In modern society is there any way of being "unplugged" from the system? We are all subjected to propaganda, being manipulated by the state and society, indoctrinated into believing there are limitations of what is or is not. We are conditioned to except the need for bits of paper, and one object or another has value.

All of the above effect our perceptions of who we are and our purpose in life and the way we act. Yet a few of us can see out of the box, and stand back and see that we are indeed being controlled, not just by the state but by our selves and others who have been indoctrinated.

Hmmm, good question, one I have thought about myself. I think we just need to know what we want and need out of life to truly be happy. Once we identify what our truths are all we have to do is focus on them and ignore everything else. The propaganda(conditioning machine) relies on willing participants to be conditioned. We don't have to turn on our televisions, or go to the fear/sex based websites out there on the net. We don't have to surround ourselves with friends who are repeaters of the party line. If we want to its pretty easy to ignore our wanna be conditioners we just have to make that choice. True happiness can not be found out there.

Discover your own truths, discover your own happiness and focus on that above all else.

I am unplugging and I can tell you it is a slow process.

For me the first start was moving to a rural location and disconnecting from the grid (well mostly, I am still on the internet, ergo: still need money).

everyone is under some sort of mind control on some level... what I like to do to feel unplugged is , take a different route to work, seeing if I'm thinking for myself or just accepting the matrix... if the world shops in the morning, I go in the evening... anything I do , I want to ask myself is this me or the system influencing me ??? pretty much anything the masses do , I try and do the opposite or do it on my schedule, when I want to, not when they think I should ... it may sound simple but the changing route to work or home from work was hard to do for the first week ... it taught me how easy the matrix can trap you in a routine ... I got my co-workers to try the route change , they came to work the next day laughing , saying I was going to try it and before I knew it , it was too late ... a real eye opener, made them wonder what else they do without considering it ...whatever it is, just make sure it's your choice ...

What system are you really talking about? As there has been a system in place since our inception.

I refer to the current system, which has been amalgamated from a number of different events and experiences and groups of individuals, for the purpose of control. For without control, so some believe, an organized society cannot exist.

There are degrees of plugging in/out: Eat fresh food, wear no name clothes, Music from youtube and legal mp3 sites, News from Twitter and Forums, money through Paypal and Dwolla, or selling stuff on ebay.

The negative grid is going down, but we've set up our own positive networks. They overlap, that's the way it is in transitions.

We're social beings. I wouldn't worry about wanting to link up with others.

Maybe view it as "Unplugging from the System" and learning to reconnect with humanity and natural environment as it is true, we are social creatures and we also work better together than solo (hence why humans formed tribes/clans etc)
