I keep hearing over and over, complaints of unexplained symptoms. More and more people are experiencing these things in epidemic proportions. I stumbled across this site while searching for something else, and low and behold, I have every one of the symptoms listed, as do many many others.

I also have no idea whether or not I have a smart meter. But I intend to find out. Also, I want to add, that these specific symptoms are common symptoms of many other disorders, especially when it comes to the endocrine system, but are the smart meters disrupting out endocrine systems in the first place? Which came first the illness or the meter?? Also this map i found interesting, and in one of the less than 25% states, so I am curious to find out what type of meter is associated with my residence.

For some reason I cannot attach the map so I will include the link to that as well.
http://dqbasmyouzti2.cloudfront.net/content/images/articles/Smart_Meter_Penetration.png

here is the Coalition against Smart Metesr website- and symptoms listed associated with.

http://nhagainstsmartmeters.org/2012/08/what-are-the-health-symptoms-experienced-with-smart-meter-exposure/

Here is a portion of the article with regards to symptoms.

It seems that 5%-10% of the populations may immediately experience mild to severe symptoms within days of the SmartMeter installations.

List of Common Symptoms:

Sleep Problems:

Sleep disorders are the most common symptom reported. This includes insomnia or the inability to go into deep sleep. Many people report that their sleep problems began the night the SmartMeters were installed in their neighborhood.

Headaches:

Many people experience mild to severe headaches when they are in the presence of SmartMeters. Mn ay people have reported that as soon as they left their home on vacation, their headaches vanish. But upon returning to their home or SmartMeter installed area, the headaches come back immediately.

Ringing in the ears

Confusion or difficulty concentrating

Fatigue

Increased stress and agitation

Heart palpitations

Tingling sensations thought the body

Difficulty breathing or heaviness in the chest and lungs

There are many other symptoms that have been reported, but the above list are the most common. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, you should see if their onset began around the same time SmartMeters were installed in your area.

Also , Here is a link to the Declassified US Army document explaining the use of these type of meters/energies/and frequencies as weapons of various sorts. It is long but worth reading.

The list of symptoms is so broad I expect a significant number of readers here will have some of them - I know I do and I don't even have a smart meter!

So, does anyone here know how a smart meter works? Or how it can have an effect on the body? How do you know the symptoms are not caused by the electromagnetic radiation (assuming it makes some people ill) from phones, microwaves, wifi, wi-max, the local oscillator from your radio or TV, AC mains fields, airport radar, your cordless phone, dimmer switches or your imagination?

Why pick on smart meters? For the same reason mobile/cell phones supposedly make some people ill I suppose? And what do they have in common?

Perhaps I'm just lucky, but I and dozens of my colleagues have worked in radio-frequency 'radiation' fields all our working lives which are hundreds if not thousands of times more intense than the general public are exposed to; none of us have had any ill effects.

Are these symptoms 'media driven' by unqualified journalists who don't know what they are talking about?

You are right, this symptom list, could mean absolutely anything, but according to the coalition against smart meters, the smart meter CAN cause this type of symptom manifestation in the human body.
And because Avalon is full of intelligent people, I thought maybe by digging into this here, we might be able to separate the wheat from the chaff.
These symptoms have also been connected with other environmental disturbances such as HAARP, (and chemtrails, with relation to the breathing problems), ELF,EMP, cell phones, anything wireless, the list goes on and on.

Some of the patients mentioned on the site, made the connection, because they knew their symptoms showed up exactly when the smart meters were installed, and they found that impossible to ignore at that point.

The fact is, (was anyway), that you do have the legal right to deny the installation on your residence (if you own it). But can you be affected by a smart meter that is on your neighbors house?

It is getting to the point that it is a constant battle of energies that we deal with daily, unless we have the luxury of living in the middle of nowhere, which the majority of us do not.

The list of symptoms isn't broad to me, it's spot on; no more no less than what i experienced when living in a high rise building on the top floor.
I didn't know what caused these exact symptoms as Sidney describes in the OP, until after some time i noticed a large mobile phone mast on the roof app. 15 meters from my quarters.
After consulting with the owner, who investigated the possible causes of my almost going into vegetative state(not quite but it feels like it!) and could not find anything, i got an appartment on the 2nd floor and guess what... first night i sleep like a ox, after three weeks all symptoms are gone.

It's the radiation during the night when you sleep that kills you.

*the mast had 900mHz, 1800mHz and 2.3 gigaHerz transmitters.

Just realized that it might be the reason I felt so bad when leaving at the top of a building on the only mountain in Montreal. That year was so bad that we moved away from there. Had never thought it might have been EMF pollution.

Cell towers on the top of a building is a REAL problem. incredibly unhealthy.

If they appear on your building, GET OUT.

FYI, it is illegal to put those cell towers near a preschool or elementary school, in what was it..Germany? It is fully recognized that they are unhealthy, in that country, IIRC. At least for developing children....but not the rest of the population, of course. Right, right, sure thing....

Like people who have a tolerance or intolerance of certain foods, just because yourself and people you know work in that kind of enviroment with no illeffect does not mean nothing is happening or it's not doing anyone harm.

Along with other things such as chemicals, preservatives and GMO that are directly tied in to mass profits and infastructure - do you really think that they would tell you it's bad for you and do a rollback/change? Or keep pushing it and going forward becuase of the income?

The same thing works for free energy - currently we'll never see it because they cant charge for it, and burning nuculear fuel (which can be done safely without dangerous radiation if they used Tungsten instead of Uranium i might add) provides them with materials to create weapons.

What we are seeing with people suffering effects from EM polltion are the equivilant of Canairy's in a Coal Mine. The difference is they're not going to stop when they get sick or die, they'll keep pushing in that direction as long as there are mass profits to be made. As the people making these decisions dont have to deal with the effects of what they do, why should they care? Be ignorant and keep giving them money!

Cell towers on the top of a building is a REAL problem. incredibly unhealthy.

Point of fact: The energy under a cellphone tower is very low. The energy is beamed horizontally. There is no point the designers wasting power beaming it down towards the ground. Therefore if you consider them to be dangerous, actually standing directly under one would be safe, as would putting them on the top of buildings.

Why didn't people start complaining about getting these vague symptoms when TV transmitters started operating throughout the world? Many of them operate on similar frequencies...

The last appartment i lived in i could not sleep at night because of the smart meter in the fuse box which was 2,5 meter from my bed. When i switched bedroom with my roomie i slept much better.
The last years I've become increasingly sensitive to EMF. I had to move from my city a couple of months ago. The Emf pollution in the city is crazy. Now that everybody use 3g 4g and wifi all over the place. Was stressful just to take the bus or sit at a restaurant. Can not use the library anymore. buhu.
Here is a informative video about smart meters.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLeCTaSG2-U

Installing smart meter in someones house is a crime. it is a new type of surveilance and they can shut off the power of the house remotely.
watch the video.

When i am close to a transmitter i can feel the frequencys affecting my physical body(and energy body). Even if it is just a small iphone. The longer I am in a radiation zone the worse i feel. This is very subtle energies, not all people have their focus on the body and that might be one of the reasons they dont feel the energies. Imagination ? yes, that is what my new doctor tells me. It is a shame that the doctors have this view on the human body that is rather like a Lego brick(or a mechanical clock) when it is the most sensitive nerve system that is constantly communicating with the body and the enviroment.
One other thing, the transmitters i have measured is sending frequencies 360 degrees. this is not cell phone tower, but indoor and outdoor wifi. Even if its design looks like is sending in one direction. Never seen shielding on transmitters. Nick, What metal is best for shielding? do you know ?
What if the real experts are the emf sensitives.? because this is real.
The un-seen mind control.
Who knows what frequencies they are beeming at us ?
I know one thing, Apple products are the worst. Taking a bite of that Torus ;)

Never seen shielding on transmitters. Nick, What metal is best for shielding? do you know ?

Yes, I do know:

It's the antenna that radiates the signal, the transmitter generates it. There is rarely "shielding" on an antenna. There are rare cases where the energy from one antenna on a mast may interfere with other equipment on that mast, so metal shielding is sometimes used, but not often because it affects the radiation pattern the engineers want for the antenna. This is done by antenna design - various rods and beams coming from the antenna beaming the signal into a particular direction(s).

If you really can tell when you are in an radio frequency (RF) field, you should make yourself known to labs working in this area. They would like to know what frequencies you can perceive and the threshold at which you can perceive them. Such people are vanishingly rare and most reports I have seen do not show conclusive proof that any subject can tell whether a device is producing RF or not.

BTW, if anyone uses a mobile/cellphone but does not like the towers, please consider this: Do you want a phone pressed against your head transmitting 1 watt next to your brain as it tries on full power to reach the nearest tower miles away because no one wanted one near them, or would you prefer a 50-watt transmitter a mile way so you phone does not need to transmit much energy? Before you decide, consider the inverse-square law. That is as you double the distance you quarter the field strength. A 50 watt transmitter a mile away or 1 watt at 0 inches? It's a no-brainer!

To shield yourself from RF, all you need it aluminium foil. Don't buy those hocus-pocus 'lattice crystals' to stick on your phone or wear around your neck. They are a con; they cannot possibly soak-up RF in any meaningful way that will 'protect you', although it's proven that the placebo effect is real...

Love Clif High's solution to smart meters...essay found here: http://halfpasthuman.com/essays/smartmeters.html

It was the mention of aluminum foil that brought this to mind.

His solution?....

i noticed that the smart meters are using a glass bulb housing to protect their microwave broadcasting unit on the top of the unit.(i used to be an appliance repairman in my wasted youth and worked on the original Amana 'radar ranges' so know a bit about microwave technologies.) This bulb is quite prominent and is very easily located. Further, in the three designs that i have seen, all have the same bulb housing for their broadcast mechanism.

.........

So what i will do is to put a little 'cap' of folded aluminium foil over the broadcast bulb of the smart meter. This accomplishes three things instantly: first, it shuts off the microwaves as a source of health degrading energies in my local environment. Second, it deprives the power company of their stated benefit. They will discover the meter is not reporting and have to send someone out to remove the foil hat. Which, of course, i will instantly replace as soon as i have noticed it removed. Month after month (up to the global coastal event by June 2013) we could play this interesting game. Then, third, the foil will redirect the microwaves into the device, providing an interesting working environment for all the chippy bits inside.

.........

If you consider this aluminium foil strategy at the energy level, look at how quickly the asymmetry works to collapse their whole system. The power companies no longer have the personnel to perform manual reads of your meter. Nor to come and remove the foil off of even a small fraction of the smart meters that they intend to install. So the very small amount of energy that is required for me to make a new foil hat for the bulb each month is vastly magnified in what is required for the power companies and GUS to respond. They will be spending hundreds of $ to remove each foil hat....and that is some expensive metal.

An addendum to the article...

February 11, 2013 addendum

So in some states it is illegal to 'tamper' with the power companies electrical equipment. This is why some people with more guts than brains are using electrical energy in the form of microwaves (from activation tubes removed from microwave ovens) to disable the devices...no law against it (apparently). But in those states where it is illegal, it would not be advisable to violate this law. There are actually other ways of intruding on these devices.

First, note that concern about backscatter microwave radiation is quite real. Solid steel or many layers of thick, commerical cooking foil would be needed on the inside wall where the smart meter is installed (unless wall is exceptionally thick). This will go a long ways toward protecting the inside from the microwave exposure. Second note that microwaves are funny little critters that are designed to go through, or around most anything. But there is the catch...like superman, microwaves have a couple of types of kryptonite.

Many low cost, household items such as 'silvered mirrors', can be employed as reflective surfaces should the home owner desire to protect their valuable shubbery from microwave exposure by these ill considered devices.

Further, microwaves have an affinity for, and are absorbed by, water. Thus you risk as a bag of mostly water walking around in these microwaves. So....big bags of water, place strategically to water plants, or ????? have been known to disrupt microwave signals. Or bird houses, also foil lined to protect the poor little birdies, make a great decoration.

Also it may help to ground the tin foil in some meter designs by runninig a strip of it over to a convenient ground. But note that the National Building Codes can be used against you then as there are rules about what, and how many grounds may be established on a property.

Yes, seriously. For non-ionizing radiation, you only need a thin conducting material to act as a screen. On some computer equipment the plastic cases were just sprayed with cheap conductive paint. This was only to prevent the electronics from causing interference to near-by radios and TVs, nothing to do with health.

If you want to protect electronic equipment from EMP, then just wrap it in aluminium foil or put it in a metal biscuit tin. Or you could spend $$$ or £££ on fancy EMP bags. What they don't tell you is that any EMP powerful enough to damage unprotected phones and radios will of course have knocked out the mains supply and all the telecommunications infrastructure, so your protected radios, phones or ipads will be ****all use to you!

BTW, I expect any new smart meter will be so designed that screening its RF components will be much more difficult than just putting a foil cap on the antenna. They'll have thought of that by now. And if not, any inability to read your appliances us will probably result in a very high electricity bill along the lines of: "If you think you're being clever by preventing us from knowing what appliances you are using, we'll assume you have everything switched on all the time and bill you accordingly. So don't **** with us"

It's hard to tell what's causing all these symptoms at this time. All of them or something else completely....

It is important to understand that FCC rules and regulations state that the smart meter with it's radio transmission, MUST accept any interference that may come along and must accept any interference that may break it from it's intended function.

It is written right on the side of the meter. Go take a look yourself.

It is possible to jam it and interfere in it's transmission of data, until they come and take it off the wall of the house, and replace it with an non radio transmission type.

All they had to do, to make the meter far more acceptable, is to make it so it does a burst transmission of data, once a day. This would have been far more acceptable. Instead, they made them so they transmit all the time, which is utterly ridiculous and toxic.

I went to a super-solider conference in Las Vegas, NV recently and met a really interesting group of people associated with Holidum Labs

http://holidiumlabs.org/
http://theholotree.com/

I don't work for them but I found their products to be very interesting, anyway I was discussing with one of the founders of Holidium Labs (his name is Thunder, funny coincidence since the street I live on is named Thunder Twice) the dangers of RF radiation and he suddenly told me after asking if I had a digital meter and after pulling me behind a plastic-rubber advertising curtain in a hushed whisper, "Take a mirror on the inside wall of your house, measure on the outside of the house the height of your smart meter and then place the reflective side of the mirror towards the meter." I have done exactly that, my meter inside wall happens to be inside the garage and so I'm spared the question, 'why is that mirror hanging backwards on your wall?'. I didn't notice a sudden ability to achieve deep sleep or have any of the other symptoms disappear but I've worked within telecommunication's my entire life and so may not have the 'sickness' issues reported, its like anything else you can build up a tolerance to it depending on your disposition and or body type, with that being said I still have the mirror up and its a inexpensive way to immediately provide your personal space a little protection, the theory being it forces the RF bursts away from your castle and toward the ambient air, a cheap RF shield.

Smart meters most definitely emit damaging radiation. I am extremely sensitive to these things and almost cannot function when one is in the vicinity.

You can find the base collector emitters in your area , usually on a corner and are buried about 2 foot under ground. You can use an RF reader unit to pin point the unit. When you locate it you will find a small man hole the size anywhere froma tennis ball to a full sized man hole ( an iron trap door ) . You can incapacitate the unit by placing heavy steel plates over it which will lessen the emission or you can pour drano into the man hole ( 500 grams to 1 kg is sufficient ) then pour warm water ( 500 ml is sufficient ) then get a can of expanding foam and seal in the hole , un load half a can in the man hole to seal it up. The acid will take about 2 days to take effect but it will eat all the wiring and incapacitate the unit quite permanently.

These things are severe health risks and in the sake of survival and good health you should take them out at every opportunity. I hasten to mention this could be considered illegal activity.

Have a wonderful day

A cross-post from another thread, An Update On Our Evolution (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?58865-An-Update-On-Our-Evolution-by-Chris-Thomas&p=670207&viewfull=1#post670207) by Chris Thomas

According to Chris Thomas, the Annunaki (i.e.Velon) are behind the implementation of the UN's Agenda 21. The Annunaki (yes - it includes the Zecharia Sitchin variety) have recently been expelled from Earth, only a very few remain tucked away in various hide-aways. But the power elite human minions are the ones that are still moving with the implementation of their agenda.

According to Chris Thomas, the human beings here on the planet are close to complete soul reintegration process. The Annunaki have known about this, and have implemented a number of programs (through human power elite & influential individuals) to prevent this from happening. Chemtrails, GMO foods, Microwave cooked foods (http://www.health-science.com/microwave_hazards.html), vaccine & pharmaceutical industry, fluoride in drinking water and, yes, through Wifi & smart meter implementation program. Smart meters - to have one in every household on the planet - is the plan, so the microwave energy will interfere with your complete soul reintegration process. Smart Meters are just the tip of the iceberg, imo.

Chris Thomas wrote:

Wi-Fi
Everybody seems to love their Wi-Fi. No trailing cables around the house, access to “hot spots” means that you can watch your favourite soap on your tablet computer whilst on the move. Virtually every street in every town and city in the western world is now Wi-Fi saturated.

But what is Wi-Fi?

The frequencies used to transmit Wi-Fi fall into the range known as microwaves – that's right, the same as the oven in your kitchen. The history of microwave use is this:
If you are an old codger like me, you will be able to remember the introduction of microwave ovens in the 1970's. Fast food was becoming fashionable and cafes and sandwich bars needed a means of heating food quickly. Microwaves, as a possible means of instant heating had only just been discovered but there were extreme doubts expressed, by scientists, of the safety of using microwaves. When they were finally introduced, the first microwave ovens were huge stainless steel boxes with about two centimetres of lead lining. The lead lining was necessary to protect the user from the “harmful microwave radiation”. Those fast food outlets who bought microwave ovens were required by law to have staff specially trained in the use of the oven and had to wear lead-lined aprons (the same as those used in hospital X- ray departments) to protect them from becoming sterile from the microwave radiation.

Think how unprotected you are when you use your microwave oven in your kitchen given current ovens have virtually no protective insulation. Becoming sterile was not the only problem. A full-scale study carried out at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and the University Institute for Biochemistry by Drs Hans Hertel and Bernard H Blanc published in 1992, showed very clearly that eating foods cooked in a microwave oven created major changes in the body‟s biochemistry, particularly to the blood, causing the creation of cancer forming substances. Publication of their report was banned by the Swiss courts at the request of the Swiss FEA. Fortunately, the doctors pursued their case all the way through to the Court of Human Rights and the publication ban was lifted in 1988. However, no newspapers or TV stations reported on the doctors‟ study – another level of ban – despite the court ruling that:

“This decision is to put an end to judicial censorship of persons drawing attention to the health hazards of certain products.”

If any other product used with food preparation or heating was shown to have similar devastating effects on the body, it would either have been banned or be required to have a prominent health warning attached to it. So why not microwave ovens? Well, that is to do with what else microwaves are used for and who wants them to be used in that way.

The next stage of development of using microwaves was with mobile or cell phones. A huge percentage of people in the western world now use mobile phones several times a day. Whilst “official” studies carried out by the phone companies give the use of mobiles a clean bill of health, independent studies show a very different picture.

Mobile phones work by phone masts permanently emitting microwave frequencies that the phone can pick up and use to make phone calls. The emissions from the masts have been shown to kill bees, kill other insects and birds and give trees the equivalent of cancer. In humans, in putting the ear piece to your ear concentrates the microwave frequencies into the ear causing localised heating of the inner ear and the nerve cells that connect the ear to the brain. These types of nerve cells are called “glial cells” and are present in huge numbers within the brain.

The result of this localised heating is that the glial cells become cancerous. Hands-free sets for mobile phones make the situation very much worse as they concentrate the microwave frequencies in the ear to an even greater extent. The group most affected by this kind of inner ear heating is children as their bodies are still building. The incidence of cancer of these types of glial cells has risen astronomically in the past ten years.

Then we come to Wi-Fi and a whole new set of microwave-generated health problems.

In a study by Dr Andrew Goldsworthy published in 2012, he points out the effects that long-term exposure to microwave frequencies can have on the body, particularly mobile phones and Wi-Fi.

Dr Goldsworthy's study points out that these types of frequencies cause damage to the body's cells that are not caused by heating (as in the cell phone damage). He points out that we are currently exposed to about one million billion billion (one followed by eighteen zeros) times more man-made microwaves than our natural exposure.

The main effects of this level of exposure are that the body's cells begin to break down. That isn't just glial cells but all cells of the body leading to many different physiological symptoms including cancer.

Fortunately, not everyone is susceptible to this type of damage but a very high percentage of the population is. There is a reason for this that comes from my own research into the body cells' structure and how the cell's structural integrity is maintained. This is to do with the body's cholesterol levels. Contrary to common propaganda, there is only one type of cholesterol and that is manufactured by the liver. The liver produces cholesterol twenty four hours per day, three hundred and sixty five days a year without using any saturated fats whatsoever in the production process. Cholesterol has very many uses within the body to keep many of the body's processes working properly. One of these useful jobs is the maintaining of the structural integrity of all of the body's cells.

Our microwave-saturated (Wi-Fi, mobile phones, cordless phones and microwave ovens) environment has a very damaging effect on the cells of the body. If your cholesterol levels are as the body wants them to be, the body's cells can fight off the potential damage from microwaves. But if you are on cholesterol lowering drugs, the time it takes to damage the body's cells reduces considerably.

This probably accounts for Dr Goldsworthy's findings that some people are seemingly unaffected by these frequencies. However, it seems as though it is only a matter of time, particularly as the use of Wi-Fi appliances is set to increase astronomically with the enforced introduction of “smart meters”.

Smart meters are electricity meters that have a Wi-Fi antenna that transmits your electricity usage to your supplier twenty four hours per day. They are being introduced for one reason only – the removal, in the near future, of the currency-based economy (banknotes) to a financial system based on carbon usage.

The plan is that you are “given” a certain number of carbon credits, dependent upon your financial status, which allow you to purchase goods or services. The more electricity you use, the lower your credit rating and the lower your carbon credit. It is the introduction of this carbon-based credit economy that it the reason for the myth of global warming we discussed earlier. The idea is that those behind the NWO make us believe that global warming is man-made and then charge us a carbon tax which helps to pay for the NWO plans – this is what smart meters are the beginnings of.

If these microwave frequencies are so damaging, why are they being used at all?

Remember the aims of Agenda 21 that we talked about earlier? The aim of reducing the world‟s population down to five hundred million?
What better way to kill people than to make them believe that they are having fun using all of these microwave-driven gadgets whilst underneath it all they are slowly dying without being aware of it.

Daniel Hirsch: Radiation Exposure of Smart Meters Report is Inaccurate (http://marylandsmartmeterawareness.org/smart-meter-news/daniel-hirsch-radiation-exposure-of-smart-meters-report-is-inaccurate/)
Daniel Hirsch, lecturer and expert in nuclear policy and radiation at UCSC, criticized the California Council on Science and Technology’s (CCST) “Health Impacts of Radio Frequency from Smart Meters” report. CCST is a partner with the US Department of Energy, funder and promoter of smart meters.

Here he is on video in an impromptu interview after a lecture he gave at Stevenson College, UCSC about the crisis in Fukushima. He was asked about smart meter radiation and the ‘independent’ CCST report on the health effects of smart meters:

The draft report by the California Council on Science and Technology (CCST) does not appear to answer the questions asked of it by the requesting elected officials. Furthermore, rather than being an independent, science-based study, the CCST largely cuts and pastes estimates from a brochure by the Electric Power Research Institute, an industry group, issued some weeks earlier. The EPRI estimates appear incorrect in a number of regards. When two of the most central errors are corrected – the failure to take into account duty cycles of cell phones and microwave ovens and the failure to utilize the same units (they should compare everything in terms of average whole body exposure) the cumulative whole body exposure from a Smart Meter at 3 feet appears to be approximately two orders of magnitude higher than that of a cell phone, rather than two orders of magnitude lower.

That is exactly what I told Hydro Québec when I called, and what I told the guy installing me the old kind of meter. Well, I do not have it on my house, but all my neighbours do. So I am still bathing in a sea of EMF. I truly do not know what to do about this.. Our city borough has asked for a moratorium and the next borough as well and it has not been respected by Hydro Québec, they installed their counters anyhow.

What is the most enraging is that Hydro Québec is a government owned corporation and they are therefore installing those EMF counters with our own money and they won't even listen to the citizens requests. Pure dictatorship.
