The website from the link below gave me serious food for thought. We produce in our family our own colloidal silver at home and we use it whenever someone has a sore throat, running nose, eye infections, etc. We may have to curtail its use.....

Our report details the growing threat to public health posed by extreme germ killer nano silver, and exposing the huge number of consumer applications in which it is found. Silver has long been known as a potent antibacterial agent. However its use has exploded in recent years, not only in medical applications, but in a huge number of consumer products, including children's toys, babies' bottles, cosmetics, textiles, cleaning agents, chopping boards, refrigerators and dishwashers, available in Australian shops.

Much of the silver used is in the form of nano silver, a tiny and especially potent form. Early studies suggest that not only could nano silver pose serious new health and environmental risks, its reckless widespread use could promote antibacterial resistance, undermining its efficacy in a medical context.

Over-use of this extreme germ killer poses a serious public health risk. It is unnecessary to coat cups, bowls and cutting boards, cosmetics, personal care products, children's toys and infant products in nano silver for 'hygienic' reasons. Indiscriminate use of biocidal silver in huge numbers of products is not only unnecessary, but may pose toxic risks. It could also promote dangerous anti-bacterial resistance to silver.

One of the main reasons nano silver is now used in wound dressings is because of the growing bacterial resistance to antibiotics. Already up to 110,000 deaths per year in the European Union can be attributed to bacterial infections. Widespread use of nano silver in consumer products could render it ineffective in a medical context.

Nano silver could also interfere with beneficial bacteria in waste water and sewage treatment. When water is increasingly becoming precious, especially in Australia, the release of biocidal silver from clothing, cosmetics and dishwashers into waste streams raises further concerns. Toxic nano silver may also contaminate waste intended for re-use.

Friends of the Earth calls for a immediate moratorium on the commercial release of products that contain manufactured nano silver until nanotechnology-specific regulation is introduced to protect the public, workers and the environment from their risks, until all products are labelled, and until the public is involved in decision making.

IMHO the only threat that nano silver has to anything or anyone is to the bank accounts of the big pharma's!
Once word eventually catches on that a few sprays of cheaply made collodial silver is more potent and successful at healing than a course of antibiotics, there can only be one looser?

Your opinion came first to my mind as well. But, if you read carefully, they are discussing also about healthy micro-organisms getting wiped out together with the bad ones. Could this be true?
I guess exercising care when using anything is the key to good health.
I really appreciate your opinions and concerns. And by the way, I never worried about becoming "Blue man"-alike as Big Pharma have been scaring us all along. I have a pretty safe colloidal silver generator.

an actual explanation as to how it works in this way-is it some form of metabolic poison for Bacteria, or what?

I agree with the article a tiny bit... just as anti-bacterial soaps are unnecessary and overzealous and may lead to antibiotic resistant bacteria*, we should use colloidal silver wisely. Wood cutting boards are already safe (naturally antibacterial), especially if you have a separate board for meats. Kids toys, etc being coated/embedded with colloidal silver is a bad idea - we gain resistance by eating a bit of dirt, playing with dogs, gardening, etc.

Here the article fires three alarms in my head:

Our household has a resident physician (my wife is an MD - family practitioner), and yet soap and our three most widely used products in our household for infection are (in order of how frequently we use them):


soap and warm water (exterior)
Giving Ground Boreal Forest Triple Antibiotic Ointment (exterior)
oil of oregano gel-capsules (interior and exterior)
colloidal silver spray (interior, so far)

The colloidal silver spray is the newest in the arsenal, and probably could be used in place of the ointment in some cases, but so far we've just used it for throat infections. Somewhere in our house I'm sure I could dig up a tube of the commercial/Big Pharma ointments - but we never use them.

If there is any hint that these bastards may indeed succeed in making colloidal silver products unobtainable, it will be wise to have a few .999 fine silver coins, and the simple apparatus to make our own.

Perhaps at this time, these people are showing they re the ones who scientifically sterilized, and destroyed their immunities to this earth, from the future. I've been wondering who could be so stupid as to strip humanity down to nothing, other than those in the future, who did it, and are in 3d re-incarnated to reverse it, but under the darkside, have forgotten why they are here? I've thought about this just over the past 3 weeks. The cost of having an allergy to live bacteria and virulent strains of virus, in the pharmaceutical company, must be, or is their game plan. I don't know the duration for the dose to remain in the body, and if it remains, are you to keep track of the amount annually, by the dose administered?:confused:

Sorry Dennis he lost me at 37 seconds, by getting it completely backwards, according to my understanding, in general aerobic bacteria are the healthy bacteria and anaerobic bacteria are correlated with cancer etc. Which makes sense even from a "common sense" point of view.... ie. people who exercise (breathe more deeply) are actually killing off bacteria, whereas those who are sedentary tend to have more illness. Also the process itself, if they are not using oxygen they are creating a process similar to fermentation. And finally, it also contradicts why hydrogen peroxide is such a powerful anti-viral agent. And used (in hidden fashion) in hospitals to clean MRSA infected rooms. Hidden I say because even the workers are told its the chemical added and not the fact that it is essentially a bottle of over-priced hydrogen peroxide being sold to the hospital at 20 to 30 times the cost of a "non-chemicalized" dollar store brand.

Re: the main article... sounds like an absolute load of crap... by completely redirecting the real cause - pharmaceutically produced antibiotics made by multi-billion dollar for profit corporations, in what is a very well known, and well established scientific understanding. ie. they are simply killing off easy to kill viruses in their human hosts causing the surviving viruses/bacteria to proliferate/mutating into hardier strains. While Drs have admitted repeatedly "they can't control" subscribing antibiotics to patients who insist on them, even though they only have a bacterial infection!!!??? ... for which antibiotics don't work on them anyhow. (oh poor Drs, with "no control"....boo hoo hoo) but hey, a dollar is a dollar...

I guess someone has seen the future and knows that SHTF is coming and is looking to avoid taking responsibility. They are already starting the campaign for misinformation/misdirection.

That said I too don't know the exact nature of how silver kills bacteria/viruses either (good question). But I am sure it is not anything at all similar to antibiotic use, or hydrogen peroxide.

And the fact this guy screwed up something so fundamental, right at the get go, just knocked me over... I would strongly suggest just ditching this one, when there are a thousand other videos to research out there, compared to this drivel. Friends of Earth, sounds like something the Rockefellers or Bronfmans might come up with... it has that cheesy generic jingoistic sound to it, something they can mold into anything they want for future propaganda "charity" campaigns (isn't it amazing how these people really make their money, while controlling the masses and keeping us poor at the same time?)

Just keep silver for the rich... LOL ... hmm... and I wonder, if this has any implications for the silver market in general... as the rise of superbugs is clearly on the horizon, I remember reading investment articles 10 years ago, how they were "predicting" and encouraging people to invest in pharmaceuticals. But when the SHTF (i.e. one of their engineered viruses finally "pays off" and actually takes hold in the general public) and people wake up it could cause a run on silver, as people finally realized the huge con of pharmaceutical health destroying 'band-aid' solutions. This has all the markings of a pre-emptive counter propaganda campaign...

And it does appear that for now and the foreseeable future.
