are a bit 'naff' but the basic storyline has some plausible elements.

Hangar 18 involves a U.F.O. cover-up following an incident aboard the space shuttle.
The orbiter is launching a satellite, which collides with an unidentified object passing
close by. The space collision kills a fellow astronaut who was in the bay at that time,
however, the entire incident is witnessed by astronauts Price and Bancroff.

Upon returning to Earth, both men slowly investigate what they know happened in
space — and which the government authorities try their best to hide. The damaged
spacecraft however, has been recovered after it is observed making a controlled landing
in the Arizona desert. Although the aliens on board die, the government technicians
begin their foray into trying to understand the extremely delicate processes which
operate the complex ship. On board the craft, the technician team makes three
discoveries. The first is an unknown woman in some sort of stasis, who later awakens in
the back of an ambulance screaming (leading moviegoers to believe she may have been
an abductee). The second is the fact that symbols found on certain control panels are
the same as symbols which reside here on Earth, albeit in ancient places. The third is
the fact that the aliens have been here before—as the team discovers some type of
surveillance footage noting power installations, military installations, and major cities
worldwide.

Meanwhile, with their persistence in trying to uncover the truth, both Bancroff and Price
are marked for death by the government. In an escape from agents, Bancroff manages
to get away, but Price is killed. All is not lost, as Bancroft finally manages to make his
way to Hangar 18 — the namesake hangar of the movie where the alien craft is being
disclosed and studied.

In an attempt to cut their losses and maintain secrecy, government agents remote
control a jet filled with explosives into the hangar—a desperate move aimed at killing off
all involved in the on site cover-up. After the explosion, an announcement is presented
in the form of a news bulletin regarding the sudden explosion of the hangar, and a
congressional hearing scheduled to hear evidence concerning the activities in Hangar 18
; it is revealed that Bancroft and the small team of scientists survived the explosion,
due to being inside the alien ship when the plane hit. They have also discovered that
the ship contains plans for the alien invasion of earth.

This is the full presentation from Travis Walton's 2011 appearance at the
International UFO Congress in Fountain Hills, Arizona.

Travis Walton claims that in 1975, while working as a logger in Arizona, he and
several co-workers came across a UFO in the forest which shot a beam of light at
Travis. Frightened, his friends fled the scene. When they returned Walton was
gone. Walton recalled waking up on the side of the road; he thought only a few
hours had past, but he had actually been missing for 5 days. He later recalled being
on the craft and the strange creatures that were there with him.

Travis Walton is the subject of the Paramount Studios movie, Fire in the Sky, based
on his book of the same name. His close encounter has become recognized as the
best documented case of alien abduction ever recorded. Mr. Walton speaks to
audiences and media around the world to share what it has been like living through
the ordeal of the experience and its aftermath. He presents the evidence for the
incident and takes wide ranging questions from the audience, which usually results

Consultant Bill Ryan, retired US Military Intelligence Officer Richard Doty, and
author Whitley Strieber all discussed Project Serpo, an alleged secret exchange
program of 12 military personnel to Serpo, a planet of Zeta Reticuli, between the
years 1965-78. Ryan explained that he is a participant in a private ufology email
forum and that in early November 2005, an "anonymous" contributor began
revealing information about the Serpo Project, which Ryan has subsequently
chronicled on his website serpo.org.

Two other sources have also come forward, and all three are supposedly retired
employees of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), said Ryan, who added there is
a total of 3,000 pages of information on the project that is being released in
installments. According to the "anonymous" source, Serpo is an Earth-sized planet
with a population of around 650,000 "ebens" (our name for the ETs).An eben who
allegedly survived the Roswell crash was said to have used a communication device
to set up the exchange. Of the 12 who went on the exchange, eight returned
(though all have since died), two died on Serpo, and two remained there. Ryan
believes the story has credibility partially because some of the physics don't add
up, and if someone was fabricating it, they would have presented more consistent
details.

Strieber shared an incident that took place at a UFO conference in Gulf Breeze,
Florida in the early 90's when an elderly gentleman told him he could prove he was
from another planet, saying only one word after that-- Serpico. He now wonders if
he misheard the word, and the man was actually saying Serpo. Doty said he was at
first skeptical of the Project Serpo information, but later heard rumors within the
intelligence community that the story is in fact true.

Bill Ryan has a BSc in Mathematics with Physics and Psychology. For the last 27
years he has been a management consultant, specializing in personal and team
development, leadership training and executive coaching. In November 2005 he
inaugurated the Project Serpo website, the report of an alleged disclosure, in
stages, of a US-alien exchange program claimed to have taken place over 40 years
ago. While he had been interested in UFOs, Free Energy research, and alternative
medicine for over thirty years, his first contact with the UFO community at large
occurred after establishing the Serpo website.

Project Serpo is the name of an alleged top-secret exchange program between the
United States government and an alien planet called Serpo. Details of the alleged
exchange program have appeared in several UFO conspiracy stories, including one
incident in 1983 in which a man identifying himself as USAF Sergeant Richard C.
Doty contacted investigative journalist Linda Moulton Howe claiming to be able to
supply her Air Force records of the exchange for her HBO documentary The ET
Factor only to pull out without providing any evidence to substantiate his story, and
one incident in 2005 when a series of emails were sent to a UFO discussion group
run by Victor Martinez claiming that the project was real. Some variations on the
conspiracy story state that the name Serpo is the nickname of the extrasolar
planet. Other versions state that it is a mispronunciation of either Serponia or Seinu
by US authorities involved in the project.

The first mention of a 'Project Serpo' was in a UFO email list maintained by
enthusiast Victor Martinez. Various versions of the conspiracy theory circulated, and
were later detailed on www.serpo.org. According to the most common
version of the story, an alien survived a crash near Roswell in the later 1940s (see
Roswell UFO incident). This alien was detained but treated well by American
military forces, contacted its home planet and eventually repatriated. The story
continues by claiming that this led to the establishment of some sort of relationship
between the American government and the people of its home world -- said to be a
planet of the binary star system Zeta Reticuli.

Zeta Reticuli has a history in ufology (including the Betty and Barney Hill abduction
and the Bob Lazar story), having been claimed as the home system of an alien race
called the Greys.

The story finally claims that twelve American military personnel visited the planet
between 1965 and 1978 and that all of the party have since died, from 'after effects
of high radiation levels from the two suns'.

One criticism of Project Serpo stems from the lack of veracity of one of its alleged
witnesses, Sergeant Richard Doty. Doty has been involved in other alleged UFO-
related activities (see Majestic 12 and Paul Bennewitz), and thus is a discredited
source. Additionally, there is no physical evidence supporting the project's
existence. According to Tim Swartz of Mysteries Magazine, Doty, who promised
evidence to Moulton Howe before backing out, has been involved in circulating
several other UFO conspiracy stories.
