View Full Version : Army Moves Crashed UFO (P.S. -- Debunked in Post #7)

Does anyone know what this is?
The U.S. Military remove a crashed UFO from a forest. The damage to the forest is very clear, as is the UFO and the men in hazard suits monitoring the seen.
The craft sits in a crater, with clear damage to the surrounding area, with a non-military marked helicopter taking the unknown craft away.

real or fake...

Well, in my opinion, the footage is not fake, meaning that it´s probably not CGI. The resolution is pretty bad, so it´s hard to judge, though.

However, without more details such as location and time of the incident, it could very well be a clip from a sci-fi movie or something like that.

Those silver hazmat suits don´t look like real life ones, at least the current ones; Silver hazmats were used in the past, though.

Anyway, this one is hard to judge; Either it´s real or it´s part of a sci-fi movie.

I wonder if someone was making a movie ...and this was part of the production.

The footage looks absolutely real to me. I am only curious why "IF IT IS AN ARMY RECOVERY" we would use a commercial heavy lift Helicopter and not a CHINOOK. These Chopper companies are known for doing "Teaser" video's to sell their craft. Usually showing their Choppers in the video's quite a bit... hmmm?

The question of what terrain this area looks like could tell us US or Canadian Army (Both have Military Heavy lift Choppers)... so, is this a "Movie" related clip? Or other explanation's?

Occasionally, Columbia's workhorse fleet has been called on to take part in more glamorous pursuits than hauling logs or moving drilling rigs across steaming jungles. Look for our helicopters in:

* The Day The Earth Stood Still (2008)

* X-Men 2: X2 (2003)

* Jurassic Park: The Lost World (1997)

* Demolition Man (1993)

* Under Siege (1992)

* Runaway Train (1985)

* King Kong Lives (1986)

* Starman (1984)

* More American Graffiti (1979)

Columbia's aircraft have appeared on the small screen as well. The company's helicopters have been featured on Discovery Channel Canada's "Heli-Loggers", The History Channel's "Tougher In Alaska", The Learning Channel's "Monster Machines", local and national news broadcasts in the United States, and on various programs around the world.

US GOVERNMENT SUPPORT-

In 1985, CHI won a competitive contract with the Department of States’ USAID. The project called for helicopters to provide famine relief operations in Sudan. CHI rapidly deployed three 107’s via USAF C-5 to Khartoum where the aircraft were re-assembled and flown to Nyala in Darfur Province. During 100 days of operations, the aircraft flew over 2600 hours and delivered over 8 million pounds of food and medical supplied to the people of that region. The entire company took justifiable pride in this massive effort to provide humanitarian relief to the famine stricken people of Sudan.

During the first decade of this century, the logging industry began to experience severe downward economic pressures. The financial difficulties of 2008 and 2009 also led to negative effects on the housing industry and thus log prices. CHI senior management determined that a strategic re-assignment of the fleet was necessary. In 2009, a major decision was taken to remove one 234 and four 107’s from the logging fleet. Those aircraft would be re-configured to Part 135 passenger carrying standards and applied to a wholly new line of business, support of the US military operations in Afghanistan. At huge expense and significant risk, these five aircraft were removed from service, re-configured and re-conformed and then bid on US Transportation Command solicitations. A monumental effort by virtually every department here at Aurora was able to successfully produce aircraft on time and procure the contracts. Beginning in July 2011, CHI field managers and crews have distinguished themselves in providing safe, professional helicopter services to US and NATO forces in Afghanistan at an operating tempo that far exceeds the customers' expectations. Missions are non-tactical in nature and include personnel transport, mail and both internal and external cargo loads. The US military has become so pleased by CHI pilot expertise with DVOC that they have dubbed it L2P2, long line precision placement. CHI expects to support the U.S. Military, the United Nations, and other governments and for this to be an ongoing part of their business by distinguishing ourselves as the world leader in “nation building.”

The video isn't clear enough to make any conclusions what so ever. To say it is a UFO, it would be a wild guess.

I wonder what that white thing in the hole with it is. It goes right over top of it and it doesn't move... I'd be moving or running like hell :)

Does it look like it's actually on the ground (the white thing) or is it just me? (look at the shadow)

Hey folks,

Some people are saying this is from the movie Starman, from 1984.

I´m downloading it to verify and will get back to you once I watch the movie, which looks pretty cool by the way.

According to this (http://www.fast-rewind.com/locations_starman.htm), the crash scene was filmed at Prentice Cooper state forest and wildlife management area, located between Chattanooga and Powell´s crossroads, Tennessee.

ADD:

Sorry to burst your bubble guys, but this is indeed from the movie Starman.

Click on this link (http://www.sockshare.com/file/37F2698CCF278AB3#), then click on "continue as free user" and watch the movie online; At about 26:00, they show the exact same UFO being lifted by the exact same helicopter, including the footage of the folks in silver hazmat suits and that pill shaped white tank.

Screenshots from the movie:

Thanks mate,

This is a perfect candidate for moving to the forum´s "debunked" section, which someone suggested the mods to create.

Raf.

PS: I just posted my debunking on the original video´s youtube comment section.

A lot of people do that when they are able to debunk a fake UFO video, so always check the comments before buying into youtube´s UFO videos. Most of the time they are fake and you can find the proof at the comments section.

hidden messages in movies, the word columbia , hence the name of the movie studio that needs advertising while the masses watch ... thats why the helicopter is white with red( a power color) , real miititary operations use dull unmarked choppers and planes ... they could then deny any involvement if asked by media ...

I just added a qualifier "(P.S. -- Debunked in Post #7)" to the thread title.

Our forum software, vBulletin, makes it a pain in the backside to add or rearrange the list of sub-forum sections available, so we Admins (Ilie and myself), who are the only ones who can edit that list, tend to drag our feet on any such proposed changes :).

(Well ... more than "tend to" ... more like totally ;).)

What I dont understand is there is loads of legit UFO videos out there that never get shown on this sight, all I ever see is obviously fake ones the majority of the time and as usual the fake ones get the most attention. Very odd IMO.

Always loads to talk about when there fake, nothing to say about the real ones.

Example of legit UFO (Unidentified Flying object)

Thank you Dennis,
Some types of knowledge comes at great and painful expense and is best left alone.

If I could undo certain decisions and give back those experiences I would gladly do so and trade that knowledge for a little more comfort.

FYI/I am humbled DAILY by the minds and knowledge here @ AVALON! IT'S WHAT KEEPS ME COMING BACK! What a round table dinner discussion we could all have...[/B]

This brings to mind a real incident from way back -- I think it was from the late 40s or early 50s. I am given to understand that it's true. It's one of my very favorite UFO stories.

There was a disk clearly in trouble -- wobbling around and moving very slowly -- sighted near Brownsville, Texas. The USAF had time to scramble jets, but by that time it had come down 10 miles over the border in Mexico.

They approached it by helicopter, and lowered an airman down to the disk who quickly painted a USAF roundel on it -- so that if the Mexicans arrived, the Americans could say it was one of theirs.

They then got a big Cat tractor and dragged it ten miles back across the border. (The Mexicans never did turn up to investigate.) They later went back to obscure and cover up the heavy drag trail -- but apparently, if you know where to look, the faint gouge-tracks are still identifiable on aerial photos.

The idea of an airman painting the USAF insignia on the crashed disk is just perfect. It was surely a very smart, quick-thinking senior officer who gave the order. :)

Hahahaha! Unfortunately, not.

However, it turned out to be one of the best sci-fi movies I´ve ever seen; No kidding.

Jeff Bridges performance is truly impressive in the flick.

Just goes to show - never go off in a helicopter to investigate an alleged UFO without some pots of red, white and blue paint handy.
