One of these days companies such as this will understand that you can work with mother nature, you can even offer a helping hand but you can not radically change what has been put here naturally.

It really is criminal how this law was passed and signed by Obama completely under the radar. If there was a chance for debate or public reaction this would have never have been allowed to pass.

It's actually not even that much, "FORTY TONS — the entire acreage of two full fields of crops," so it's not so surprising that there's a blackout. Much more has been burnt by Hungary or Haitian farmers, France farmers were also often very eager to set GMO fields ablaze. It's happening all over the world, the bigger cases and of course all these stories taken together are surely very newsworthy. The stories are all online, some are right here (https://www.google.com/search?q=gmo+field+burnt+tons).

I'm very glad people are taking action. It's probably too late in my country, where all wheat is GMO now. I guess we could re-plant all fields with natural wheat seeds if we can get enough support.

Its never too late! As David Icke and Alex Collier would say,,,,get off your knees.

a stunt like that down here in southern OK could end up erasing a few towns with wild fires but i do like the concept of giving them a black eye somehow ... tough part in situation like this is determining who really loses with your act? Did they just wipe out the profits of some farmer wearing Monsanto shackles?

Wait a moment - An Oregon farmer has two fields of crops he cannot sell, as the market for his product has now disappeared and suddenly overnight(s) the entire crop is destroyed by fire and there were no witnesses?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Oregon sort of flat land, good visibility for many miles?

Does this not sound like an insurance scam as it certainly ticks all the boxes?

What kind of generous relationship does GMO Corporates have with their Insurers? Are farmers included within this relationship?

And of course, there are the ready made terrorists to blame, the anti-GMO groups.

Can you now imagine the various Gov Security agencies swop teaming every household that ever raised a negative comment about GMO?

Is the Oregon owner of the fields a farmer or businessman? Being involved with GMO implies the latter, though it might be worth investigating his background as this all very suspicious?

"while other governments in Europe and elsewhere are passing laws to ban GMO crops, and burning entire crops themselves, in America, our government is passing laws protecting Monsanto from legal repercussions, and therefore, it seems, farmers are forced to burn the crops, themselves. This means that where in other countries, citizens are being protected from corporate crimes, in America, citizens are forced to become ‘terrorists’ to survive. That’s how blatantly corrupt our corporate police state has become, I’m afraid."

Maybe ... good enough reason to find a way to break those shackles. Organic farming is growing fast and is becoming quite profitable in Canada. The main difference is that a GMO farmer HAS to buy GMO seed - whatever the price AND they have to buy particular chemicals for the crop to grow / survive. Who has the profit anyway? Monsanto and their bedmates big Pharma (chemicals). They take most of the profit, farmers still have to work just as hard as they always did.

No reason to maintain those shackles, the lies are exposed. Hell, who knows - burning GMO might be enough to liberate A farmer from those shackles. Half the issue with the world is no one wants to change, so we keep being used and abused. Things have to change and that rarely comes easy, but it should ot be an excuse to sacrifice our children's and their children's future for.

makes you wonder, the farmers long ago , paid not to grow crops , so as to bring in the GMO'S ... create an illusion of food shortage ... fire does purge, and renew ... my concern is what effect does all those chemicals in those crops do to the air we breath ???

Well, we need to black out the black-out. If we all posted this article on many craiglist sites, and Facebook and twitter etc.etc and youtube it over and over, make it a key word search for a few days, the revolution just might happen.

Yup good point snoweagle, I thought the same thing when they discussed a loss from Japan market...But the article did make me wonder if any of the other MANY fires breaking out recently in Colorado, Arizona?...have been related to a revolt of somekind?
