Interesting read this morning, although I wish there was more information. I'll add if I find it in my search. ;)

Sounds intresting, but I really did not understand what is all the fuzz about? :D

Yeah, that's why I wish there was more information. Apparently, they want to keep it on the low-down until they learn more, but from what I read, if things work out, they'll have to form a new model of physics.

New physics has been around a long time - they just haven't let it out of the box. I used to correspond with a theoretical physicist who left academia in disgust. He said the department heads were usually the worst and most unimaginative physicists since the best ones wanted to do physics, not sit in an office as an administrator. But that meant they promoted or destroyed careers since they gave the grants and assignments. Young physicists with radical ideas know better than to talk too loud about them or they'll be on the career off-ramp. It's unfortunate, but Thomas Kunh noted the same thing in "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions." Basically, the old scientists have to die off so they can stop smothering new ideas.
The new ideas are already out there. What they mean is they need to find experimental proof of the failure of present theories, in order to escape their stranglehold. Finding enough proof means they can tell the doddering old department heads to go fly a kite. That's institutional, by the way. Everything from government to corporations has the same problem. Although with government you have to add the corruption of revolving-door jobs - I think the FDA is the worst example of that, since they are led around by the nose by Monsanto and the drug industry.

Cybervigilante, thanks for the info. As for the FDA and Monsanto, I definitely agree! Didn't know about the rest, so appreciate that!
