Starts this fall at the TSA facility near you!

Last revision July 19th, 2013

Requirements: Valid ID, your fingerprints (scanned at TSA facility), U.S. passport not required ;)
Wait time: 2-3 weeks.
Valid: 5 years.
Cost: $85

There are two other such programs active currently: CBP Trusted Traveler Program (http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/trusted_traveler/) and Global Entry (http://www.globalentry.gov/)

TSA reserves the right to random check you anyway...

I wondered when money was going to get involved. Will this be one of those things where the rich will be able to buy their way out of the groping and exposure to radiation? Let's get rid of the TSA, then flying will be better for all....

This reminds me of when I bought a device for about 50 dollars and within a year it broke. Brought it back for repair within warranty and they said case fell outside of warranty and it would cost me a 100 dollars for them to fix it for me.

I said no of course not, I only paid 50 dollars for this thing. Get outta here.
Okay fine, you can have it back unrepaired for 40 dollars then.
