A retired Israeli military general told the Israeli Army Radio on his 100 birthday that the Israeli army destroyed and depopulated hundreds of Arab villages in order to establishment the state of Israel in 1948, and added that “he feels good about it.”

“I can sleep with clear mind”, Yitzhak Pondak, told the Israeli Army Radio [Galei Tzahal] last week, “otherwise the number of Arabs in Israel would have been a million more than their number now”.

Pondak headed Platoon #53 of the Givati Brigade, and served as Israel’s ambassador in Tanzania.

“Under my command, soldiers destroyed Arab villages”, he said, “We did what we needed to do, otherwise the number of Arabs now would have been a million more”.

Responding to a question regarding lectures he gives to Israeli soldiers, Pondak said that

“the Israel is still facing the same dangers it faced when it was created in 1948”, and added “Should the Jews fail to fight the same way they fought back then, our state will be in real danger”.

He also claimed that should a war break out now, “the Jews will be able to sacrifice the same way they did in 1948”, according to the retired general.

“Wars unite the ranks of the Jewish people”, he added, “after wars, Jews form parties and become divided”.

He also said that he is sorry for the death of 145 Israeli soldiers under his command throughout his years of service, and added that “should those soldiers miraculously come back to life now, and witness the current divisions in the Israeli Jewish society, they would run back to their graves”.

Pondak also served as the Israeli Military Commander of the Gaza Strip in the early seventies of last century. He said that the credit former Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, got for “stopping Arab terrorism in 1971 is overrated”.

“Sharon was harsh without a reason”, he said,

“Sharon once told senior military generals that he will give a bottle of Champaign to every soldier who kills an enemy fighter, and will give a soda to every soldier who captures a wounded enemy”.

I don't understand how people feel good about the death of others.

It's a very ancient and barbaric mindset that moves some parts of Israel,
and not to sound like a Bible-beater, but this is the precise reason Christ was killed.

He preached against the establishment and demonstrated good behavior toward the Gentile.

In fact, if it wasn't for the Greek temples, Christianity would never have evolved and Israel would have no Bible beating Christian nation to lean on while spouting these horrific racist beliefs.

Meeting ignorance with more ignorance is their response to the unfortunate situation with the Arab.

And I wonder why no one talks anymore about the UK's underhanded involvement in pitting the Jews against the Black Hands,
making promises to Palestinians and Jews alike, knowing they could not keep the promises but could access to the land bridge to India...

The only reason Israel exists is because Britain needed a place to march through if Indian trade went tits up.

I don't understand how people feel good about the death of others.

When people are immersed in the conviction that certain races are inferior and barbaric they cannot but feel good to have that evil removed from the face of the earth. To them it probably even feels like they have actually done a good thing for humanity.

This fact about some of our fellow/fella occupants of this planet has been a stall point for me.
There are people within a few miles of many of us who feel it is their duty, commanded by god, to exploit us or kill us if we get uppity.
We are of less value than our cattle in their eyes and they have no qualms about publicly broadcasting this yet today.

If sitting up on a cloud with a new age guru I can try to entertain the thought that it's all good in the big picture, but as a human living under their influences and paying for their weapons with my labor, this is a tough nut to accept. They declared war on me (most all of us) and peace is not allowed by their god.
