Seen something yesterday

My family and I were invited to spend the afternoon down at the Susquehanna River to leisure on an island, which we gladly agreed.
The trip involved a tour through a county which is far less developed, more farmland than anything. Once we made the turn off towards Indian Steps we traveled through winding roads at which point my partner noticed an object in the sky. Eventually I targeted the same object she spotted. Cylindrical in shape gleaming from the sunlight, but didn't seem to be glowing or if it were, not to the extent to which is attributed to night craft (UFO's). I tried in earnest to discern wings, but couldn't. It seemed to hover in
in the same area as we passed along the winding road.
It was difficult to keep a steady lock on it as we were zig zagging until found a longer stretch of straight road. At this point it had begun to move very quickly, faster than what any air craft would seem capable.
I guess the best part of the story is that my partner was the one who first witnessed it, she was pretty skeptical of the ideas expressed about UFO's.
We aren't sure what we had seen, only that it wasn't anything like a conventional airship.

No prior feelings to which I can attribute to any outside influence...we were all in good spirits anxious to meet family at the boating dock. Both my sons are still young, I tend to use car time to talk of proper thinking, conduct, or joking around, enjoying music.
The area in which this occurred is very close to Peach Bottom, a nuclear power plant. Can't say if there is a connection to that or not.

This may sound daft, but 2 days prior to this day light sighting, I was on my back porch and noticed a light in the sky in northern direction. It happened very quickly,... my noticing the light and what occurred next. It dimmed to a small point of light then extinguished from sight. There was light, sporadic cloud cover, but nothing that could quickly envelop this light I seen. This happened in a matter of no more than 5-8 seconds, enough time to really get a look but short enough that I had to question if I had really seen something.

Neither of these were prolonged, the second seemed to hover in the sky for maybe a minute or two before it was seen much much farther away. I cannot explain either of these events, and find myself bemused by the whole experience. I've had some internal dialog prior which may or may not have had some influence, judging by some events discussed by others. I am trying to remain objective and not to embellish or create any false memories, to be as truthful to the event as possible. FWIW.

I would recommend reporting this to MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) and encourage you to do this to the local chapter, not to head quarters. Assuming you were on the Pennsylvania part of the Susquehanna, this would be:

Is there any reason to report this to some authority (It didn't really occur to report it)? I'm not being flip or disrespectful by any means, I know my posts aren't very embellished and may come across as terse at times. I guess there might be some fear involved in reporting it, (ridicule, gov't etc.) It's probably why I should, I think I will. BTW, yes it was the central PA part of the Susquehanna.

Nah, they just call to confirm what you typed, and then add it to the record. You'll be in the UFO sighting history for 2013 May.

I did mine a year ago from my 1982 sighting. They will go and see if they can talk to other witnesses. My brother who is a paranoid occasional crack addict got "spooked" when they asked him as a family member if, "I've been off the chain/exaggerate, and he said: "NO! she's always been right in her mind and if she said she saw it, she saw it. Mind you my bro is a 6'7 inch 275 lb lean muscular giant. But that's all they asked

But other than that, they leave you alone after talking on the phone about the incident. They like to get the information for the record when they go against government for disclosure, you'll be one of the numbers for this month and year.

I saw one similar moving towards London Ontario in February, it moved fairly quickly, I could not make out any wings as it slowed to a hover, was solid white, not glowing white almost a flat version of airplane white, what made it unique to me was the array it had on the top of it, not something I have seen before in pictures of any of the cigar/tubular crafts, to me it looked like testing equipment made up of several smaller white spheres attached to the top of the craft. I would have disregarded it as a plane if I had not seen the array attached to the top.. I am assuming it was a very large craft because I could make out the array and I was a good distance away from it. I've looked but have found no other reports about it around this area. It was gone in a split second..

I got the feeling of... this isn't the right place keep looking, although I am not sure if it was me thinking that at them...

Hmm! maybe that was the key: Music, your young sons and the energy/vibrations you had in anticipation to meeting more family :)

And I personaly make note to myself where and when but only tell other people the details not the position and timing now.

Having said that if all sightings, espacialy from a wave or flap are loged and map ploted some very, very intresting knowladge can be found, and thats from personaly studies
so!
It's up to you if you report, keep personal or casual
