I refuzed to wear sunscreen last xmas, when out at the beach for that reason.

I got a nasty burn, and peeled for a week. Was only out and about for an hour. I'm fine, no skin cancers or anything, my skin was probably clearer after the skin stopped peeling for a bit (i have bad eczema so my skin's allways agitated, with sores and rashes :( )

I definately dont beleive that getting a sunburn now and then is going to give you skin cancer, and that every time you are out in the sun you should put that stuff on. Wish i knew a way to... farmiluarise? myself with the sun? Very pale skin, and have worked alot of nightshift and generally keep out so i burn easy becuase of that.

Kimberley, please do post a thread on this, I would be really interested to read more...

Incidentally, if anyone can recommend a natural sunscreen for children I would be extremely grateful. One of my children suffers every summer with horrendous skin flare ups and eczema immediately after using sun-cream.
So i'm faced with the dilemma of apply this poison, keep him out the sun or him get sunburn :(
