Why would you start a thread with no intent on discussing the content? Is that not what a forum is for?

Forum's are in part for members to contribute and discuss, yes, but member's get to choose if and when to do so.

Yes, I am well aware that Debka is a mouthpiece of the Israeli military industrial complex.
Then why are we getting our information from it? Sorry Todd, but that video *IMO* is every bit as cheesy as American main stream "news".

Syrian Rebels Manufactured Chemical Weapons Outside Damascus By Fahim al-Surani
August 25, 2013 "Information Clearing House - "Voice Of Russia" - The Syrian military have discovered a warehouse with chemical agents in a suburb of Damascus. Correspondent of the Al-Ihbariya Syrian information channel Yara Saleh who was among the journalists who inspected the site of the scary find has given an exclusive interview to The Voice of Russia. She says that the discovered warehouse was at the same time a laboratory where shells were stuffed with poisonous chemicals.
The Syrian military found chemical weapons in the rebels’ tunnel located in the Jobar suburb of Damascus. Later the Syrian state TV showed the discovered poisonous agents and medical drugs.
Journalist Yara Saleh of the Al-Ihbariya Syrian information channel provided The Voice of Russia with more details about this discovery.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/syria/10265765/Navy-ready-to-launch-first-strike-on-Syria.html - Navy ready to launch first strike on Syria
Britain is planning to join forces with America and launch military action against Syria within days in response to the gas attack believed to have been carried out by President Bashar al-Assad’s forces against his own people.
todd... I don't think it gets any clearer than this article. the American papers have been much more subdued, but the British clearly are taking the lead in preparing the world for the US and Britain to "save Syria" from those using these awful chemical gases.
Here are the first three paragraphs:
Royal Navy vessels are being readied to take part in a possible series of cruise missile strikes, alongside the United States, as military commanders finalise a list of potential targets.
Government sources said talks between the Prime Minister and international leaders, including Barack Obama, would continue, but that any military action that was agreed could begin within the next week.
As the preparations gathered pace, William Hague, the Foreign Secretary, warned that the world could not stand by and allow the Assad regime to use chemical weapons against the Syrian people “with impunity”.

Good video though he questions whether American's will fall for the same story again. I question if enough American's would even care.

I just happened on this interview of the Australian PM after he was briefed on the situation in Syria. I think the info he reveals about the (upcoming) role of Australia adds some very important info, ie (bolds are mine):
You asked particularly what Australia can do. In a week's time we take over the presidency of the United Nations Security Council. One of the reasons I put forward for nominating Australia to that position some years ago, in the midst of considerable controversy and opposition here, was that we would have a place at the leading councils of the world on critical decisions such as those now affecting Syria. So we will be using our position on the council now and from next week to try and forge consensus in the council around a resolution or a presidential statement from the council to support the secretary-general's call for the Syrian regime to admit weapons inspectors now.
Much of the rest of the article is about his re-election campagne and Australian politics...but he re: Syria, he also mentions their reluctance of getting into another war:
I think in these sorts of circumstances, Barrie, it's important to be calm and measured in our response to crises.
The first step is to inform the Australian public as to what is happening to the best of our knowledge. Secondly, to then engage in what we are currently doing which is the proof-testing exercise.
I think we're all very reminiscent of when previous Australian governments and other governments went into armed conflict in Iraq based on, frankly, something that was entirely incorrect. When it comes to the situation in Syria, whatever the response may be and whatever form it might take, it's absolutely critical we get the facts absolutely right first.
Wow!
