A Place for Prayer

In a quest for solidary, I would like to specifically provide 'A Place for Prayer', here, on our Avalon forum where each one of us can take our liberty to post any particular prayer requests that may crop up in our lives. Whether your prayer request is specifically for yourself,....or a loved one,....or your country,.....or even the world, itself,....let this be a 'place' where we can record this particular 'prayer request' for all to see and to be cognizant of. Prayer is highly powerful when properly implicated by people who 'bind together' and care.

With the great diversity we have, here, at Avalon,....wouldn't it be great to see Jewish people praying for an Islamist's personal needs, ( and vice-versa)? Regardless to one's personal outlook,....wouldn't it be great to lay all of that aside and simply 'pray' for someone else's mother, father, sisters, or brothers, as if they were your own?

We can make a huge difference,.....'if' we try, folks!

I will even 'begin' this by asking for 'continued prayer' for my mother, whose name is Virginia. She is 75, and has just undergone a 'successful' removal of a cancerous tumor from her colon. She is to actually see her doctor, today, 8/20/13, to discuss her 'options' concerning any treatment she might need in the future. She was told that she did not have any signs of cancer in her lymph nodes, which is certainly great news! They may 'suggest' chemo treatments to her,....but I am trusting that she won't have to go that route, and continuing to rely on prayer on her behalf.

To the 'concerned', here at Avalon, we can 'all' periodically come back to this thread to check up on each others prayer concerns and witness the fruits of all of our efforts.

We 'all' know of someone, somewhere, who needs prayer, folks!

In James 4:2, it says, ( in part),.....

.....ye have not, because ye ask not

Let's not be guilty of 'not asking', my dear friends!

Your brother, friend, and servant,.......kreagle

Thank you, Kreagle, for starting this thread. I will pray for a good outcome and fast recovery for your mom. Over the years I have been a part of prayer chains that have numbered in the thousands and have personally seen, what I would call, miracles. It is part of what keeps my faith so strong and grounded.

Love to you Kreagle, my friend.

Hello Goldie,....my dear sweet sister!

Thanks for your prayers, and concerns, for I know they are well placed and will bring about a 'positive' response.

Well,.....Mama saw her doctor, ( the oncologist), today as I stated in my OP, and guess what?,.......NO CHEMOTHERAPY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED! All they've asked her to do is to have some 'follow up' visits, every 4 to 6 months!

How's that for a 'quick response' to prayer?

I want 'everyone' to know that I am 'carefully choosing my words', here, and perhaps NOT elaborating in such a Biblical overtone as I do on our thread,.....Bible Topics and Questions. I fully realize that not everyone has the same type of 'faith' that I, personally, have,....which is perfectly within their rights to do so. This is why I specifically chose the picture, ( in the OP), that I did to illustrate a 'diversity' of belief systems that can 'come together in prayer' and still produce the favorable outcome that we are all looking for. What I might refer to as a 'God' thing might be viewed as a 'Karma' thing to others,....or a higher 'Source' thing, etc. It's with this particular line of thinking that I wanted to establish this Avalon thread,.....'A Place for Prayer',......as a depository where we 'all' can place our prayers, ( in unity).

Once a 'prayer' is posted by someone,......( let's say it might be a 'prayer for the Middle East'),.....then the 'poster' might feel the need to continue this 'line of thinking' on another Avalon thread that deals with 'politics, etc.' If another poster should request for a medical healing for their father, they, equally, might like to expound upon this topic in another Avalon thread regarding 'medical concerns, etc.' If someone does have a religious slant on these 'examples' that I have just stated,....then perhaps they might like to further their prayer request on our Avalon thread,.....Bible Topics and Questions. This way 'everyone' can go in any direction that they might like to go in after they have simply posted their particular 'prayer of concern', ( whatever that might be).

Blessings to 'all',.........kreagle

Today I would like to direct a prayer for Egypt and Syria in association with all of the turmoil they have been experiencing,...as of late. May the voice of reason, ( and peace), envelop these nations in their time of dire need.

I claim it today,....in the name of Jesus Christ.

Blessings to 'all',......kreagle

Today I resubmit my prayer concerning the volatile situation in Syria. We, ( the people of this world), are being manipulated, ( as we speak), by the political 'machines' of this world, TPTB, etc. They are 'craving' a war, and seemingly 'hell-bent' on getting one.

God help us 'all'!

May He guide and protect us,.........kreagle
