I live on the East Coast of US, so it's more than a passing interest. This video was posted on the Lt. Col Roy Potter thread. He ask for the listeners to look for it to come out soon. But after listening to a couple of minutes, I decided to create a separate thread.

I’ll state here, I won’t upload this guy’s videos again if nothing comes of it. At present, I feel it's important enough to post. See below for quick links quotes.

The above twelve posts began life on the Giant exercise off the east coast of the US. They were moved here as they were a derailment of the original thread.

This "derailment" thread will remain permanently closed. The thread they were moved from will be reopened.

Let me spell out some details we usually tend to leave partially unspoken.

We have just sent Jackovesk on a two month "field trip". This is an unusual action on our part. Let me explain a bit.

Jackovesk has been on the following previous "vacations" and "field trips":

July 2011 - one week
Oct 2011 - three days
March 2013 - one week
April 2013 - one month

Our usual rule of thumb is three strikes and you're out. There are of course variations depending on how long one has been a member, the severity of the offense(s), and how optimistic the moderators are regarding whether the member in question will learn from the experience. But a typical pattern is (1) a short vacation of 3 days, (2) a slighty longer vacation of a week, then (3) a field trip of one month. If the member still can't behave as expected on this forum, then they are permanently removed (though on occasion, such "permanently" removed members have been re-admitted.)

We determined that it was Jackovesk who made the above conflict personal, and who perpetuated it with various trollish mechanisms. See 14 Characteristics of a Classic Internet Troll (http://pluperfecter.blogspot.com/2011/08/14-characteristics-of-classic-internet.html) for a relevant list of such mechanisms, and observe that Jackovesk engages in many of these. (Thanks, anonymous, for that link.)

Jackovesk also puts much energy into this forum. He contributes many valuable threads, and is appreciated by many members. We (mods) chose not to invoke the "three strikes and you're out" rule in this case, in order to make it as clear as we could to fellow members what we were seeing and why we were doing what we were doing. It was clear to us mods that Jackovesk initiated the personal poking (see Post #1 above), and persisted in his efforts until I closed the thread.

All members must learn to treat fellow members with respect, as a condition of their continued membership on this forum. I seriously doubt we will ever send anyone on a "four month" field trip. Even this "two month" trip is exceptional. The next step for Jackovesk, after he returns, if he engages in such trollish disrespect again, will be permanent removal from the forum.
