Last week US officials said they intercepted an international conference call between
more than 20 al-Qaeda leaders where they discussed a pending attack. This intelligence
caused the US to close multiple embassies around the globe. RT's Sam Sacks has more
on the leaked information and why the White House remains silence on the topic.

The UN told RT that it's launched an investigation into the reported slaughter of Kurdish
civilians by Al-Qaeda linked groups in Syria. 450 Kurds, most of them women, children
and the elderly, were allegedly killed in the north-east of the country. The outgoing
Deputy Director of the CIA warned that the spread of extremism in Syria poses a threat
to US national security. For more analysis RT joined by Richard Becker, an anti-war
activist from the Answer Coalition.
