This is a request by the government to the press not to publish any more data that would effect national security. This is regards to Edward Snowdon the NSA whisleblower. Yet it does not effect other media companies outside the UK from publishing more information. I have noticed what was a front page story is now further to the back page, and a small article written by Simon Jenkins basically states the press was told to shut up by the government.
I bet the US government is trying to gag the US mainstream press as well through threats and intimidation, and threats of prosecution, which some congressman have suggested.
