The departing US Homeland Security Secretary used her farewell speech to warn the nation’s leaders of an impending “serious” cyber-attack as well as a natural disaster, the impact of which will dwarf Hurricane Sandy and other disasters in recent memory.

Greetings, earthlings: "natural disasters" do not give extended warnings.

Hurricanes, maybe a few days; earthquakes, maybe a day or two at the most - sometimes hours. No one could know in advance if the sun was going to fire off a big enough CME (coronal mass ejection) and have it happen to be aimed at Earth to cause a "natural disaster." Janet Napolitano is supplying a warning (some might say a warning "required" by secret society 'codes') of an impending disaster that will appear to be "natural" but will be man-made. Or should I say, psychopath-made.

The genius Tesla worked on many things, and among them, a not-so-smart way to induce earthquakes. Those who have been paying attention to "geoengineering" (which may be strictly a front to cover the most nefarious, covert aspects of the technologies) know there are many HAARP-like installations around the world, and I presume all of them are in the hands of psychopaths. Could an array of arrays of these devices produce a major earthquake? (Tesla's papers were all stolen by the black-ops faction of the US government, so we cannot know if this is the same technology Tesla successfully tested.)

A well-placed, induced earthquake could create a super tsunami. Or, HAARP-like arrays could produce and steer a category 5 hurricane into New York, or a cyclone or hurricane into other heavily populated areas.

I'm not an advocate for torture, but if Janet was waterboarded, maybe we'd find out exactly what disaster they have planned for us."

Ya know, I didn't want to listen to her whole speech. I especially hate to listen to evil people give boring speeches, because my mind drops down into a lower and much more vulnerable state once I have mentally disengaged. So, I wanted to click and find the specific words. I tried first clicking clicking clicking, moving the pointer up a minute or so, and could not find the specific words. I looked to see if I could find a transcript, to just search for specific words. Finally, I allowed the speech to play... but admittedly, became bored so quickly that I drifted away. I still have not confirmed that what she is quoted as saying is a direct quote (rather than a hyperbolic paraphrase.) If any one did listen and was able to stay alert through it, did she actually say the "the likes of which the nation has never seen" comment or not?

I have not heard her say: "...a natural disaster — the likes of which the nation has never seen — is also likely on its way..."

Well, then I apologize to Avalon for repeating the hype. I will have to get better at verifying (to the best of my ability.) This time I didn't. I was as lazy as the half-dozen websites that repeated the fabricated quote. I got suckered because one of the websites was ABC News dot com - in fact, I think they fabricated the quote.

Nevertheless, Dennis, it was worth making your initial point that truly natural catastrophes are not predictable. We have seen too much of this especially with regard to CMEs and asteroid hits. There is a general background risk and the rest is mere speculation.

Thanks, corson, but no, I didn't take it that way at all. I'm taking responsibility for not checking my source before posting. The info (video) was available, and I fell into the trap of thinking that the mainscream media (ABC News used to be one of the big 3 news sources) would not fabricate a quote. But they did. And, I repeated it.

The whole point I was trying to make with my opening post was that (if the quote was real), they were declaring in advance that a major natural catastrophe was going to happen soon, which is impossible - unless you believe people have indeed seen the future, or unless they are planning/orchestrating a disaster that would appear to have a natural cause.

I think it is important for the readers of this thread (which includes visitors that are non-members and find this in a Groogle search) that this was actually not just a slightly jazzed-up headline quote, but actually a false quote, fabricated by a major mainstream news outlet.

I'm embarrassed to have perpetuated it, but that's not the main story. The main story is "major news outlet ABC deliberately fabricated a false quote. Film at 11."
