Patients who heard him as he walked the halls belting out old love songs and Broadway hits started to request he sing to them. Soon, serenading the sick became part of his daily rounds, gaining him the moniker "The Singing Nurse."
There was a time in the late 80's when I found myself in a hospital for 3 months.
It was not one of the better experiences that I found myself in.
This video below reminds me of a nurse that use to come in and she would sing to herself. She had a way of making the day just a little bit brighter by the sound of her voice singing.
Thought this would be a good story to post, just so we know there is some good news once in a while here on avalon
Perhaps others can share similar experiences of being uplifted a bit due to some one singing.
