Chair of judiciary Committee Bob Goodlatte goes for the Jugular

Today Chair of the Judiciary Committee went for the Jugular. He stated in no other terms that the special FBI investigator Reyes provided a fraudulent statement in his sworn affidavit to the judge. Reyes claimed that reporter James Rosen is a flight risk, that he is an aider and abettor, co-conspirator. Holder signed this. 2 judges refuses to give a warrant without Rosen notification, but Judge Lamberth did.

It is my understanding that Judiciary committee will seek impeachment of Holder and a special prosecutor to investigate actions of Attorney General Holder special agent Reyes.

I do not know whether they will go after Judge Lamberth, but I know that not only he signed this warrant without notification of Rosen, for 18 months later on this warrant was not placed on PACER public records, even after it was declassified.

Lamberth issued and apology and blamed the clerks and said this will not happen again and we will have transparency.

As you can see, this came from Orly Taitz website but she
didn't post her source link. I can't say if this is true or not.

I tried to find a source online but i couldn't find one.

I believe this is about the Eric Holder IRS scandal, currently
going on.

I'm sure this is very important and I should already know all about it but what the heck are you talking about?

Could you put a bit more background info so that I can tell what this thread refers to. I'm not very good with names but I usually know what's going on in current affairs. This one has me stumped...

I was stumped to because there was no source link
for this info and Eric Holder has been in so many scandals
that i don't know which one congress is going after him for.

Here is another scandal that he is involved in current. It's
something to do with a fox news reporter.

----------------------------------------------------

Holder named Fox News reporter James Rosen as a co-conspirator in espionage in a warrant in order to get around statutory requirements on notifying media organizations about records seizures, and then further argued that the two-decade-long Washington correspondent was a flight risk. Three years later, he told Congress under oath that he’d never heard of any “potential prosecution” of reporters under the Espionage Act of 1917, and certainly had never been involved in any discussions of it. If that’s not perjury (and it likely is), it’s clearly dishonest at the very least, hardly commendable for the nation’s top law enforcement officer in his duty to remain accountable to Congress. In fact, to quote Holder himself, it’s downright shameful.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I guess fox news is fighting this an now congress got involved and holder
is current being forced to answer questions about what he had to do with
fox new reporter.

I'll try to find some better information later. My computer is going
squirrely on me right now. I may have to shut down.

GOODLATTE TO HOLDER: SEARCH WARRANTS FOR FOX NEWS EMAILS AT ODDS WITH SWORN TESTIMONY

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Bob Goodlatte, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, sent the following letter today to Attorney General Eric Holder regarding the discrepancy between his sworn testimony before the House Judiciary Committee earlier this month and the Department of Justice’s decision to obtain a search warrant for the emails of James Rosen, the chief Washington correspondent for Fox News. To read the signed letter, click here.

The text of the letter is below:

“Dear Attorney General Holder:

“We are writing to you with great concern regarding your recent testimony before the House Judiciary Committee. In response to a question from Congressman Hank Johnson regarding the use of the Espionage Act to prosecute members of the media for publishing classified material, you stated, under oath, the following: “You got a long way to go to try to prosecute people, the press, for the publication of that material. Those prosecutions have not fared well in American history.” In addition, during the colloquy with Mr. Johnson, you stated: “Well, I would say this. With regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material, that is not something that I have ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be a wise policy.”

“In the days following your sworn testimony, media reports circulated revealing that in May, 2010, the Justice Department had sought and obtained a search warrant for emails belonging to Mr. James Rosen, the chief Washington correspondent for FOX News. The search warrant was issued in the investigation of the publication of an article by Mr. Rosen in June, 2009, that allegedly contained classified material. The New Yorker magazine obtained a copy of the forty-four page search warrant affidavit, which alleged that the source of the material was Stephen Jin-Woo Kim, a Lawrence Liverpool National Laboratory employee detailed to the State Department. In the affidavit in support of the search warrant, FBI Agent Reginald B. Reyes, stated, “…there is probable cause to believe that the Reporter [Rosen] has committed a violation” of 18 USC §793(d) [the Espionage Act] “at the very least, either as an aider, abettor and/or co-conspirator of Mr. Kim.”

Thanks for finding that info and links, spiritguide.

Holder is in involved with at least three different scandals
and i wasn't sure which one, congress was going after him
for.

Obama and holder are losing a lot of browny points because of it.
