Londoner Andrew Spooner, who spotted the takeaway, tweeted: 'Very bizarre Hitler Fried Chicken shop in Thailand. I kid you not. Complete with pic of Hitler in bow tie.

Alan Robertson, 43, who lives in Bangkok, said: 'The place opened last month and nobody quite knows what to make of it.
'I went in for a bite last week and got some fried chicken, which was pretty good, and asked the guy behind the counter why it was called Hitler.

'He just shrugged his shoulders and said the owners had thought it was good image.'
Cartoon pandas, Teletubbies and Ronald McDonald have all been spotted on show around the capital Bangkok.

The craze has seen more and more teenagers strutting around in T-shirts bearing cartoonish images of the Nazi dictator.

A shocking new trend has seen Bangkok flooded with cartoonish images of Hitler - including a popular design in which the dictator is merged with red-haired McDonalds mascot Ronald McDonald.

Cartoon pandas and Teletubbies are among the characters merged with Hitler in the bizarre fashion trend. The designs feature a characteristic vicious expression and variety of Nazi symbols.

Thai Shopkeepers admit that foreign tourists often complain about their Hitler kitsch merchandise - but say the t-shirts are extremely popular with young people.

In September 2011 in the northern city of Chiang Mai, a group of high school students showed up for sport day in homemade Nazi uniforms, complete with swastika armbands and toy guns.

Leading them was a teenage girl dressed in a faux SS uniform with a fake Hitler mustache.

Locals cheered the students merrily from sidewalks as foreign tourists reportedly looked on aghast.
In 2009, a waxworks museum in the seaside resort town of Pattaya advertised itself with a giant billboard featuring the Führer with the legend in Thai: 'Hitler is not dead!'
In 2007, hundreds of students at a Bangkok school staged a similar Nazi-themed costume parade.

Following international outcries, teachers at both schools apologised, saying they had no idea the students had planned to dress up as Nazis.

In my opinion this Thai-focused Nazi mania is a very unnatural occurence, especially as there is absolutely no valid reason for the Thai people to popularize an icon of evil just out of nothing.

Very strange.
But on second thought it's a part of kid's exploration to develop a fascination with the absurd.

And each society has it's taboos...and kids will experiment with no-go zones...
And then go where others consider inappropriate.

But maybe in Thailand the authorities weren't as quick as they are elsewhere to nip this movement in the bud.

I'd say that someone understands that there was an infiltration that was trying to step in.

That this is the 'counter move' to that infiltration. That this is the counter move that is the creation of the rejection of that infiltration. Understand that Thailand is a constitutional monarchy.

Which puts it not all that far off from pre-WWI Europe, in it's deeper relations between the government and the people.

That the place to infiltrate is in the monarchy, and this is the counter-move to kill fascism as supported by the monarchy, before it gains too deep a hold.

Or, this is the move by the infiltration of the monarchy to establish the inevitable push by the monarchy into fascism, by the threat of freedom from the monarchy - coming closer.

It is black or white, one or the other. It is not natural. This was put in play by someone.

How does history education in Thailand portray Hitler and Natzi's? They can do as they wish, but do they know what they are playing with? One response is that it is all about money.

You do see more than I do, Carmody. Layers, layers.
I guess I'm a bit naive.
Whatever or whoever is behind it....
Kid culture has a way of outwitting all those old boys clubs schemes,
and this one to me looks more humorous than anything else.

When they stomped on the hippy movement of the sixties and seventies, and created the neo cons,
they were quite successful.
But now it's too late...change is happening too fast for anyone to control outcome, or see where it all originates.

Looking forward to a free and buzzing civilization, without warfare, torture, hunger, and want.

There is prolly nothing in it..

I mean, this is a place where ANYTHING happens. This might seem extreme but believe me this is nothing compares to what goes on there. Next door you might find a prostate massage center or a snide football T-shirt shop. The other side you'll prolly find a knuckle duster display next to stupid gadgets or copy DVD's. Get used to it- This is the crazy side of Thailand.

The fast changes we are seeing is the direct result of the interference from natural design and natural flow. A society or group of evolving beings does not whipsaw its self about, and move all over the map.

But it does, when it is interfered with. Interfered with by the desires and aims of a small clique.

when the overall mass of people finally understand the level of interference, and how much they are off course, there won't even be a dimensional space that this small clique will be able to hide in.

They will be found and they will be ground into inter-dimensional dust. Very neutral dust.

Years ago I was in an email group started by a writer in England. We talked about many esoteric subjects. It was quite a good group with some very knowledgeable people involved. One day the leader of the group said someone wanted to join who appeared to have a lot of information. We all said yes but we were all wondering who this new guy was and, in particular, what he was. (He said he was a monk living in isolation somewhere in France but we were suspicious of him). Anyway, it didn't take this new guy very long to start becoming very abusive. He did seem to know a great deal about the subjects we were talking about but he was, at the same time, such a strange person we didn't know what his agenda was. The next morning, we got a message from the leader of the group saying the guy had become so abusive and threatening that the leader kicked him from the group. The next morning, pictures of naked men having sex with each other showed up on the website of the group leader. Following that, everyone's email service disappeared. The only way I could communicate with the leader of the group was an email on the website. He got his webmaster to try to fix the problem. I had someone come to try to get my email service back and ultimately everything was restored to normal again. After that, I asked the leader of the group why that strange guy would do all that because our group wasn't bothering anyone, we were just talking and exchanging information. He said there are some people in the world who hate this exchange of information between people. I couldn't understand it. However, it did remind me of George Bush saying "they hate us for our freedoms". His purpose of may have been to try to convince people that the rest of the world hates America because it was supposedly free. But I always wondered if he wasn't talking about someone else...someone or a group of someones who are quite real.

We all know that the corporations are involved in much of the manipulation that goes on in the world for their own profit and some people would say they are the No. 1 manipulators. But there seem to be others whose motives are based on some unthinkable ideology and hatred. I believe what was said at the Nurembuerg hearings that the corporations were the real perpetrators of the Halocaust. But then, I think, perhaps their are others whose ideology is so incomprehensible that no one would believe it exists.

Then, there are the normal, very healthy, right thinking people who want to stop America. At one time and still today, there are people who could not imagine the point of view of much the world toward America..and, least of all, that this point of view could ever be justifiable. This is the point where events become confusing and people become easy to manipulate.

Yesterday I happened to meet a very nice soft spoken man who said he was from Pakistan. He didn't look exactly like people from Pakistan that I know so I asked him his ethnic background was. "Pashtoon" he said very proudly.."you know, the ones who are fighting America". Then he asked me where I had travelled in my life and whether I had ever seen how other people live. I said I usually travelled to Europe but I'd been to Mexico. He said "then you know some of it".

I think its weird, movement/countermovement, bringing something to the limelight, whatever, the second a chain of Pol Pots fish and chips restaurant opens in Downtown London the world will be ablaze, I think its disgusting, no matter what the real truth about the 2th world war is or who the real perps were.

Thailand is such an awesome place ! no rules , no police and absolute khaos in a place where 99% of people are just happy to be alive.

If you get caught out by the local pranksters then you should have kept your eyes open.

Local police pull you over ? meh give them 15 baht and keep driving : 0 )

Thats how it should be , no rules ,no control and absolutely no security.

When i was there last you could not wipe the smile off my face , on my moped , tearing around the streets at sonic speeds of 40 kph ! no traffic lights , no hold ups , no rules , no cameras spying on you , cost of living is so cheap !

a 1 litre bottle of heiniken was 90 cents ! compared to $12 here ! Restaurant meal for 4 people including wine , fresh sea food , deserts , entrees ..the whole box and dice ! $24 ! thank you !

and now the thai people show their tongue in cheek attitude to authority by making them out to be the joke that they are and i fully embrace such things .. such a harmless parody charachterising the control mechanists as hopeless and obvious self servers.

All hail Thailand !

I bet the Thai will not be amused the second a t shirt apears with on it a picture of the Hitler teletubbie humping the King, I bet they will find your corpse in a landfill. They may be smiling a lot but they are no pussies, our perception of these people just might be a little bit skewed, dont get me wrong here, I am no saint, I am also not blind.

when i think of Thailand I always think of the child being sold by their parents to be prostitutes, and the children being abused by westerners pedophiles who cannot do it at home because they are afraid to be caught. There is definitely a sordid side to lawlessness.

Nanoo Nanoo
10th July 2013, 18:30
I respect what you say Flash but i think we would most definitely have a hard time to find someone that does not have a healthy mind to follow any law. SO if the law exists or not the ones who perpetrate these sorts of things will just do it regardless. I think if you want to look at child prostitution have a look at the USA and Canada who lead the world in child abduction cases. Some 700,00 children a year in the USA go missing every year .. thats a lot , im not sure of the accuracy of this number but the informant may have some cred.
