I'll start with my favorite quote fom the New Testament: " A new command I give you. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. "John 13:34

Ahh, feeling the love of God rise up within me right now for no real reason at all, I'm just feeling it. Normally, I would admire the quote above from a far, it certainly is a beautiful quote, but I just don't love to that degree. How can we ever be on par with the love of Jesus? I've always had the same problem with the golden rule, I don't love myself so loving my neighbor as myself would in fact be a disservice to my neighbor.

However, right now I do feel that I share in the perfect love of God for all and that this love is within me just waiting to rise. Has anyone else felt this randomly, without meditation, prayer or drugs? I'll feel this way a few times a year for an hour or so for no apparent reason.

Anyways, just felt the need to share :o

Yup. On occasion I think we sort of stop living in the world duality. (That we are separate from everything else "out there"). Once in a while we happen to fall into a state of just "being". Feels good, doesn't it. I think that whatever this feeling is, it's just the tip of the iceberg. The power is beyond immense. Maybe someday that will become our natural state.

Why do you feel it won't last? You can stay at this level and even go higher.

Enjoy!

I think one of the things we suffer as human beings is the abstract, the unseen.

So much of what makes us human is stuff we can't objectively explain or even explore without experiencing it.

Prayer, meaningful speech, wholesome thoughts, good deeds -- these things require faith to sustain, because they are invisible and the results often invisible.

One of the things in the Bible that mystifies me most is this: "No man at any time has seen God". "The invisible God".
The biggest frustration of being human and being subject to this universe we inhabit.
We can't see the things from which we derive comfort. We can only hope to catch glimpses of God by studying his effects on our world.

No one feels very miraculous in America, or the modern globalist society. But the truth is, we are conditioned to believe and behave according to social norms, what we take from the outside and put on the inside. The truth is, God speaks inside you. He isn't just something you read about or hear about from other people.

Sometimes it is very hard to know when God is speaking to you. But if you feel that connection, be grateful.
Use that energy to better your life and the lives of others.

"Greater love hath no man than he who lays down his life for his friend".

Be a friend to yourself, and a friend to God by giving of yourself.

You are God's reflection in the material world. Reflect that Godliness back and be rewarded.

And when you feel down, feel worthless, or maybe even like an animal,
remind yourself that you *"stand in the sacred human presence" because you are aware of God.

Well, it's gone already, but it was quite the experience, I haven't felt that sort of love in quite a while, just pure bliss. On a side note its appearance has become undetectable as of now because I have reenteted the world of stress.

At least I can meditate on this feeling later in hopes to reconnect with it.

love others when you don't feel it, a conscious choice ...especially those who take advantage of you , then when you feel it, it has awesome power , and you start to move mountains , and a whole new world opens ...

Maybe it misses you as much as you miss it.
Or maybe it is always there in your child.

Funny you say that, I started to feel it deeply when I started playing with my son yesterday and then it just swelled and swelled and swelled until all I felt was love. I never knew unconditional love until I became a dad. Which makes me know our creator must feel that for all of us, we just aren't in tune with it very often.

Wow Tesla.. you continue to grow in my esteem, as you never fail to impress me with your insight about what is fundamental to your/our experience as human beings.

There is something rare and undeniable about your understandings that will have me jump to your posts whenever I see them here..

What a funny thing. The total opposite happened to me I came down with awful strong emotions for the unfair treatment of humanity by those harming us.. I could not stop the tears flowing for a good hour.. finally fell asleep exhausted.
I cried for all people hurt in the wake of terrible things been done such as 9/11 it hurt me too so I guess I was shedding it for all of us. It has been awhile because I have been emotionally stunted for some time..
I hope you feel yours more often justintime

Practice, practice, practice -- do the things you love, then spread that love -- love is an energy source - a "current". If you stop he flow out you stop the flow in and vice versa.

I've been there for an extended period, and that is where you see slef change and abilities begin to open up, but I fear I have lost the flow these days ... Congrats and try to keep the flow going, keep the love "muscle" in shape. :)
