, MS and cancer. AND it can halt ALS, but does not repair the damage already done.
I know this sounds incredible. But for some reason Sam Chachoua sticks in the back of my head. I first heard of him many years ago when I worked as a freelance journalist. I thought I would write an article on him, but never did. He seems to have had a rough time for some years, but is back now. Two recent videos are available on Youtube showing the results of his serum called Induced Remission Therapy on cancer and MS.
Here is a clip from NBC News: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFSkJhCcpBY
Sam Chachoua won a law suit against Cedars Sinai in the year 2000 when they "lost" his serum after they found it had "profound effects".
Here is a pretty recent thread discussing him; http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message1733061/pg1
Here is the video with the lady suffering from MS:

Here is info on Sam Chachoua and how to contact him: http://www.mnwelldir.org/docs/cancer1/sam.htm
If someone I loved was diagnosed with ALS, I would most certainly try this.

From: http://www.alscenter.org/news/newsletter/2012/April/untangling_web.html Johns Hopkins ALS research newsletter.
"Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
Their latest investigation, published earlier this month, looked at the use of coconut oil in ALS and other neurodegenerative diseases. After a patient told them of an online video that suggested coconut oil might be beneficial for ALS patients, Bedlack and colleagues dove into the available clinical studies. Although they didn't find anything specifically on the use of coconut oil to treat ALS, they did find some related studies that provided clues. Both ketogenic and high-fat diets slowed disease progression in ALS-prone mice in two small studies. The researchers also found anecdotal reports online that weren't published in research journals that indicated some potential small, positive effects.
Researchers have known, for example, that higher cholesterol levels and body mass indices seem to be protective against ALS. As well, the disease itself seems to cause weight loss. Coconut oil, being high-fat and high-calorie, could be beneficial by providing extra energy, as well as increasing cholesterol levels and body weight. “So, coconut oil as a treatment for ALS may not be as strange as it sounds,” says Bedlack.
Ultimately, Bedlack said, coconut oil is relatively inexpensive and fairly free from side effects. The most common side effect Bedlack and colleagues found was diarrhea. Considering that most ALS patients struggle with constipation, this may be a somewhat welcome side effect, Bedlack said."

Lost my mom to it also at the age of 56 in 1993. There seemed to be a possible genetic connection in her case as I believe 4 other members, cousins mostly, also died from it. They all were from/lived in the same general area in California for a time. She tried a lot of things but passed away almost exactly 2 years after her diagnosis. I believe there is a cause/cure for everything, but most likely not to be found in mainstream medicine.

My dentist had ALS..he took out his mercury and detoxified his body and now runs marathons when he was very close to dying before..he is great now.
I had a personal situation where my nerves in my throat area where getting attacked by something..had suffocation and breathing problems for a year similar to Guillain–Barré.
I had ten thousand dollars of blood tests..found out i had chemtrail pathogens including military created mono virus (yes, my doctor could tell from the lab report that it was spliced and man-made and not natural). And also nanotechnology from chemtrails with lots of plastics in my body. I had to do a full body detox.
I take egg lecithin (non gmo) to protect my nerves and used the MPS far infrared rainbow (slept under it nightly)..it kills the viruses and pathogens that attack the nerves and heals that area. This machine is what kept me alive...i recommend it.
I also started juicing raw veggies. Green smoothies daily will help.
What can also be attacking his nerves are viruses...fungi...i take elderberry and olive leaf daily for that.
Essential oils are also really powerful. I take clove oil, lavender and sometimes Thieves oil by Young living. I put a drop or two in empty gel capsules and take internal and rub on bottom of feet. Breath them in.
If he wants to find out what 's wrong with him. I recommend Dr. Hildegarde Staninger's at home lab test. You wear a foot pad while you sleep and send this pad back to her clinic. I think it's around three hundred dollars. The laboratory tests the pad and finds out which pathogens and toxins are in the body (viruses, metals...nanotechnology etc. , chemicals..etc. ) .. She then formulates a detox program. She has found that this test gives same results as the expensive blood tests. her website is staningerreport.com . She is who saved my life when i had nerve problems from chemtrail poisons. She figured it out and detoxified me enough were I was almost dead, but she brought me back to life. She is definitely the "life extender".

There is currently an ongoing community-based international Pilot Project (http://ayahuascatreatment.wordpress.com/2014/09/22/natural-als-treatment-pilot-project/) involving people diagnosed with ALS, and the use and evaluation of Ayahuasca natural medicine (http://ayahuascatreatment.wordpress.com/2014/09/01/ayahuasca-ethnobotanical-medicine-for-treatment-of-als/), the gathering of results being processed at this point.
