I try to stay away from subjects like this. Thoughts?

"The heart-breaking news from Fukushima just keeps getting worse…a LOT worse…it is, quite simply, an out-of-control flow of death and destruction. TEPCO is finally admitting that radiation has been leaking to the Pacific Ocean all along. and it’s NOT over…. I find myself moving between the emotions of sorrow and anger. It now appears that anywhere from 300 to possibly over 450 tons of contaminated water that contains radioactive iodone, cesium, and strontium-89 and 90, is flooding into the Pacific Ocean from the Fukushima Daichi site everyday. To give you an idea of how bad that actually is, Japanese experts estimate Fukushima’s fallout at 20-30 times as high as as the Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear bombings in 1945 There’s a lot you’re not being told. Oh, the information is out there, but you have to dig pretty deep to find it, and you won’t find it on the corporate-owned evening news.

An MSNBC article in April of 2012 reported that seals and polar bears were found to have “external maladies” that consisted of fur loss and open sores, obvious signs of radiation burns from the Fukushima meltdown, despite the conclusions of the article.
Fukushima radiation appears to be causing an epidemic of dead and starving Sea Lions in California and the FDA has refused to test for radiation
Since the summer of 2011, U.S. scientists have observed several dozen living and dead Pacific Ocean marine mammals with a strangely similar condition of skin sores and hair loss. These animals may be suffering from ‘beta burns,’ which are caused by significant external exposure to ‘beta emitters’ such as radiostrontiums, which were released in copious quantities to the Pacific Ocean at Fukushima Daiichi in 2011
.Almost a third more US West Coast newborns may face thyroid problems after Fukushima nuclear disaster
Contaminated water from Fukushima reactors could double radioactivity levels of US coastal waters in 5 years — “We were surprised at how quickly the tracer spread” "

it is no coincidence that while the leaders of the world should be united in finding a solution as fast as possible to Fukushima,
they are concerned with creating a world war 3.

I have been taking a vitamin with iodine - to protect my thyroid ever since the Fukishima disaster happened. I wanted my doctor to prescribe a dosed amount but he researched and told me too much postassium iodide would be harmful - so I settled for a vitamin I buy from the supermarket. It is called I-Folate and is directed at pregnant women.

As for the people in Fukishima who are still living in emergency centres - my heart aches for them. I know it was a psych ops. I recall in one of the very first television broadcasts there were images of a giant swirling eddy in the ocean - not far from the damaged nuclear plant. A few hours later that image was no longer being broadcast. I thought to myself earthquakes move along fault lines and similar - they don't do circular!

The cabal/illuminati/whatever that are playing with technology and have nothing but their own ego at the centre of their actions - had better prepare to reap what they have sown. All I can do is pray - wish and share positive energy and thoughts for those people and living sentient animals that are suffering as a direct result.

Don't mean to sound annoying but seriously.. blaming everything on Fukushima will certainly not stop the problem but feed it. If all unexplainable disasters gets blamed on Fukushima then it's no wonder they are dragging their feet on putting a cap on it.

Amanda,
if you are in a rural area, go to the nearest produce store, and get pharmachem "weak iodine solution", about $25 for 500ml.

"Paint" the white part of your forarms with a strip of this, and it will get absorbed through your skin. Paint your children's backs every so often similary. Not every day, every now and then.

This one has a lot of elemental iodine in it (if you put the cotton swabs in the bin, the vapours will taint the starches in paper, and make them black etc.

Cheers

A nice lead lined concrete hat should do the trick and should be very doable, concrete filled shipping containers make pretty big Lego blocks if you ask me and yet somehow its not happening and we have the tools and equipment to do this. So.........wtf ??????

I bet they can do this with concrete too, if not already being implemented somewhere else.

I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around this one.

Bringing awareness of potential--if not probable--issues caused by the leaking radioactive material is "no wonder" as to why "they are dragging their feet" on fixing it?

Can you please explain?

the reactor fuel is going into complete thermal meltdown and melting it's way through the ground, deep into the water table, and dispersing in an uncontrollable and uncontainable way. like a hot rock melting it's way through an ice block, at the same time the hot rock melts and blends, at the same time the rock is heated from within, unstoppably.

They re pumping massive amounts of cooled water upon that mass of fuel, but the water becomes contaminated and is leaking everywhere. They practically need the equivalent of a a river flow to even try and cool the thermal radiation mass.

Their adding in of the cool water is the only thing stopping the radioactive thermal mass from going off slowly like a pile of gunpowder (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0DONtQDuCk), and then sinking into the ground. First, it would be a huge cloud of radioactive mass, going of like a half failed huge bomb.... that would make like what has come before, look like a joke, and then the follow up would be a local ground, local groundwater, and overall ocean disaster... that makes what it happening now look like a joke.

since it's such an easy "catch all" and everyone thinks that anything happening in the pasific rim area is the fault of Fukushima... it's the perfect scape-goat really.

there have been wild claims with absolutely no evidence to back them up, for example:

Even though the above is completely baseless and in fact, very wrong, people will continue to draw these conclusions.

This still has a fear slant, but listen to 1:27 "Orders of magnitude lower than would be any concern to health"

So wrong conclusions by people discussing news items as they are presented is motivation for "they" to not fix the problem?

While we for us to connect any damage (presented by the media) that looks like radiation issues (of course, THEY taught us about radiation) are unreasonable for suggesting they could be from Fuku?

Well, either way, I am glad you have all the facts...please continue to point out the baseless connections and wrong conclusions. Maybe if everyone KNOWS there is little to no problem with the radiation, they will cap it, and no longer have the scape goat--which is apparently the biggest problem with the Fuku situation.

OK, then exactly what, is going on, then?

I just checked the local radiation in a day that was rain, all day. In the evening, after a day of rain, the radiation was 2x it's normal background level, via a swipe surface test, where I impregnate a paper towel that has been folded. I wipe that paper towel across about 4x feet of wet surface, and then take that folded towel and place it beneath my Soeks radiation tester, and let the levels normalize/average over a few cycles. (10 minutes)

It could be partially Radon, but the Radon tends to happen near the start of the weather pattern, not at the end of the storm.

haha, I wasn't saying I agree with what he said, I simply understood the comment; I followed his train of thought.

I don't know why it hasn't been cleaned up, probably a mix between panic with the situation and money; it's not a good situation over there right now.

it could be several things really, cosmic/solar activity (which directly effects our magnetic shielding) the duration the water vapor spent and at what altitude... I've played with testers enough to realize that levels wax and wane; about like any other cyclic pattern in the world.

what CPM's were you seeing on your gear & what type of sensor does it use (pancake, tube etc..)? 20 counts? 40 counts? even if it was 600 counts these levels are so low they are even below "Hormesis" (aka healing) levels.

I would say that correlation does not mean causation in that case anyway, since the variables are so many and the controls so few.

Also because reportedly they don't know HOW to clean it up, and/or if the proposed methods will work.
It's not the same situation as Chernobyl in many respects, especially since it's right on the shoreline, instead of inland.
I don't mean that Brown's Gas might not be part of a working solution, but that they are facing unprecedented engineering problems.

SKIBAD, are you still in Japan? Please tell us what you are hearing there. Are we being mislead? Do you feel things aren't as bad as some think. What do you really think the true situation is?

Hi Mandala, Yes I'm still in Japan. I'm hearing nothing as no one talks about it. It's not and never has been the topic of conversation that people talk about here. I have been within 30km of the plant and spoke to some people and they are simply not interested in talking about it. Spoke to a doctor who resides very near and he says that he studied all the dangers and has had no problems regarding his patients or himself.
Personally I'm not afraid but I used to be back in 2011. The aftermath effected everyone eventually, like a dark energy spreading across Japan but that has cooled down and everyone has gone about their business. It's on the news from time to time I hear, but me and the misses don't watch TV at all anymore.

And I think the fear that Fukushima spreads is far more damaging than the damaged plant. But the Japanese don't buy into fear. All I have heard are false rumors that started overseas. I don't worry about it. I walk in the rain and I eat all the food and rice and to be honest I feel fantastic. I look younger than my age and when I travel I get complimented on how fresh I look. Maybe it's a radiant glow..lol

I have just finished organizing 12 international acts to arrive in Japan in October from all over the world and non of them asked or questioned me about Fukushima. Some are bringing their children along for a month and many bringing their girlfriends.

Like I say it's simply not on my mind and I'm doing fine and I haven't heard of a single death. Remember I watched all the horrific videos that CNN released and their pathetic reporters and watched hundreds of videos from said experts saying Japan was going to sink and millions will perish from Fukushima.

All I know is that we have incredible scientists here in Japan and they have remarkable solutions to fixing Fukushima. Very simple and effective but they have been ignored.

Maybe it's meant to be. And whatever will be will be.

New articles today re Fukushima from Mike Adams and Dr. Sircus (following)
http://www.naturalnews.com/041800_Fukushima_radiation_leaks_desperation.html
More than usual of the usual sarcasm from Mike, so I will just quote some of the factual info:

(NaturalNews)
Fukushima in freefall: radioactive water filters taken offline, Tepco in desperation as leaks just won't stop

Tuesday, August 27, 2013
After a 29-month cover-up, the Tokyo Electric Power Co (Tepco) is now calling for international help and has all but admitted Fukushima's radiation leaks are spiraling out of control. In addition to the leaking water storage units that are unleashing hundreds of tons of radioactive water each day, Tepco now says 50% of its contaminated water filtration capability has been taken offline due to corrosion.

Zeolites to the rescue?
In desperation, Tepco is now trying to figure out how to stop thousands of tons of radioactive water from leaking into groundwater supplies (and ultimately into the ocean).

Those ideas, according to CTV News in Canada, include things like "freezing" the soil around the leak, creating an underground ice barrier that would require ongoing freezing, presumably for hundreds of thousands of years. You'd probably need to build another nuclear power plant to power the freeze cores, come to think of it.

Another idea, put forth by Arnie Gundersen, arguably the most sane observer in all this, involves digging a 2-meter-wide trench all the way down to bedrock, then filling the trench with zeolites which scientists now reluctantly admit trap radioactive isotopes. Note carefully that when people talk about consuming zeolites as a detox liquid, many modern-day doctors call it "quackery." But when push comes to shove, even they have to admit zeolites absorb radioactive elements. (You can't argue with the laws of physics. Zeolites work!)

Gunderson goes on to explain in that same CTV article:

The Japanese government under Abe doesn't want to admit (to the cost) because they are trying to restart a nuclear energy program and the last thing they need to do is tell the Japanese people that 'oh by the way, you're on the hook for another half trillion dollars.'

The article goes on to reveal something rather startling:

Some experts believe some of the radioactive material from the damaged core has moved into the earth. The recent spike in radiation levels in the water may therefore be coming from groundwater coming into contact with the melted cores.

And a new article from Dr. Sircus, with the focus on how fetuses and young children are impacted by radiation and other factors. With so many other factors in the mix, such as mercury, fluoride, etc. even if we can determine what isolated effect low levels of radiation might have on the young (and they are much more vulnerable), how can we know what the whole combined soup of contaminants might be doing?
http://drsircus.com/medicine/nuclear-pollution-hits-the-young-the-hardest#utm_source=Dr+Sircus+Newsletter&utm_campaign=42bb9b4eda-Article_080&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_ea98c09673-42bb9b4eda-10646942

Nuclear Pollution Hits the Young the Hardest
August 27, 2013

Nuclear Pollution Hits the Young the Hardest

Dr. Ernest J. Sternglass, who was professor of radiation physics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, in his book, Secret Fallout—Low-Level Radiation from Hiroshima to Three-Mile Island, concluded that all the research led to the most tragic conclusion that the unborn fetus was hundreds or thousands of times more sensitive to radiation than anyone had ever suspected.

We have known for a decade or more that the unborn are being exposed to the background contamination and pollution of the world and from the hazardous drugs and vaccines given to their mothers during pregnancy. Fetuses are under attack from hundreds of industrial chemicals, pollutants and pesticides that are pumped back and forth from mother to baby through umbilical cord blood. Cord blood[1] reflects what the mother passes to the baby through the placenta.

The Environmental Working Group (EWG) from Washington, D.C. commissioned laboratory tests of 10 American Red Cross cord blood samples.[2] The group found that the babies averaged 200 contaminants in their blood. The pollutants included mercury, fire retardants, pesticides and the Teflon chemical PFOA. In total, the babies’ blood had 287 chemicals, including 209 never before detected in cord blood.

There is nothing more urgent in the field of medicine then us getting a handle on the best ways to eliminate heavy metals, radiation contamination and other toxic poisons from the body. Parents who cannot be bothered, and who wait for serious symptoms and diseases to occur will have an especially hard time getting ahead of the toxicities, which at this point, are relentless.

It is now estimated that one in three children born in
2000 will have diabetes in their lives—this makes
it soon to be the most prevalent chronic disease.
Dr. Francine Kaufman
Professor of Pediatrics, Keck School of Medicine

According to a study conducted by the University of North Carolina (October 2004), 21% of women of childbearing age have mercury levels in their hair that exceeds federal health standards.[3] Under United States guidelines, 79 percent of Inuvik women of childbearing age have unsafe levels of mercury.[4] U.S. Environmental Protection Agency biochemist, Kathryn Mahaffey, who estimates that one in six pregnant women in the United States had high enough blood mercury to damage her child, for a total of 630,000 U.S. newborns at risk.[5] According to Dr. Sandra Steingraber, “The EPA has taken pains not to adopt the 630,000 figure as its official position. Calculated by EPA scientist Kathryn Mahaffey, these new estimates were published in Environmental Health Perspectives, April 2004.”[6]

It is exactly at this point where humanity is already extremely vulnerable to mercury and many other heavy metal and chemical toxicities that Fukushima blew up into everyone’s lives bringing a new dimension to the poisoning of our planet and everyone and thing on it. What little research that exists in this area has shown that chemical exposure in the womb can be dramatically more harmful than exposure later in life. In 2003, the EPA updated its cancer risk guidelines, finding that carcinogens are 10 times as potent to babies and that some chemicals are up to 65 times more powerful in children.

It was bad in the Beginning

The risks associated with iodine-131 contamination in Europe were not “negligible,” according to CRIIRAD, a French research body on radioactivity said soon after Fukushima melted down. The NGO was advising pregnant women and mothers of infants two years ago against “risky behavior,” such as consuming fresh milk or vegetables with large leaves. The French Institute for Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN), the national public institution monitoring nuclear and radiological risks, found iodine-131 in milk. In normal times, no trace of iodine-131 should be detectable in rainwater or milk.

Dr. Jeff Patterson’s, former president of Physicians for Social Responsibility is on record saying, “There is no safe level of radionuclide exposure, whether from food, water or other sources. Exposure to radionuclides, such as iodine-131 and cesium-137, increases the risk of cancer. For this reason, every effort must be taken to minimize the radionuclide content in food and water.”

The Most Vulnerable

Infants and pregnant women are most at risk. The life
period with the highest adaptability and vulnerability
to environmental factors: the period inside the womb.

Doctors Alexey V. Yablokov, Vassily B. Nesterenko, and Alexey V. Nesterenko say, “When children have the same menu as adults, they get up to five times higher (radiation) dose burdens from locally produced foodstuffs because of their lower weight and more active processes of metabolism.”

ycfhek_0rc8

In this video we had a mainstream press report from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that says death rates among babies went up 48 percent soon after Fukushima melted down.

Beijing persuaded the World Bank to cut from a report finding
that pollution has caused about 750,000 premature deaths in
China each year. The Financial Times reported saying that
“The World Bank was told that it could not publish this
information. It was too sensitive and could cause social
unrest,” one unnamed adviser told the Financial Times.[7]etc.

Ptaah and plejaren spoke about three days after the japan quake , the worst case possible has already happened , the half life of some elements will keep the radiation around for 24,000 years, then reduced by half for another 24,000 years ... even they say there is no way to remove ionising radiation , which is why they say stop using nuclear energy now ... it's only a matter of time before cosmic forces come into play and earth has no oil to repell a large meteor from moving the plates and causing major seaquakes ... news flash, oil is in the ground to soften the impact of asteroids and meteors ... it acts as a shock absorber ... our ET friends never mine from a planet they live on ...only planets with no lifeforms ... what a novel concept, don't saw the legs off the chair your sitting in ...

even they say there is no way to remove ionizing radiation ..

Ionizing radiation is ubiquitous in the environment, and comes from naturally occurring radioactive materials and cosmic rays; it's everywhere all the time.

so yes, what you say is very true, we will NEVER remove ionizing radiation, EVER.

I like to compare ionizing radiation to walking barefoot outdoors, yes it will cause damage, but guess what, our bodies are meant to be damaged and repair themselves, it's how we function & in fact your body often repairs itself stronger in the damaged area than it was before the damage. This is how we build muscle (we use our muscles, they are ripped and torn (micro rips etc) same with clauses, same with scar tissue, broken bones etc...).

the phrase "no pain, no gain" applies here, with out struggle, humans do not improve, and as above, so below... we NEED ionizing radiation (and in fact cannot avoid it). of course proper levels are important, you don't want to go from wearing shoes all your life to walking on coral reefs, but you CAN work up to the coral reefs, I've seen it with my own eyes.
