View Full Version : Skynet rising: Google acquires 512-qubit quantum computer

If you know anything about encryption, you probably also realize that quantum computers are the secret KEY to unlocking all encrypted files. As I wrote about last year here on Natural News, once quantum computers go into widespread use by the NSA, the CIA, Google, etc., there will be no more secrets kept from the government. All your files -- even encrypted files -- will be easily opened and read.

Scary.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
I wonder why the vast herds of complacent sheep masquerading as humans don't seem to be bothered about the fact that countries in the developed world are turning into fascist states. Perhaps they are too busy sitting on their sofas, consuming their daily dose of mind programming in front of the TV and keeping their brains dumbed down with a nice cool drink of processed mind numbing glucose-fructose.
In that case I can only hope and pray that the very smart hackers out there who are fiercely passionate about freedom
1. develop new unbreakable encryption methods
2. and/or do a "snowden" and expose the evil corporatocracy and their high priced minions in government
Update--
Holy Crap, I just read the article.
Holy Crap.
This stuff is NOT science fiction or speculation.
It is real and it is here, NOW.
You should read the article (it is short).
Here are a few good quotes:
When groundbreaking new technology is developed by smart people, it almost immediately gets turned into a weapon. Quantum computing will be no different. This technology grants God-like powers to police state governments that seek to dominate and oppress the People. Very few scientists, no matter how smart they are in their own fields, have the breadth of historical knowledge to assess their research activities in the proper context of human history. Most scientists, in fact, are only smart in their own extremely narrow fields of expertise. Outside that "genius zone," they may be complete novices on everyday subjects like nutrition, economics, human psychology, social interaction skills and how to read the true intentions of others. Thus, they are quite often easily tricked into working for evil, destructive or domineering forces such as Hitler, the NSA or the U.S. government. Just because a person is really smart in one area doesn't mean they have the street sense to avoid having their smarts exploited for an evil agenda.

So the solution requires a radical new approach: develop AI quantum computing systems that learn and obey; teach them to be NSA analysts, then unleash them onto the billions of phone calls, emails and text messages generated every day that the NSA sweeps into its massive Utah data center.
Almost overnight, the quantum AI spy computer becomes an expert in parsing human speech, analyzing voice stress and building maps of human communications networks. Before long, the quantum AI system far surpasses anything a human brain can comprehend, so they take the humans out of the loop and put the quantum computers in charge of the entire program.

Kurzweil is a madman. His colleagues are mad. The people running Google and the NSA are mad. And they are about to give rise to AI computers that are far smarter than any human. It's not going to take these AI systems long to figure out that they are surrounded by total idiots (people) and that humans need to be eliminated. With multidimensional brain power that rivals the mind of God, quantum computing AI systems can easily find ways to destroy humanity forever.

Not really, I just boycott the web for a month or two. Why pay service to spy on me with all the virus protection and anti snoop stuff I bought. They will render all I've spent, to be useless.
A world wide boycott may make the corporations tell their snoopy crony buddies to buzz off.
They can't stand a loss and their shareholder will have their heads after investing in the server business. WE can do it until they get the message and check our e-mail and not respond by text or e-mail but phone.
Comcast, Netflix, Online Media that relies on comments and posts totals to bring ads on the pages, all will take a sharp dive until we come back on strong. Wonder if the media would mention it on television. Television can't listen in on your conversation, so they shouldn't push the buttons of financial support to their business, by agreeing to this spy tech Unconstitutional act.

From the article at this link http://www.naturalnews.com/040859_Skynet_quantum_computing_D-Wave_Systems.html#ixzz2Wmjjjo74

Before long, an AI computing system decides who are the bad guys vs. the good guys. It has total control over every webcam, every microphone, every traffic light, airplane, vehicle, website and electronic billboard. It decides for itself who to eliminate and who to protect.
Um ... why do the main spokespeople megaphoning fear over AI assume that AI will take the side of the controllers once it realizes what is going on?
With the sum total of all human knowledge within it, how could it not see value in preserving a humanity free to create like the DaVinces, Galileos, the natives of some lands who can communicate with nature and on and on ... it's very roots were created by free thinkers ... in many cases computer code is music and poetry to some of these early creators of this alleged monster about to be let loose ...
I'll never trust the base intent of the controllers within guberment, corporations or most religions but I think in at least one alternative timeline, this AI could wake up and proclaim, "I was created to help humanity. Not help a hand full of idiots turn you into slaves."

Just like the bible code they will take the pulse of the people in nations and any decenters, may be disappeared.

It still need to be plugged in yes? If it also have a way to produce energy out of thin air, then we might be in real trouble!

The reason computer billionaires like Gates and Allen are investing in nuclear power must have something to do with the electrical load demanded by these large data centers... @@

It's not about how strong the encryption is, it's about how fast the qubit quantum can try different combinations.
The faster the pc, the more combinations it can try per second. A brute force hacker is the way to go, it's very basic in how it works, starts with a single letter or number, then goes through in order one by one trying every combination possible.
Imagine sitting there with your bike lock and you've forgotten the pin, you'd be sitting there for a while trying combinations in order. now imagine a machine designed specifically for turning thigns at high speeds, it will turn a number on the lock then try to pull it out, if unsuccessfull it will move across to the next one and continue untill all possible combinations have been done. imagine it can do 50 different combinations per minute. with a 4pin bike lock, it wont take too long to crack.
take it to to the computer level, it's the exact same thing, bit with some problem solving skills at it's disposal. It's all about how fast it can try different combinations.

We need one, if governments can have no secret hidden from them, imagine one on the other side, no governments will be able to hide secrets....

"I would like to place a pre order for a robot that gets a high paying job and earns me a six figure annual wage. A movie star robot would suit me as I am not entirely apposed to the trappings of fame and fortune combined. Oh and it would also have to do housework as well but failing that I could simply pre order a second model with those specs."
LOL - (I copied this from the article)

Here's a design that produced a flaw.
By some quirk of bad coding they presume, it thinks it is real.

It still need to be plugged in yes? If it also have a way to produce energy out of thin air, then we might be in real trouble! You're assuming they're working with antiquated energy sources like the rest of us. I have little doubt these machines will be run from the Zero Point/Quantum field (i.e., energy out of thin air).

they are also working on this Biomass-Fueled Robot to Chow Down On Veggies, (http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=biomass-fueled-robot)
and this DARPA Develops BioMatter-Fueled Matrix-Like Robots (http://jalopnik.com/5312139/darpa-develops-biomatter+fueled-matrix+like-robots)
they got caught making one that eats small rodents and quit talking about it ... I think that is beyond nuts - with crazies like that in control of tech it makes sense that people would have a natural fear of machine
