BREAKING: Glyphosate (Roundup) Carcinogenic In the PARTS PER TRILLION Range
Friday, 14 June 2013
An alarming new study finds that glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup weedkiller, is estrogenic and drives breast cancer cell proliferation in the parts-per-trillion range. Does this help explain the massive mammary tumors that the only long term animal feeding study on Roundup and GM corn ever performed recently found?
http://www.greenmedinfo.com/sites/default/files/ckeditor/Sayer%20Ji/images/Screen%20Shot%202013-06-13%20at%202_01_55%20PM.png
An alarming new study, accepted for publication in the journal Food and Chemical Toxicology last month, indicates that glyphosate, the world's most widely used herbicide due to its widespread use in genetically engineered agriculture, is capable of driving estrogen receptor mediated breast cancer cell proliferation within the infinitesimal parts per trillion concentration range.[i]
The study, titled, "Glyphosate induces human breast cancer cells growth via estrogen receptors," compared the effect of glyphosate on hormone-dependent and hormone-independent breast cancer cell lines, finding that glyphosate stimulates hormone-dependent cancer cell lines in what the study authors describe as "low and environmentally relevant concentrations."
The results were broken down by the researchers as follows:
Glyphosate induces T47D, hormone dependent breast cancer cell growth.
The proliferative effect of glyphosate is mediated via estrogen receptors.
Glyphosate induces ERE [Estrogen Response Element]-transcription activity via estrogen receptors.
Glyphosate modulates the expression of E[strogen] R[eceptor] α and E[estrogen] R[eceptor]β in human breast cancer cells.
These effects indicate that glyphosate is a 'xenoestrogen,' capable of inducing Estrogen Response Elements (EREs) in a manner, slightly weaker but functionally similar to the most potent human estrogen Estradiol (E2).
http://www.greenmedinfo.com/sites/default/files/ckeditor/Sayer%20Ji/images/breast-cancer-cell.jpg
More concerning is the discovery that infinitesimal glyphosate concentrations in the parts-per-trillion rage (10 to the minus 12) had proliferative (carcinogenic) effects on the studied T47D breast cancer cells line:
"In this study, we found that glyphosate at a log interval concentration ranging from 10-12 to 10-6 M increased the cell proliferation of a hormorne dependent breast cancer T47D cell..."
The researchers also discovered that the naturally occurring phytoestrogen in soybean known as genistein, produced "an additive estrogenic effect" when combined with glyphosate, raising the serious question as to whether GMO soybeans are contributing to the epidemic levels of breast cancer within countries like the US where they are consumed in relatively high quantities.
It should be noted that the concentrations used to determine the interactive effects of glyphosate and phytoestrogen genistein in this study were modeled "as in a real world situation" by using information obtained from studies that assayed the respective levels of genistein and glyphosate in GM soybeans, as well as human plasma and urine concentrations following their consumption and/or exposure. For instance, glyphosate concentrations have been detected within human urine within the 0.1 - 233 parts per billion range on the lowest end, and an estimated systemic dose of 0.004 mg/kg on the high end.
The authors stated:
This finding should raise concern about the existence of more than one xenoestrogen such as phytoestrogen and contaminants in plant derived food which may be beneficial or harmful depending on the hormonal and pathological status of consumers. This study implied that the additive effect of glyphosate and genistein in postmenopausal woman may induce cancer cell growth. In this present in vitro study, we showed an estrogenicity of pure glyphosate. In summary, we found that glyphosate exhibited a weaker estrogenic activity than estradiol. Furthermore, this study demonstrated the additive estrogenic effects of glyphosate and genistein which implied that the use of glyphosate-contaminated soybean products as dietary supplements may pose a risk of breast cancer because of their potential additive estrogenicity." [emphasis added]
This finding is relevant to virtually anyone who consumes genetically modified food today. GM crops, which are designed to survive glyphosate poisoning by being genetically engineered with 'glyphosate-resistance" (i.e. RoundUp Ready), are universally contaminated with glyphosate and its toxic metabolite AMPA. Furthermore, glyphosate pollution and exposure is now omnipresent, with one 2011 study finding glyphosate in 60-100% of all US air and rain samples tested, and another 2012 study finding that glyphosate widely contaminates groundwater, which is the water located beneath the ground surface, that supplies aquifers, wells and springs.
It is therefore virtually impossible to hermetically seal yourself off from the growing global environmental threat by only consuming "certified organic" food. The time has come to face the fact that unless there is a systemic change in the way our GM, petrochemically-driven monocultured food production system operates, we will all experience a great deal of harm.

GM Food/Roundup Breast Cancer Link Already Firmly Established
This latest study is not the only compelling evidence that there is a Roundup-Breast Cancer link. In a previous article titled, "Will the GMO-Breast Cancer Link Be Pinkwashed Away?", we addressed the disturbing implications of the first long-term GM and Roundup animal feeding study produced by Gilles-Éric Séralini's research team last November, and which found that after 90 days (the temporal threshold beneath which all previous biotech industry funded GM food safety studies end) the animals began to show disturbing signs of systemic organ damage, failure and cancer. More pointedly, Séralini's team observed that the animals developed massive, estrogen-dependent mammary tumors:
"Suffering inducing euthanasia and deaths corresponded mostly in females to the development of large mammary tumors. These appeared to be clearly related to the various treatments when compared to the control groups. These tumors are generally known to be mostly estrogen-dependent (Harvell et al., 2000). We observed a strikingly marked induction of mammary tumors by R[roundup] alone, a major formulated pesticide, even at the very lowest dose administered. R[oundup] has been shown to disrupt aromatase which synthesizes estrogens (Richard et al., 2005)... [pg. 9]"
Could the results of this latest study help explain the molecular mechanism behind this finding?

This makes me so very angry.
I know a number of women who are dealing with breast cancer.
I am currently in the process of removing every #%^$#! bit of processed food from my home. Those bastards are free to make their "food products" with toxic substances but I am one "customer" who won't be buying it anymore.
And this is not an empty threat. It is a major deal for me to remove all the processed foods from my kitchen and make everything from scratch. I have a full time job and family responsibilities and for years I lived on processed, convenience and fast "food products". I figure if a junk food junkie like myself can eat differently, than anyone can.

Pick Your POISON – Sunscreens vs. Sunburns
Tuesday, June 11th 2013
Written By: Dr. B.J. Hardick, D.C.

Confused about what to put on your skin to protect it from the sun? Is a tanning bed a safer way of maintaining that "healthy glow"? How much sun is good for us? How much sun is bad? Is it better to get natural sunlight or controlled exposure through a tanning bed?
It's easy to get lost in the myriad of claims bombarding us from print and television media. There are more tanning outlets in the United States than there are McDonald's fast food restaurants. It's an industry that brings in $5 billion dollars a year[i]! We read ongoing discussions about the risk of UV rays vs. the risk of vitamin D deficiency. We read connections between sun exposure and melanoma, and research declaring tanning bed UV rays as carcinogenic.
It almost seems that we should hide inside and protect ourselves from the sun's damaging rays – but then, what about vitamin D? We spend our time indoors for a good chunk of the year. Finally, summer comes and we're lured outside by warm weather and sunshine. Too much, too soon and the next thing you know, you're burnt to a crisp. Or, we spend our weekdays inside in an air-conditioned environment and when the weekend arrives, we're in the garden, at the beach or participating in a variety of outdoor activities. This is also an ideal way to char pale skin – and not an ideal way to get Vitamin D!
Information and Misinformation about the Sun and Skin Cancer
Outdoor sun exposure has been safe for centuries. In 1930, skin cancer was rare. Today, one in every five Americans develops skin cancer. 3.5 million cases are diagnosed every year, and the incidence of melanoma has increased by 1800% over the last 30 years[ii]. No wonder we are so afraid to go out in the sun.
We have seen arguments about depletion of the ozone layer and its impact on the incidence of skin cancer. The premise is that a thinning of the ozone layer allows more intense damaging rays through the atmosphere, increasing our risk of sunburn and the increased risk of cancer[iii]. Truthfully, that link is weak, in that the ozone layer depletes seasonally in winter and spring, which is generally not when we spend time in the sun. And the depletion is largely over the Arctic and Antarctica, and at the equator, yet cancer rates are not higher in those geographic regions[iv]. And should that exposure equal an 1800% increase in the incidence of skin cancer over the past 30 years? Until this argument is resolved, let's look at the issues over which we have some control.
Genetically, humans require sunlight exposure for vitamin D, required for wellbeing and cellular function. Research is clear about the healthy benefits of sun exposure. It is, however, sunburns that potentially raise cause for concern[v].
Most studies examining sun exposure and its connection to melanoma, or skin cancer, show that it is the incidence of burns that are related to the appearance of melanoma[vi]. However, some studies are unable to "find lifetime routine sun exposure or sun exposure via recreational outdoor activities or occupations to be associated with melanoma risk"[vii]. Not only does this suggest that every day exposure is less of a concern than a burn, these results were also not changed "by detailed examination of sun exposure according to season, decade age, type of outdoor activity, indoor tanning status, or tumor site"[viii].
What does this tell us?
There are people every year who get melanoma on random parts of their body, less exposed to the sun than others. How do we explain the case of melanoma on the plantar surface of the heel? Clearly, there are many other factors to be considered.
Indoor tanning vs. types of outdoor activity are neither to blame, definitively. There are people every year who get skin cancer who never use a tanning bed.
Further, the incidence of melanoma in the United States follows no pattern whatsoever[ix]. Certainly, number or length of days in the sun, or one's proximity to the equator, can't be to blame.
http://www.greenmedinfo.com/sites/default/files/ckeditor/Sayer%20Ji/images/melanoma_rates.PNG
In an assessment of this current research, Dr. James Chestnut proposes that while sunburn is a causal factor in skin cancer, the body is most limited in its ability to defend itself from a scorching when intensely tanning indoors[x]. It would only make sense that the body is best able to utilize its antioxidants and regenerative healing abilities when a burn is acquired in an outdoor environment, over time, as opposed to in a manufactured environment, indoors, in which the body has less of an ability to defend itself – and you are less likely to even realize that you're getting burned. Our body is configured to manage natural sun, not the artificial sun of a tanning bed.
Regardless of the amount of time we spend in the sun or in a booth, what should be avoided at all costs is the burning of our skin from intense overexposure. It's not sun exposure, not UVB exposure, but exposure beyond our body's limitations that raises most (but not all) cause for concern.
One's goal in sun exposure is to not get burned – definitely not in a tanning bed, and preferably not in the fresh air. While the risk of cancer related to tanning bed burns is indeed clear, though the risk of fresh air burns is not, no one loves a burn from either setting.
Avoiding sunburn – What are the best options for sunscreen?
Commercial sunscreens and their ingredients are terrifying. Just as we erroneously hear that anything "low fat" must be good, we've been taught that the higher the SPF in a sunscreen, the better it must be. There are two reasons this statement could not be any further from the truth.
First, your body needs to produce vitamin D as a result of having sun exposure. A higher SPF means reduced exposure to the benefits of the sun and the less vitamin D your body will utilize. Research shows that incidence of melanoma increases in those not exposed to the sun, and the depletion of vitamin D has a strong correlation to the rise in melanoma[xi].
Second, generally speaking, the higher the SPF, the more synthetic chemicals are contained in the lotion to create its formula. The biggest problem with the lotions and creams we slather all over our bodies is not how much they protect us from the sun, but what's in them that pollutes our bodies in the interest of blocking the sun's rays. After all, it has been stated that 80 percent of all cancers are attributed to environmental factors, including exposure to carcinogenic chemicals[xii].
Further, a summary of research in 2008 showed that only 5–10% of all cancer cases can be attributed to genetic defects, whereas the remaining 90–95% have their roots in the environment and lifestyle[xiii]. Notably, whereas only up to 10% of total cancer cases may be induced by all forms of radiation (of which UV is just a small part[xiv]), there are a multitude of environmental agents, mainly chemicals, associated with specific cancers[xv]. In older studies, some cancers have been linked to exposure to arsenic in medicines. In fact, the strongest link has been found with skin cancer[xvi]. Arsenic can be found in older pressure treated lumber, some pesticides, leather preservatives, and some glass.
The top five toxic exposures occur in water, cosmetics, food, household products and health care. Sunscreens are a big contributor to toxins in the body. Sunscreens containing para-aminobenzoic acid (PABa) and benzophenones are the biggest culprits, causing not only skin irritations and allergies but generating cell-damaging free radicals when exposed to sunlight (as reported by Dr. Kerry Hanson, Free Radical Biology and Medicine, October 2006).
Chemicals are readily absorbed through the skin. Within 26 seconds of application, traces of chemicals from products topically applied can be found in every organ. The five chemicals to avoid in any skin preparation are[xvii]:
Para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA), including octyl-dimethyl PABA
Benzophenones, especially benzophenone-3
Cinnamates, namely octyl-methoxycinnamate (OMC)
Homosalate
4-methyl-benzylidene camphor (4-MBC)
PABa is most likely to cause skin irritations. The remaining four contain estrogenic properties, potentially disrupting hormone production and negatively affecting brain development and reproductive function.
And parabens, which are antibacterial preservatives, used in cosmetics and found in over 60 percent of commercially available sunscreens, migrate through the body and are found in breast cancer cells and in the male reproductive system[xviii].
Parabens increase the proliferation of breast cancer cell lines, and decrease testosterone production[xix],[xx].
Children are at greater risk because their immune systems are not fully developed. A child's skin is more sensitive than an adult's and absorbs more toxins, and because the child is young, toxic accumulation is greater over time.
Natural options...
If you can't use sunscreens containing toxic chemicals and you want to get the full benefit of being outdoors, what do you do?
First, avoid the chemicals noted above. If a sunscreen contains these chemicals, do not use it.
Get 10-20 minutes of full sun daily for the best vitamin D production. Increase exposure gradually, rather than all at once. Avoid getting sunburned. Use lightweight clothing or hats to prevent excessive sun exposure.
In place of a sun screen or sun "block," I would prefer for people to apply natural oils rich in antioxidants such as coconut oil while being exposed to the sun, to best enable your skin to adapt to the UV radiation[xxi].
Be sure to incorporate foods rich in antioxidants into your diet. It makes sense that we are given berries and other antioxidant-rich foods when there is more sun. They flourish at a time when your body most needs them to deal with oxidizing radiation. This is not an accident, but provision.
The definition of health is not that you are free of symptoms, but that your body is fully equipped to adapt to its environment. Therefore, anything you can apply to help your body adapt to an extreme environmental change will support your good health.
For some people and in some climates, that adaptation may require more of a sunblock. Therefore, protect your skin with a safe alternative. Use only organic, vegan and pure products. Apply as often as it comes off or gets absorbed.
For example, zinc is a physical sunblock. You can mix the zinc with natural oils to make your own sunblock. The oils are slowly absorbed into the skin while the mineral (zinc) stays on the surface of the skin, acting as a barrier to the sun.
If you are using a commercially prepared sunscreen, or one that you make yourself, be sure that the zinc oxide is not a nano particle (extremely small particles called nano particles easily penetrate cells, leading to DNA damage after exposure to sunlight[xxii]). Many natural products will use nano zinc particles (the ingredient list on the bottle may not necessarily describe the zinc as a nano particle) or titanium dioxide. Titanium dioxide, while mainly considered toxic only to the lungs when inhaled, should be noted to create free radicals when exposed to UV radiation. While titanium dioxide may be a safer ingredient in certain cosmetics and in certain climates or times of day, common sense should prevent us from covering the surfaces of our skin with it while exposed to intense rays[xxiii].
Physical sunblocks such as clothing, and shade from the trees work well, too. When the warm weather begins to beckon you outside, you're better to work in a semi-shaded garden for several hours than lying on your back at high sun for 30 minutes straight. Let yourself gradually adapt to the season.
Most importantly, let's not forget to protect ourselves from the inside out. The more omega 3 and 6 fatty acids you consume, the greater your protection from sunburn (in addition to all the other amazing and essential health properties they provide)[xxiv].
I would endorse vitamin D supplementation year-round – even in the summer. I've worked with far too many patients who "get a lot of sunshine", even those who spend their winters in sunny climates, who discover that their levels of serum vitamin D are greatly depleted. It's unrealistic to assume that 20 minutes per day of tanning is the best way to ensure optimal vitamin D levels. Neither is supplementation. However, in a climate where we spend little time in the sun, and when the foods we consume to assist our bodies in the absorption of Vitamin D is also reduced, it is in my opinion the best option. Most natural health experts advocate for 5,000 to 10,000 units per day of quality vitamin D3 supplementation.
Above all, remember to focus on the whole body. Daily exercise reduces the accumulation of toxins in the body. Exposure to sunshine also enables the detoxification pathways[xxv]! Supporting nerve supply through chiropractic care allows the body to function the way it was intended, naturally detoxifying and eliminating the harmful chemicals we do absorb through daily life in our increasingly toxic environment. We have enough challenges with the environmental stress on our bodies.
Try not to increase the load by intentionally absorbing chemicals (http://www.greenmedinfo.com/blog/let-food-be-your-cosmetic-coconut-oil-outperforms-dangerous-petroleum-body-care) in a misguided attempt to protect yourself from what, for centuries, has been natural, beneficial and healing – the sun.

FDA approves first GMO flu Vaccine containing Reprogrammed insect Virus
http://worldtruth.tv/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/r-FLUBLOK-large570.jpg
A new vaccine for influenza has hit the market, and it is the first ever to contain genetically-modified (GM) proteins derived from insect cells. According to reports, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently approved the vaccine, known as Flublok, which contains recombinant DNA technology and an insect virus known as baculovirus that is purported to help facilitate the more rapid production of vaccines.
According to Flublok's package insert, the vaccine is trivalent, which means it contains GM proteins from three different flu strains. The vaccine's manufacturer, Protein Sciences Corporation (PSC), explains that Flublok is produced by extracting cells from the fall armyworm, a type of caterpillar, and genetically altering them to produce large amounts of hemagglutinin, a flu virus protein that enables the flu virus itself to enter the body quickly.
So rather than have to produce vaccines the "traditional" way using egg cultures, vaccine manufacturers will now have the ability to rapidly produce large batches of flu virus protein using GMOs, which is sure to increase profits for the vaccine industry. But it is also sure to lead to all sorts of serious side effects, including the deadly nerve disease Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GSB), which is listed on the shot as a potential side effect.
"If Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) has occurred within six weeks of receipt of a prior influenza vaccine, the decision to give Flublock should be based on careful consideration of the potential benefits and risks," explains a section of the vaccine's literature entitled "Warnings and Precautions." Other potential side effects include allergic reactions, respiratory infections, headaches, fatigue, altered immunocompetence, rhinorrhea, and myalgia.
According to clinical data provided by PSC in Flublok's package insert, two study participants actually died during trials of the vaccine. But the company still insists Flublok is safe and effective, and that it is about 45 percent effective against all strains of influenza in circulation, rather than just one or two strains.
FDA also approves flu vaccine containing dog kidney cells
Back in November, the FDA also approved a new flu vaccine known as Flucelvax that is actually made using dog kidney cells. A product of pharmaceutical giant Novartis, Flucelvax also does away with the egg cultures, and can similarly be produced much more rapidly than traditional flu vaccines, which means vaccine companies can have it ready and waiting should the federal government declare a pandemic.
Like Flublok, Flucelvax was made possible because of a $1 billion, taxpayer-funded grant given by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to the vaccine industry back in 2006 to develop new manufacturing methods for vaccines. The ultimate goal is to be able to quickly manufacture hundreds of millions of vaccines for rapid distribution.
Meanwhile, there are reportedly two other GMO flu vaccines currently under development. One of them, which is being produced by Novavax, will utilize "bits of genetic material grown in caterpillar cells called 'virus-like particles' that mimic a flu virus," according to Reuters.

This really annoys me, the fact that such products and companies like Monsanto still trade without hindrance on the world stage. I belong to an allotment forum and grow all my own produce. To keep the weeds at bay I dig them out or spray some with a vinegar / soap solution. Yet some still use Roundup or Glysophate with wild abandon. On that forum they won't even allow a discussion for or against Roundup. Makes me so angry that they won't allow the facts to be presented.

Unless you grow it yourself and know where your seeds came from, and have access to fresh uncontaminated water for irrigation, then there is no such thing as fresh, organic. I think it is time to face the reality, that it is too late. The reality is, the crap in the air, circles the entire earth. AND, the natural water vapor clouds, are made up of the water on the ground. A natural cycle. Vapor rises, = cloud, clouds saturates, rain comes down. What is in the air is in the water. What is in the ground, is in the water. What is in the water is in the air. All are in the food, and ultimately our bodies. The contamination of EVERYTHING, especially the use of GMO and ROUNDUP, in my opinion, has reached the point of no return, not in my generation. I hate to be a doom and gloomer. But I am just calling a spade a spade.:help:

Monsanto’s Roundup: new deadly scam exposed (http://jonrappoport.wordpress.com/2014/02/02/monsantos-roundup-new-deadly-scam-exposed/)

Monsanto’s Roundup: new deadly scam exposed (http://jonrappoport.wordpress.com/2014/02/02/monsantos-roundup-new-deadly-scam-exposed/)
by Jon Rappoport, February 2, 2014
www.nomorefakenews.com (http://www.nomorefakenews.com/)
Roundup is the Monsanto herbicide that is touted as the cornerstone of GMO food crops. Monsanto claims these crops are genetically engineered to withstand heavy spraying of Roundup.
Therefore, the crops live and the weeds die. Breakthrough.
There are several key lies associated with these claims—but a new one has surfaced.
A study to be published this month indicts Roundup and, in fact, the general class of insecticides and herbicides. On what grounds? When they’re tested for safety, only the so-called “active ingredients” are examined.
The untested ingredients are called “adjuvants,” and they are said to be inert and irrelevant. But the new study concludes this is far from true. The adjuvants are actually there to INCREASE the killing power of the active ingredient in the herbicide or insecticide.
Safety tests don’t take this into account. “Active ingredients” are already toxic, but the adjuvants ramp up their poisonous nature even higher.
And the worst offender is Roundup.
Here are key quotes from a January 31 article at GM Watch, “Pesticide approvals misleading—and Roundup most toxic of 9 pesticides tested.”
“Pesticide formulations as sold and used are up to 1000 times more toxic than the isolated substance that is tested and evaluated for safety.”
“Roundup the most toxic of herbicides and insecticides tested.”
“…the complete pesticide formulations as sold and used also contain additives (adjuvants), which increase the pest- or weedkilling activity of the pesticide. These complete formulations do not have to be tested in medium- and long-term tests – even though they are the substances to which farmers and citizens are exposed.”
“This is a serious defect of the regulatory process, according to a newly published study by the team of Professor Séralini (Mesnage et al. 2014, Biomedical Research International). The study found that for eight major pesticides (out of a total of nine analyzed), the commercial formulation is up to 1000 times more toxic than the active ingredient assessed for safety by regulators.”
“The study was carried out in vitro on three types of human cells.”
“The study produced another surprise outcome. Roundup is often claimed to be a benign herbicide that is widely used in public spaces and by home gardeners as well as by farmers. Yet the researchers found it was by far the most toxic of all the herbicides and insecticides they tested.”
Obviously, we are looking at a major crime and major scam here. It boils down to this: the manufacturers who put these adjuvants in their pesticides and herbicides know very well why they are there—to increase the killing power of the “active ingredient.” But this fact is overlooked and ignored. The pretense is, the adjuvants are inert and harmless.
The new study that exposes this crime is led by French scientist Gilles Eric Seralini. He previously published a study showing rats developed tumors when fed GMO food (https://jonrappoport.wordpress.com/2014/01/19/truth-about-the-seralini-rat-tumor-gmo-study-explodes/). A firestorm of criticism was leveled against him. He was “discredited.” But in case you think we should reject Seralini’s latest findings, here is my piece on the earlier manufactured firestorm:
Remember a researcher named Gilles-Eric Seralini, his 2012 GMO study, and the controversy that swirled around it?
He fed rats GMOs, in the form of Monsanto’s Roundup Ready corn, and they developed tumors. Some died. The study was published in the journal, Food and Chemical Toxicology. Pictures of the rats were published.
A wave of biotech-industry criticism ensued. Pressure built. “Experts” said the study was grossly unscientific, its methods were unprofessional, and Seralini was biased against GMOs from the get-go. Monsanto didn’t like Seralini at all.
The journal which published the Seralini study caved in and retracted it.
Why? Not because Seralini did anything unethical, not because he plagiarized material, not because he was dishonest in any way, but because:
He used rats which (supposedly) had an inherent tendency to develop tumors (the Sprague-Dawley strain), and because he used too few rats (10). That’s it. Those were Seralini’s errors.
Well, guess what? Eight years prior to Seralini, Monsanto also did a rat-tumor-GMO study and published it in the very same journal. Monsanto’s study showed there were no tumor problems in the rats. But here’s the explosive kicker. Monsanto used the same strain of rats that Seralini did and same number of rats (10). And nobody complained about it.
Michael Hansen, senior scientist at Consumer’s Union (http://consumersunion.org/experts/michael-hansen/), explains in an interview with Steve Curwood (http://www.loe.org/about/steve.html) at loe.org:
“Well, basically what Dr. Séralini did was he did the same feeding study that Monsanto did and published in the same journal eight years prior, and in that study, they [Monsanto] used the same number of rats, and the same strain of rats, and came to a conclusion there was no [tumor] problem. So all of a sudden, eight years later, when somebody [Seralini] does that same experiment, only runs it for two years rather than just 90 days, and their data suggests there are problems, [then] all of a sudden the number of rats is too small? Well, if it’s too small to show that there’s a [tumor] problem, wouldn’t it be too small to show there’s no problem? They already said there should be a larger study, and it turns out the European Commission is spending 3 million Euros to actually do that Séralini study again, run it for two years, use 50 or more rats and look at the carcinogenicity. So they’re actually going to do the full-blown cancer study, which suggests that Séralini’s work was important, because you wouldn’t follow it up with a 3 million Euro study if it was a completely worthless study.”
Boom.
I can just hear Monsanto felons gibbering: “Well, we the biotech industry people published our study. We used 10 rats and we used the Sprague-Dawley strain. And that was fine. It was especially fine because our study showed GMOs were safe. But then this guy Seralini comes along and does the same study with the same kind of rat and same number of rats, and he discovers tumors. That’s not fine. That’s very bad. He…he…used the wrong rats…yeah…and he didn’t use enough rats. He’s a faker. Well, I mean, we used the same kind of rat and same number of rats, but when we did the experiment, we were Good, and Seralini was Bad. Do you see?”
Yes, the mists are clearing and things are coming into focus.
Any comments, Monsanto? I’d be happy to pass them along to Michael Hansen.

Was French Prof. Gilles-Eric Séralini correct when he discovered that scientific feeding experiments past 90 days with GMO food and rats can cause serious health problems including tumors?
The answer to that question has been debated ever since the initial publication of his study, culminating in a republication of the study (http://www.gmoseralini.org/republication-seralini-study-science-speaks/) in another peer-reviewed journal that wasn’t nearly as well covered as the initial retraction was by the mainstream media.
Now, Prof. Séralini is in the news again – this time for winning a major court victory (http://www.gmoseralini.org/seralinis-team-wins-defamation-and-forgery-court-cases-on-gmo-and-pesticide-research/) in a libel trial that represents the second court victory for Séralini and his team in less than a month.
On November 25, the High Court in Paris indicted Marc Fallous, the former chairman of France’s Biomolecular Engineering Commission, for “forgery” and the “use of forgery.” The details of the case have not been officially released.
But according to this article (http://www.gmoseralini.org/seralinis-team-wins-defamation-and-forgery-court-cases-on-gmo-and-pesticide-research/) from the Séralini website, Fallous used or copied the signature of a scientist whose name was used, without his agreement, to argue that Séralini and his co-workers were wrong in their studies on Monsanto products, including GM corn.
A sentencing for Fallous is expected in June 2016.
Second Court Victory Reached
This was the second such court victory for the professor’s team, following a November 6 victory in a defamation lawsuit over an article in the French Marianne magazine which categorized the Séralini team research as “scientific fraud (you can read more about the case here (http://www.gmoseralini.org/seralinis-team-wins-defamation-and-forgery-court-cases-on-gmo-and-pesticide-research/)).”
What few people realize about the original Séralini study on GMOs is that it was only retracted after a serious PR offensive from Monsanto and the Biotech industry (https://www.rt.com/op-edge/monsanto-gmo-studies-reports-588/), one that included the creation of a whole new position on the original Food and Toxicology journal: Associate Editor for Biotechnology.
The new position was actually filled by a former Monsanto employee (https://www.rt.com/op-edge/monsanto-gmo-studies-reports-588/)who helped convince the journal’s author to retract the study.
Now more than 2 years later, these are the facts: Séralini and his team’s original study has been republished (http://www.gmoseralini.org/republication-seralini-study-science-speaks/) in a different peer-reviewed journal, Environmental Sciences Europe; they have won two key lawsuits against those who have attempted to ruin their reputations; and a recent peer-reviewed letter even asserted that Séralini and his team may have been right after al (http://www.march-against-monsanto.com/new-peer-reviewed-papers-bold-statement-seralini-study-on-gmos-tumors-was-right-after-all/)l on their discovery showing tumors in lab rats fed GMOs.
In other words, the jury is still out on GMO safety to say the very least, just as countless independent scientists (http://www.gmofreeusa.org/research/gmo-science-research/)have warned, and Séralini’s study stands as yet another cause for concern with the ongoing GMO experiment. It also shows the lengths that the Biotech industry will go to in order to discredit any independent science that clashes with their own version of science.

This sounds like the same story where thousands of scientists and laymen (including me) signed a petition to boycott Elsevier, for clearly being biased, while claiming to not be biased, in it's peer review journals.
Thanks for the good news Herve! I was hoping this one would bear some fruit.

the trick to remember is that the poisoning of the population was and is the key point. The rest is just a fabricated cover story that fits, like a cover and glove, into the desired point of killing people off and breaking the run of the continued upward spiral of human genetic growth.
The company is called 'I.G. Farbensanto', as it, Monsanto... is borne out of I.G.Farben.
I.G. Farben is the huge fascist German corporate conglomerate that hides in the shadows, as a tool and machine to be used by despotic human elites for the purpose of population control, population reduction, and population dumbing down...all through genetic destruction.
You are dealing with a pointed directed attack that has good distraction/deflection cover stories, stories in place so no one will look or believe. When you look at the lengths gone to by these companies associated with IG Farben, what they have done to keep their chemicals and materials in the human life and consumption chain, it becomes obvious.
Everything they do, everything they have ever done -----kills people. As clandestinely as possible, with as much control as possible, with as much permanence in the system, as is possible.
You are dealing with the worst kind of fascists.
