Hello all my fellow trusted avalonians,

Years ago, in 2009, I was diagnosed with a nodule on the right side of my thyroid, which was 2 centimeters (1 inch). For years, I have been having ultrasounds twice a year, to make sure it did not grow. The culture showed abnormal cells, but in the grey zone.

Last week, while putting my hand on my neck, I noticed that the nodule had grown quite alot and that surrounding tissues were swolen.

I went to the endocrinologist today. It has grown sufficiently to have half my gland removed, it is pressuring the lymphatic glands around. It may have turned cancerous, which is a good probabilities.

The doctor got me an appointment with the neck surgeon, which will most probably do a biopsie and set me up for surgery. I am meeting him in a month. If there is cancer, they will go fast with surgery bookings. I would rather keep myself whole and working well.

So, I have a month to get that nodule reduced to about nothing.

I would like to go natural. I read about the Gerbson therapy, there is Hula Clark also, and there may be others.

This is the end signal telling me that I have to drastically turn my life around and change my mental habits as well as my daily habits (it will require discipline)

What I need from Avalon members:

1. All the tricks in the books you have for natural medecine to cure cancer and reduce nodules, so that I can build myself a coherent cure and health plan.
2. Moral support during the process, which may take quite a few months, up to one year.
3. Tricks to reduce stress (I have been Under stress for years, I do not want to go back on that habit)
4. Spiritual support
5. A good laugh.

At the present time, I am really taking it fine, analysing the situation and looking at how I will make the best out of it. I am surprised at how little emotions I have about it. Changing habits might be quite more difficult and drastic, but yet enjoyable.

The other thin is that it is one of the easiest cancer to get rid of. Luck n bad luck.

Eaglespirit, I will not take any Ormus, it enhances everything, not the right time for me.

Hipocrotes, the Father of medicine, said let your FOOD be your medicine. He knew how to cure cancer. WE have always known how to cure cancer. It's just that there insn't any money in curing it so they don't tell us how. But all it takes is a little research to find bunches of cures that work quite well, and people have been using them for years, with great success.

Raw Honey will boost your immune system, so that your immune system can then cure your cancer. 2 tablespoons of Raw Honey and 1 teaspoon of real cinnamon, in a glass of warm water (not HOT, 140 degrees kills the honey) 4 times/day will supercharge your immune system. Soaking for 20 minutes in an Epsom Salt bath 3 times/week, will help also. Epsom salt, is magneseum, sulfer, and 4 parts Oxygen. It ain't salt.

I think my post had been on page 3. It was a link to the ACOR listserv (assoc online cancer resources) for thyroid cancer. I found their pancreatic cancer list for my mom when she had cancer, and I imagine the thyroid list will be just as helpful. Includes every treatment (both conventional and non) imaginable, successes, support, suggestions, etc., in an email forum that you subscribe to...they'll send you instant, daily or weekly digests, which are easily set when one subscribes.

My advice was to purchase the DVD "One Answer to Cancer" in the dVD there is a nurse who cured herself of thyroid cancer with black salve. It's an excellent DVD, very inspirational. Pays to research and know what you are in for. There has to be a better way than conventional medicines slash and burn policy! It hasn't changed in fifty years! I'm using black salve at the moment.

I saved my post. I've seen a lot of forums screwed with recently so I've got into the habit of saving my better posts.

Here are my thoughts:

- Flash, you could edit all this advice into a wiki or pdf to act as a focus.

- As the thyroid is near the surface of the neck, topical applications of cannabis oil, black salve, coconut oil might well help.

- Dr Schulze is the best health MD I've ever some across.

- Please be careful with oding on Bitter Apricots and other remedies. They are powerful, but less can be more. Cancertutor.com is great for the subtleties of cancer treatment.

- If you want to tackle this thing aggressively, you can do it with fasting, exercise, music and fresh air.

- Listen to your favourite music from your youth has been proven to help health and outlook.

- Cut out all white rice, breads, refined sugars and carbs. You could research Oxalates and Bromides, and cut them out too.

- Let yourself have some high quality chocolate from time to time.

- Watch comedy as much as you can. Turn off the news and chicken little bloggers. If Syria goes off, or there's a bioattack, someone will text you.

- Maca Root and Seaweed can help the Thyroid.

- Topical Lugols solution may help, but its best to go slow. Both the Iodiophobes and Iodiophiles are missing the boat IMO.

- Per Dr Schulze, cold water jets can shrink tumors. You could do worse than lean over the bath and blast your upper body and neck with cold water. Hydrotherapy is very powerful and is very well backed up by ancient tales and modern athletic research.

- Don't aim to be just healthy again, aim to have the healthiest thyroid in town, and to be an expert that helps others. I completely cured myself from heart disease, and am now a fitness freak. Last year I walked up a mountain and left two hipsters in their mid twenties sagging and hyperventilating behind me.

- You can read up on your condition, but don't obsess about the thyroid, just aim to be super healthy.

- Bananas are an easy source of potassium.

- Jack Lalanne.

- Don't underestimate any of the above advice, the simplest stuff can work wonders.

At minimum you may want to
- start juicing
- no meat+no milk
- start sweating (bikram yoga or sauna, for a low emf no toxic sauna this one good http://www.hightechhealth.com/products/thermal-life-saunas, also search the relation between hyperthermia/heat and healing cancer)
- the "save your life manual" is a 1300 pages searchable manual by Dr Schulze and Sam Bizer on their clinical experience

Many thanks, part of my research too, I will become a cancer expert afterward. By the way, the Mini Flash who is such a nice teenager has been having dysphasia and other motor skills problems all her childhood and has work soooo much towards getting better, that we both became expert in the childhood developmental fields. So, another thread to my arc (wow, I do not know how to translate that saying).

I will backtrack and read other responses, as I'm sure it has been mentioned, but my very first thought would be to follow the protocol of (your fellow Canadian) Rick Simpson, and take cannabis oil. I'm sure it is accessible, though your government is in lockstep with the US Corporate Mafia Government in attempting to keep people from having access to this herb and its healing potential.

My second thought (again, very luckily, within Canada) would be the clinic of the French doctor who is quietly curing cancer using his 714x formulation:

Of the few replies to your request I have read, yes, I would admit as few more toxins to your body as possible (so the task of curing is not made more difficult by additional toxins), and I personally would try to push my body toward a more alkaline state (though I'd have to read more to find out how to do it - I recall someone here stating that taking baking soda did not seem to change their saliva pH.) I'm sure someone here has specifics on how to do it, and I hope that it is as simple as taking some sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) or perhaps potassium bicarbonate (http://www.nuts.com/cookingbaking/leavenerthickener/potassium-bicarbonate.html).

i don't want to repost my exact same post from earlier because it was incomplete.

there's two kinds of tissues in the thyroid which can become "cancerous" but both "cancers" are essentially harmless.

1. the actual thyroid tissue grows if there's not enough iodine in the food. this is probably what happened in your case. the cyst you already have from years ago was created for the same reason but will most likely not disappear because it will have been closed off by the body years ago. nothing to worry about. the new growth is again due to lack of iodine. if you take daily doses of lugol's (3-4 drops of 5% solution will do the trick) the new growth will eventually be decomposed by mycobacteria (if they are available, that is). this is a good thing! that's why you should not use mms! otherwise the body will have to close the growth off and you keep another cyst. bacteria are our friends.

2. the other tissue is that inside the thyroid ducts which ulcerates after a frontal-fear trauma. this is a moment in which you literally or figuratively saw something coming towards you of which you were afraid (like a fearful diagnosis for instance). this causes an instinctive biological reaction by the body (in animals it creates a play-dead reflex) and the ulceration is a byproduct of this. here's the important part - that it's swollen, inflamed and hurts means the body realized that the threat has passed and it's now healing the ulceration, so nothing has to be done except to stay cool and know that all will be well.

the 2nd is probably not what you're suffering from (unless the growth is swollen, inflamed and hurts) but it's a possibility and i wanted to mention it just in case. at any rate, all you should take is some lugol's. nothing else is needed.

I also want to add one little known item about the thyroid... it will uptake bromine instead of iodine. The bread industry back in the day used iodine enriched flour, remember? Well now a days they substitute bromines which are poisonous for the thyroid, which will uptake them instead of iodine if depleted. So if you haven't eliminated commercial bread please do.

Sorry to hear that, Flash. I have my fingers crossed for a clean biopsy report and an easy solution to this problem. You are a strong gal and I just know you will pull through this thing just fine. Yet, it won't hurt to start a cleansing therapy like MMS, hemp oil or other.

I had a biopsy 11 years ago (not thyroid) that came back positive, took a 3 month soul searching rollercoaster ride with several therapies then went for a second opinion...surprise...no abnormal cells at all! I know that we can heal ourselves.... I have my own proof.

Abdominal Castor Oil Pack Application
Materials needed:
· Castor Oil
· Wool flannel – three thicknesses combined (cotton may be substituted if a wool allergy exists)
· 2 quart glass baking with lid
· Heating Pad **
· 2 Underpads approximately 23” X 36”
Instructions:
Wash and dry the wool flannel thoroughly before starting. Soak the three thicknesses of undyed, unbleached wool flannel in
good, high-quality, cold-pressed castor oil in the glass baking dish. This will take between 10 to 16 ounces of castor oil. The
cloth should be wet but not dripping. Place the baking dish in an oven set to the lowest temperature (125 to 140) for about 20
minutes prior to starting. **
Place and underpad on the bed or table located where it will be under you in the area where the pack will be placed over your
abdomen.* Place the soaked cloth over the abdominal cavity (from the middle of the breast to the pubic hairline and
covering from side to side – see diagram). Cover the pack with another underpad. Place a heating
pad** over the cloth to keep it warm. The heat will promote absorption, increase circulation, and
help the body to relax. Leave it on for at least an hour during which time a positive, uplifting,
attitude should be held (not in front of a television). Castor oil is similar in structure to quartz
crystal and is an excellent “vibrational” conductor. It seems our thoughts can have a very
powerful effect on what is induced into the body during the application of the pack.
After the pack is removed, wipe the abdominal area down very well with a solution of baking soda
in water (1 teaspoon per pint of water). You can also add witch hazel to the mixture if desired.
The baking soda is an alkalizer and will help to detoxify the area. To quote Cayce, “There will be
accumulations that will arise from the activity of the pack. That is why the soda is needed to
produce a reaction of an alkaline nature in the body.” (3367-1) Castor oil stains so you should use
underpads to put over top of the pack to protect the heating pad, and be sure to not wear any
clothing or use any bedding you don’t mind getting stained. The flannel, castor oil, and heating
pad are all available from the Heritage Store in Virginia Beach. Their website is
www.caycecures.com. If you order from them, you should get a quantity of 3 of their large sized piece of wool flannel to
have to correct amount for a good pack.
Castor oil packs are one of those rare remedies that cannot be used too much; generally, with external applications of castor
oil, "more is better." I recommend the minimum use be for an hour each day - for three consecutive days in a week.
Important - Take two tablespoons of extra virgin, cold-pressed olive oil by mouth just before retiring for the night on the
days you do a castor oil pack.
Storage and Reuse
Store your pack in its covered glass dish at room temperature. It will keep for years. To reuse the pack, simply refresh with a
little castor oil for each use.
Cleaning the Pack
If you absolutely must clean the pack, begin by soaking the pack in a solution of baking soda and hot water, using four
ounces of soda to two quarts of water. After soaking the pack for at least 20 minutes, wring it out thoroughly and allow it to
air dry.
* Castor oil will stain anything it touches. Take extra care to protect bedding and clothing as it is nearly impossible to wash
out.
** Heat should not be used if contraindicated by your condition such as Appendicitis, diabetic neuropathy, or pregnancy.

Adaptations to the above instructions for castor oil packs.

In this case, cut the pad down so 2 or 3 layers can fit comfortably around the neck.

Use plastic wrap to cover the pad, instead of using "underpads" to keep the oil from getting everywhere.

If your flannel comes from heritagestore.com or caycecures.com don't worry about boiling it, it is ready to use.

Use the wool, not the cotton, unless you are allergic. It is not too itchy!

Also, Atomidine is the iodine supplement prepared according to Cayce's direction, good for you and Mini Flash! One drop in a glass of water, to be taken when you first wake up in the morning.

You can order all the materials in a kit from Heritage, rather than getting the products individually. This will give you more oil than you need immediately, but the oil can be used topically for getting rid of all manner of blemishes on the skin. One drop rubbed thoroughly into the skin where the offense occurs. Usually one try for a zit or pimple, but repeat application every other day to get rid of moles, skin tags, melanomas(!) and most any undesired appearance. It also will replace any antibiotic ointments and such. It will kill a fungal, viral, or bacterial infection on the skin. It is good, with or without the packs, for a wide range of conditions. The cold pressed oil also is not bad to take internally, unlike the heat processed oil, it has almost no taste.

I also recommend using the product Alka Thyme, it is a wonderful alkalizer, it is preventative to colds and flu, it has anti mucous properties, anti inflammatory properties, and a lot more. I use it on bug bites to get rid of the welts and the itch. Last night, my young son had an ear ache and a little of that on a rag, getting him to press it on and around the ear, made it feel much better, just for instance. It is a burn remedy, curing burns in under an hour in most cases, and in a compress will draw out a fever, even.

I've never got above 7 drops, and that made me very sick.

What about people who are heavy vs someone who's light?

Last I read, Humble had tweaked the protocols to make them slower and gentler.

50 drops a day could easily kill some people, even 10 could cause a fatality.

I'd start at 1 drop per hour and no more than 5 a day.

What some people call detox could be chlorine dioxide toxicity.

It's one of the the most powerful substances on the planet and should be handled with care.

I'm cautious with MMS.

I went to Shebrooke and met the person selling the product 714-X taking care of the lymphatic system, making sure it is kept clean so that it can eliminate toxis and get your immune system working properly. So many alternate ideas of how to cure cancer here. I am a breast cancer survivor and 'cured' myself about 5 years ago. Since then I have still been on a learning curve... Gosh, I hope I never stop loving to learn!

I have moved away from a lot of the things discussed here, such as MMS which plays havoc with gut flora and fauna. No one on this thread has yet mentioned a very powerful and really successful self-treatment. This treatment has nearly a 100% success ratio and also will protect you from nearly every other kind of disease as well as lengthening your life span. It is radiation hormesis. Or, using radiation in a homeopathic fashion. There is a LOT of science behind this and many studies have been done. For some reason the government and medical establishment work actively to keep this knowledge away from the public (sound familiar?)

I did a bit of research on potassium iodide. This is from the FDA emergency preparedness bioterrorist and drug preparedness site (http://www.fda.gov/drugs/emergencypreparedness/bioterrorismanddrugpreparedness/ucm072265.htm). Here's the side effects (#9) of potassium iodide.

9. What are the side effects ?
Side effects are unlikely when KI is used at the recommended dose and for a short time. The following are possible side effects:

Skin rashes
Swelling of the salivary glands
“Iodism” (metallic taste, burning mouth and throat, sore teeth and gums, symptoms of a head cold, and sometimes upset stomach and diarrhea)
An allergic reaction can have more serious symptoms. These include fever and joint pains; swelling of parts of the body (face, lips, tongue, throat, hands, or feet); trouble breathing, speaking, or swallowing; wheezing or shortness of breath. Severe shortness of breath requires immediate medical attention.

The effectiveness of KI as a specific blocker of thyroid radioiodine uptake is well established. When administered in the recommended dose, KI is effective in reducing the risk of thyroid cancer in individuals or populations at risk for inhalation or ingestion of radioiodines. KI floods the thyroid with non-radioactive iodine and prevents the uptake of the radioactive molecules, which are subsequently excreted in the urine.

2. Can potassium iodide (KI) be used to protect against radiation from bombs other than radioactive iodine?

Potassium iodide ( KI) works only to prevent the thyroid from uptaking radioactive iodine. It is not a general radioprotective agent.

3. Who really needs to take potassium iodide (KI) after a nuclear radiation release?

The FDA guidance prioritizes groups based on age, which primarily determines risk for radioiodine-induced thyroid cancer. Those at highest risk are infants and children, as well as pregnant and nursing females, and the recommendation is to treat them at the lowest threshold (with respect to predicted radioactive dose to the thyroid). Anyone over age 18 and up to age 40 should be treated at a slightly higher threshold. Finally, anyone over 40 should be treated with KI only if the predicted exposure is high enough to destroy the thyroid and induce lifelong hypothyroidism (thyroid deficiency).

4. What potassium iodide (KI) products are currently available?

As of January 2005, Iosat, ThyroSafe, and ThyroShield are FDA approved KI products. You can find out more about these products at Drugs@FDA. Please be aware that only the KI products approved by FDA may be legally marketed in the United States.

5. How are these products available?

** Potassium iodide oral solution is supplied in 1 oz (30 mL) bottles with a dropper marked for 1, 0.5, and 0.25 mL dosing. each mL contains 65 mg potassium iodide.

7. How long should potassium iodide (KI) be taken?

Since KI protects for approximately 24 hours, it should be dosed daily until the risk no longer exists. Priority with regard to evacuation and sheltering should be given to pregnant females and neonates because of the potential for KI to suppress thyroid function in the fetus and neonate. Unless other protective measures are not available, we do not recommend repeat dosing in pregnant females and neonates.

8. Who should not take potassium iodide (KI) or have restricted use?

Persons with known iodine sensitivity should avoid KI, as should individuals with dermatitis herpetiformis and hypocomplementemic vasculitis, extremely rare conditions associated with an increased risk of iodine hypersensitivity. A seafood or shellfish allergy does not necessarily mean that you are allergic or hypersensitive to iodine. People with nodular thyroid with heart disease should not take KI. Individuals with multinodular goiter, Graves' disease, and autoimmune thyroiditis should be treated with caution -- especially if dosing extends beyond a few days. If you are not sure if you should take KI, consult your healthcare professional.

12. Should I go out and buy potassium iodide (KI) to keep on hand?

KI works best if used within 3-4 hours of exposure. Although FDA has not made specific recommendations for individual purchase or use of KI, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has contracted to purchase KI for states with nuclear reactors and states that have population within the 10-mile emergency planning zone, e.g., Delaware or West Virginia.

13. How do I know that potassium iodide (KI) will be available in case of an emergency?

FDA will continue to work with interested pharmaceutical manufacturers to assure that high quality, safe, and effective KI products are available for purchase by consumers, by state and local authorities, and by federal government agencies electing to do so.

I did try it a while ago for one day: I became so hyperactive that it was ridiculous, speaking real fast, a bit like with an helium voice lol, my neighbour was laughing at me. Also it says that nodular goiter like thyroid should avoid the supplement. So, I will pass for the time being.

However, your post made me aware that I had cut the regular kitchen salt with iodine in it for sea salt, years ago, or those himalayan salts. The amount of iodine in it may be different, and I use less as well. So I will take note to make sure I add ingredients in my diet that are filled with iodine, such as seaweek not from the pacific near Japan.

Luapskie thanks, I will definitely add apricot kernels. They contain low dosis of cyanide which in turn hampers the shell construction on the cysts cells, which then allows the curative products used (vitamins and others) to do their work more efficiently. From what I understand from the readings, cyanide should be always use concomittantly with treatments.

Thanks Jim, I tried it and yes, it may work but it plays havoc with my blood sugar level, I have diabetes too. If I want a down day, with not will to do anything, I take any sugar including croissants or muffins on an empty stomach and my day is gone.

I will trie to do 2 things at once, getting rid of cysts and diabetes if I can.

{edit} Oh, I see you went on the 4th. (I have now caught-up in reading.) Interesting that they say 714x is not curative. I wonder if they are forced to say that, in Canada. No, i spoke to the main assitant and she described the chemical components (natural chemical) and their pathways, and it is not curative. It is helping whatever other stuff you take as a cure. I stocked up on HimalaSalt, and use sea salt to make fermented vegetables, and I add sea vegetables in soups and rice and barley.

Yes, there is plenty of evidence that cancer is a fungus. I have also heard about the baking soda cure. It also appears that radiation hormesis has a very strong effect on fungus, while leaving human cells alone. It seems that radiation hormesis is most effective on all things fungus in the body. So... you could try both.

Thank you all. I will contunue to check all of your suggestions and come up with a plan. And let you know. I also found that diabetes has a negative impact on thyroid functions and that the medication for it has a firther negative impact on the thyroid. Conclusion: whatever i do, it has to take care of diabetes too. . So i will do something for my whole self.

I am waitinf for echography of the gland and biopsy has been postpone until the echo is done.

I am not too wortied since it is one of the easiest cancer to take care of in actual medecine. I have given myself 3 months(2left) to study the best alternative and implement. Thanks everyone.

I have read much, and listened to many on the subject of cures for diseases, and our struggle to sometimes live what can be described as a 'normal' life...free of pain and suffering.

The result is who we, each, are now...with our many past good and bad traits, together with our attitudes which we have picked up in our current life based on the group environment which we have chosen to incarnate into. Even the most isolated of us is included in this formula of current life consciousness.

Thus, the quality of each of our vibrational make up is that which determines the reaction of the many forces and entities around us, which we interact with in our daily lives. If the reaction or result of the created trinity is not of a harmonious nature...disease results.

This trinity, which is seen in every single event which takes place in the entire cosmos, is the key to the creation of a bad or a good reaction to any external entity which we come into contact with.

Now we should not assume that it is always the fault of the 'other' entity which causes our disease...because it is very likely that our own Self quality, or vibrational quality, might be out of tune with the 'other' entity.

This out-of-tune-ness with nature and life is the cause of disease, because it results in disharmony. Of course if we are strong enough in a positive way we can easily normalise the potential of the disharmony...and the disease could be avoided.

So in the world today we see various profund diseases coming in, and going out of phase as we face different emotional and mental patterns in life. Our quality of Self, which can also be called karma, is what we bring into each incarnation...with the goal of harmonising with the surroundings and many vibrational patterns and entities which we are to make contact with.

Some of the things that can create disharmony range from a simple spider bite to a constant and chronic relationship, to a self inflicted battle of failing to express what is on our minds.

Now here is the crux of this predicament we find ourselves in. The use of drugs or natural cures is of course seen by many as the way to go...and I am not ever going to want to change that because suffering is something we should avoid. However it is an esoteric fact that curing oneself with drugs or whatever other means we choose is in reality not curing the attitude or Self quality, rather we are temporaraly relieving the condition to avoid the suffering.
The correct way to go about this is to seek inner understanding of the nature of the disease which we are fighting, and to effect a cure by harmonising with the forces or learning to avoid the forces or entities which cause the conflict.

Most cancers, for example, are caused by inhibition of some state in our life.

Inhibition of some states in our lifes!? Of course, it is. In my case, the question is not "is it" but which of the numerous inhibited state has started this thyroid problem,and while we are at it, this diabetes problem? And while we are at it, those bad choices in relationships, and while were are at it..... lol.

Of course, I do understand that if the underlying problem, which is often not physical but rather energetic or spiritual, has not been resolved, the predicament will come again, now or later, in this life or another one.

The process to unearth these causes if sometimes longer than one would like to ensure this organism now has a futur. I have tried to work on this my lifelong, and here I am. For the moment, there is no suffering but a potential for turning in a direction where my body fades away. Fine if it is where I am supposed to be at. But not fine if I have remaining things to do, opportunities to be of service and/or to grow.

On thing for sure is that my food and daily living has to be more balanced. Also, nice to be of service, but I also have to respond to my body needs, otherwise it is nice but not wise.

In practicality Finefeather, what should I do with what you bring here? Where do you start to perceive the force to avoid or those to get nearer to? I am a slow learner it seem - a laggard... ;).

I have started lately by refusing what does not suit me, where I do not feel good, therefore refusing to work in my old work, for the moment. Also by giving more time for pleasantness to myself, and to/with my daughter.

From there, I discover a new mantra: "It has to be easy, NOW". Life has to be easier, otherwise it makes no sense. And it has to be now, otherwise it makes no sense. I do not say that in terms of not working or making no efforts, but in terms of stopping the going "overboard", working so much or having so much worries that is stretches my capacities to their limits. And kind of accepting life as it comes, sometimes drifting with the flow as well. Also, accpeting that there is some lifes that are inherently difficult and lonely and I that had one of these. But NOW, it has to be easy.

What will be my next discovery, I do not know. As long as it is easy lol...

In practicality, where do I start, apart from the biological side of it?

Well lets just take a hypothetical case, so that readers do not get the impression that I am pointing fingers. :)

Based on your 2 immediate symptoms...Thyroid cancer and diabetes we might be able to piece together some scenario. Of course, as you have pointed out, diet is important in some cases, especially diabetes.

Lets start with the diabetes:

The problem is that many of us think sugar is the only problem but dense carbohydrates like white rice, pasta, potatoes, soya and sunflower seed oil, omega 6, refined wheat breads etc are really the bad ones. In South Africa we have a major problem with diabetes because carbohydrates are cheap to buy and are aimed at the poor.

If we look at the pancreas which is the 'offending' organ then we can see that it is directly affected by the solar plexus chakra. This chakra is directly related to emotional stimulus and thus affects the organs in it's immediate surroundings. This chakra has been termed the 'astral gateway' as it is directly linked to our emotional envelope.

So emotion plays a major role in diabetes and we often hear of emotional people eating to comfort them in high emotional states.

If we consider this emotional state and what it might do to the throat chakra, which governs the thyroid gland, we might find a severe case of inhibited or arrogant expression (throat chakra) based on high or unchecked emotion and or incorrect mental ideals.
What we do not realise is that inhibited/arrogant expression, or lack of expressing what is inside us, because we are emotionally distraught about something, or are embarrassed about something, or are too vain and or egotistical about our achievements, arrogant etc, can have major implications in the thyroid.

So these two dis-eases are clearly linked.

Fine Ray, but my question remains unanswered.

Yes, those 2 diseases are linked, even science is starting to "discover" this.

However, say it is linked either through stiffled emotions or through its reverse, arrogant ones. We do agree it is linked to emotional imbalance. Diabetes and troat problems both are also linked together and to emotional imbalance.

In that case, the real bottom line problems is how to balance them, mostly if they have been stiffled since chidhood for example. And most probably from previous lifetimes too.

The imbalanced emotions have run their course, playing havoc in the body and with the soul development.

You can start by curing the body, if you can, and try to resolve the emotional build up at the same time. I must say that the latter is much more difficult to resolve, because it is much more difficult to see it for what it is. Emotional built up carry with it false beliefs, crooked values, all kinds of thing difficult to perceive unless you get out from underneath it.

Then you can meditate as much as you want, you may still not see what is damaging you. You can go to therapies over therapies and may still not have a handle on it.

The soul may have chosen the early environment, but the body (emotional and physical) does not know it. You may even be carrying part of the karma of your family. Who knows really.

Then, my question remains, in all practicality, how do you work on resolving this? I mean on a bottom day to day basis.

By the way, the case is not that hypothetical (this is sooo funny, it obviously relates to me, but this is alright).

I can only answer you in parts. It is up to you to work out the details. I would need to be with you for a month before I would even begin to see the forces around you.
Also as you are yourself so convinced and acceptive of these points I mentioned, it should be easy for you to work out any negativity in your attitude.
We just need to be honest inside and the story becomes clearer.

Your environment is what you came into to resolve your problems, and you can gauge by your attitude in these communications how you feel about them.
Karma is a personal challenge. Your environment is the learning ground.

Why don't you list all the situations and people which you find difficult to handle and start analysing your attitude. I understand well that it is difficult to accept our own errors...let alone recognise them...but if you are up against a wall then maybe you should realise that it is time to surrender to the Self.

Remember that even if it is not resolved in one life, there are many more. Don't be hasty and let your predicament create fear or anxiety in your life, because this will make it worse. You need to accept what you got with the realisation that you are now working on this. Everyone will get to or has been at these stages which we need to experience.

The path of orthodox or alternative body therapy may be just as traumatic in the end, because of all the radium and other chemo therapy and other changes you need to make physically to affect relief.

At least if you work on the consciousness aspect you will be placing the experience 'in the bank'...this you cannot loose.

Going to body therapy will be to enhance my overall health habits, not the other way. No much fear up to now (strangely, except for this precise actual minute - I am usually fine).

Moreover, shikonin induced cell apoptosis through reactive oxygen species (ROS)-mediated DNA damage and the activation of p53 signaling pathway. Statins show antiproliferative activity in various cancer cells. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of rosuvastatin treatment on papillary thyroid carcinoma. The papillary thyroid carcinoma (B-CPAP) and normal (Nthy-ori 3-1) thyroid cell lines were treated with rosuvastatin at 12.5, 18.5, 25, 50, 100, and 200 μM concentrations. After 48 and 72 h of rosuvastatin treatment, 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide, Ki-67 immunolabeling, FACS analysis, electron microscopy, caspase-3, and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick end-labeling (TUNEL) analysis were performed. Decreased cell viability and G1 phase arrest were detected in papillary thyroid cell line treated with rosuvastatin. Positive immunoreactivity of Ki-67 and dose-dependent increase in S phase on Nthy-ori 3-1 cells were also detected. B-CPAP cells showed intense vacuolisation and autophagosomes with low concentrations and 48 h incubations, while Nthy-ori 3-1 cells showed these changes at higher concentrations. A decrease in the percentage of cells showing autophagy was determined with increasing concentrations of rosuvastatin in B-CPAP cells. Rosuvastatin treatment also caused a dose- and time-dependent increase in caspase-3 activity and apoptotic index by TUNEL assay in B-CPAP cells compared with the Nthy-ori 3-1 cells. Apoptotic cells with nuclear condensation and fragmentation were observed in B-CPAP cell line. Rosuvastatin induced autophagic changes in B-CPAP papillary thyroid cancer cells in lower doses and caused a shift from autophagy to apoptosis. Rosuvastatin may be an alternative treatment for refractory papillary thyroid cancer. Further in vivo studies are necessary to clarify the effects of rosuvastatin in papillary thyroid carcinoma and the clinical implications of rosuvastatin treatment.

Do not take iodine when taking any revestratol (grape or turpentine) because it enhance the iodine trapping - you may end up with overdosing.

Abstract
BACKGROUND:

Resveratrol, a polyphenol found in grapes, exhibits several beneficial health effects by its antioxidant, antiinflammatory, and chemopreventive properties. The aim of the present study was to determine the effect of resveratrol on iodide trapping and efflux as well as its mode of action using FRTL-5 cells, having in mind the pivotal role of the natrium iodide symporter (NIS) in the treatment of differentiated thyroid cancers.
METHODS:

Cells were treated with resveratrol for various times and doses, in the presence or absence of thyrotropin (TSH). Iodide trapping, iodide efflux, rat NIS (rNIS) protein expression, and cyclic AMP (cAMP) production were evaluated.
RESULTS:

Resveratrol increased iodide trapping in a time-dependent (optimal 6 hours) and dose-dependent (100 microM) way in the presence of TSH. It showed an additive effect when concomitantly added with an optimal dose of TSH. Resveratrol (50 microM) increased (threefold) rNIS protein expression. In TSH-deprived cells, resveratrol also provoked an increase in rNIS protein (>3-fold in 6 hours) with an optimum at 40 microM. Resveratrol did not inhibit iodide efflux from FRTL-5 cells. It neither increased intracellular cAMP nor induced the arborization of living cells, two TSH-induced effects. A non-cAMP mode of action is highly suspected.
CONCLUSIONS:

Resveratrol increases iodide trapping in FRTL-5 cells, increasing iodide influx and rNIS protein level even in the absence of TSH. It has an additive effect with TSH. Consequently, resveratrol could be a promising molecule for radioiodide therapy in follicular and papillary differentiated thyroid carcinoma in association with recombinant human TSH.http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20151827

There are many others for certain ( I did small study on healing properties of mushrooms for my biology class as teenager ) so I was extremely interested listening to what this friend has to say .

I'm coming late to this thread and don't have the time right now to read through it in its entirety but thought I'd suggest Health Kinesiology. This particular branch of Kinesioloogy was developed by a Canadian, Dr Jimmy Scott and I've found it to be very powerful for treating and assisting a wide range of health issues. It works on the premise which is at the heart of most of not all energy medicine, namely that behind any physical illness lies a network of 'energetic patterns' which have accumulated throughout the energy system until they later manifest as physical illness.

I studied the first two modules of the course and was learning with a fellow student who had gone into spontaneous remission from breast cancer after being treated with Health kinesiology (though the cancer came back a few years later). It uses muscle testing to 'dowse' the body to uncover the specific energy imbalances in the meridian system which are causing the physical symptoms and then dowses to ascertain the exact corrections (potentially combinations of thousands of specific corrections) which are necessary to address the imbalance. It's a remarkable and very effective system in my experience and whilst vastly different to your own situation, I witnessed significant improvement in my Son's symptoms (he has something called Sensory Processing Disorder) after being treated with Health Kinesiology.

I haven't read through all of your thread yet. Thought I would pass along this information about Cedar Berries, diabetes and the pancreas.

Also, that toxins in the pancreas have a direct affect on the pituitary and pineal glands.

Juniperus Monosperma -single seed cedar berries from the common western cedar tree are known to support the pancreas and to have possibly curative properties for diabetes. You can either chew the berries or make a tea.

Dr. Christopher Discovers Cedar Berries Will Help Cure Diabetes: I had been concerned for years about how to get to the cause, in this condition, and get the pancreas, and other assisting glands, to become healthy and again make its own insulin and control the high or low blood sugar on its own, or as was originally intended.

The breakthrough came a number of years ago by accident (divine providence, I believe). A patient came to me with the problem of "having trouble in voiding his urine." This was years ago when I would mix my formulas, as needed, in my own herb laboratory. As I was in a hurry that day and did not have time to mix up a regular diuretic formula for him, I told him to use some juniper berries, and, if they were fresh to chew them, or make them into a tea. His response was that he had some growing in his own backyard and would use them.

Weeks later he returned and said the juniper berries were not giving him much help in voiding his urine. Knowing how efficient they really were in doing this, I asked him to let me see the juniper berries he was using. He took some from his pocket (as he carried them around, chewing on them during each day) and showed them to me. I laughed and said those are not what I meant. The true juniper berry I had recommended to him would have five or seven small stones in each berry, but the ones he had been using had only one. It was actually of the juniper family but was a "Utah monostone" cedar berry (Juniperus monosperma). It grows in the West such as in Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Texas, and in the national cedar forests but entirely different from our regular juniper berry (Juniperus communis; Pinaceae).

When I told him about the "mistake," I gave him some juniper berries which eventually worked and did the job. I was astounded about his reply because after thanking me, he stated he would continue using the cedar berries anyhow. When I asked him why, he said, "Well, since using what you call cedar berries, I have been able to cut down on my insulin as I am a diabetic. I wasn't sure I heard him right (after looking for something like this for years) and asked him to repeat what he had said. Upon his verification of what I hoped he had said, I was very excited and asked him to increase the amount he was using and keep in touch. He did so, and in a few months his pancreas, which had found the right food (cedar berries), was healed and producing its own insulin.

I then tried it on a number of my patients, who were diabetic, with great results! One of them was a lady using about eighty-five units of insulin a day. She was put on the mucusless diet, given the lower bowel formula [Fen LB], and told to use at least six cedar berries three or more times a day. She was instructed to continue on using her insulin but to watch the litmus paper carefully and taper her insulin intake gradually as the litmus paper would act as a gauge. So she had gradually tapered off her insulin and by the end of the year was not using any more. Her own body (pancreas) was supplying it as she required its use. She had no reoccurrence, but of course she stayed on the mucusless diet, because a faulty diet is the cause of pancreas malfunction. We have had remarkable success over the years with diabetes, using this system.

As time went on, we found that some of our ailing pancreas patients, though the sugar and insulin problem was adjusted, would have problems with the pituitary, pineal or adrenal glands. We had not, at this time, taken the thought into our mind that the pancreas doesn't work alone, but is assisted by other glands. When the pancreas was healed, toxic burdens centered more, now, into the other glands. This was the time we added additional herbs to take care of these other glands--and since then they all are rejuvenated and healed together. Thanks again everyone, I am extremely touched by all the help I received, really really touched. So many thanks to all of you here on Avalon.

Good news today: the cyst has grown quite lot, enough for the doctors to want to take off at least half the gland and most probably all of it. However, there is no cysts or metastase in the environing glands and ganglions. This means that nothing has spread. It is very localised.

I am so happy, this also means that solutions may be much less agressives.

So now I can truly plan, and it will combine diabètes and thyroid gland.

Looking into your solution for diabètes Nora, many thanks. I will also look into the mushrooms solutions of Nat-Lee and the one I found as well.

Of course, heavy juicing witll be involved and bio food.

I am also considering Reverstratol, found in turpentine (you can't overdose on this from the research, I mean on reverstratol nor turpentine), thanks to Sigma 6 thread. Since candida and other molds may be part of cancer.

I took off the idea of sweet (maple syrup) with soda for dough (don't remember the name in English), because the soda is not good with diabètes, nor the syrup.

I also decided to wait before taking MMS. I saw one of the video posted in Tesla's thread about autism, and it seems that MMS when given in Africa works right away, but when given to North American, it takes heavy dosage for at least one year to work. They presumes it is because of the heaviliy toxic environment we are in our bodies got accustomed as well as the microbes to heavy treatement.

I my also do what Naniu advice in a pm, go in a clinic near San Diego, on the Mexican side, where they take care of cancers and diabètes. A 20 days stay over there. I will look into the cost first, to see if I can afford it, I am waiting for a doctor call back right now from that clinic.

If with this the cysts decrease, good, if not, I will then look a the other alternatives you all proposed, such as weed oïl (yupi, tempting), etc.

You said something about not taking ORME gold that it enhances what is going on with the body. I watched David Hudson's recent amazing video also and he saying that it can make cancer grow. I looked up the properties of each element in their isolated m-state and what effects they have on the physical and subtle bodies.

Here is a summary by Barry Carter on David Hudson's and other researcher's earlier findings on the variants of the elements in m-state and their support of the physical body and what foods they are in in high concentrations. I left out iron and nickel -they turn back into the metallic state fast and are hard to eliminate out of the body for some people. Also Osmium is tthe most toxic of the elements; very toxic.

Copper:

Physical Properties:
There are no known transcribed comments from Hudson on copper. One other researcher reports that copper is quite stable in the m-state.
Biological Effects:
This same researcher reports some biological effects associated with m-state copper. He says that the m-copper seems to have a less profound psycho-physical effect than the gold and that some people react well to m-state copper and some people do not.
He claims that m-state copper will put a person with Parkinson's disease into a severe reaction. He recommends that you not take m-state copper if you have a history of Parkinson's disease in your family. Parkinson's disease is a result of the body not handling copper properly. If you do not have tendencies toward Parkinson's disease, m-state copper is actually good for you.
He also alleges that most of the effects generally associated with aging; gray hair, wrinkles etc. have been linked to copper deficiency and that copper deficiency is what kills most of us. He says "people with a copper deficiency will convert m-state copper to metallic copper. You get a double benefit that way."
This researchers also suggests that m-state copper might be what gives chlorophyll its green color and suggests that your mother might be right about the importance of eating your green vegetables.

Ruthenium:

Physical Properties:
The only transcribed comments Hudson has made about ruthenium is that it occurred at the rate of 250 ounces per ton (about 10% of total PGEs or about 1% of the total ton) in his original ore.

Biological Effects:

Bashar is the only commenter on the biological effects of ruthenium. Bashar said:
"You will find that ruthenium has great advantages for thyroidal action. You will find that ruthenium has great advantages for adenoidal action. You will find that ruthenium has great advantages for thymus action as well. There will be a small secondary effect in the idea of the allowance of bone degeneration; marrow."

Rhodium:

Physical Properties:
Rhodium is probably the most common of the m-state elements in mineral sources. Hudson reported that his original ore source had 1200 ounces per ton (about 50% of total PGEs or about 5% of the total ton) of the m-rhodium.
Another researcher claims that the Wet Method precipitate from Pacific ocean water and Great Salt Lake water is approximately 30% m-rhodium.
Hudson reports that m-state rhodium works more effectively as a catalyst in hydrogen fuel cells than metallic rhodium. Hudson also reported that the m-state rhodium is the material which would "disappear in a flash of light" if it was left out in the sun. Two other researchers have reported similar experiences with the m-state rhodium.

Biological Effects:

Each of the previously quoted sources have made comments on the biological effects of m-rhodium:
Hudson (paraphrases and quotes from various lectures):
80% of rhodium passes through in the urine.
Rhodium is associated with the thymus. When you take rhodium over a period of a month and a half, the thymus grows by 40%.

Now I will mention, when we analyze the carrot juice, there's a high amount of rhodium in carrot juice. I've heard of people drinking macro amounts of carrot juice and curing cancer. Well rhodium is the cancer cure... And probably one of the highest sources, natural sources of rhodium and iridium, is Aloe Vera...

...They don't have all of the answers and we don't have all the answers yet. How much, how it should be administered, what dosages, how much you can stand, but it does correct the DNA. And you know, it's in Essiac Tea, it's in the sheep sorrel and slippery elm bark, it's, rhodium is in carrot juice, carrots that are raised in the southwestern United States, Texas, excellent source of rhodium, but the Aloe Vera is one of the highest concentrations...

...Flax oil has rhodium and iridium. Almond seeds also have it. Apricot seeds have it. Grape juice has it as does grape seed. Water cress has a lot in it.
In his March/April 1996 newsletter Hudson wrote:
Cancer cells were placed in culture dishes and raised to maturity. When monoatomic rhodium was dispersed in the deionized water and added to the cancer culture they attracted to the cancer cells but did not affect the cells' activities.
However, when the rhodium is reacted with diluted hydrochloric acid and then introduced as a chloride into the cancer cells, the activities of the cells reduced by 45% to 55%. This truly amazed the researchers. They had previously seen materials which would kill cancer cells and they had seen other materials which had no adverse effect on the cancer. But they had never before seen a material that literally changes the nature of the cancer cells and made them normal!
The researchers were sufficiently impressed that they have engaged eight additional cancer laboratories to replicate these results. Researchers at N.I.H. (National Institute of Health) and Merck are now working with Orbitally Rearranged Monoatomic Elements - specifically rhodium. The researchers at these facilities of course do not understand what these materials are, where they came from, or how to analyze for them.

In Summary:
Rhodium ORME is clearly not toxic, even at very high concentration. Thus its anti-cancer action can not be via a cancer cell-killing mechanism.
Its effects on growth of cancer cells is cell type specific. It inhibits growth of liver cancer cell lines and the prostate line H23, but not the growth of other cell types. It actually stimulates the growth of PC3 cells and mink lung epithelial cells.
It inhibits the production of cytokine in PC3 cell and mink lung epithelial cells, which suggests the rhodium ORME may have anti-inflammatory activity.
Another researcher said:
"When you dry rhodium in the sunlight it goes off like a million flash bulbs. No explosion, no implosion, just a brilliant flash of light and it's done. The Pharos in Egypt used to commit suicide this way. When they were ready to meet their god they would dope up real heavy on the rhodium and walk up this long hallway into the morning sunlight. They would last about ten minutes. And they would blink out of existence. Gone in a flash of light. This is a massive overdose. You couldn't afford to get this amount of rhodium unless you owned a rhodium mine."
This researcher also reports beneficial results when a mixture of m-rhodium (70%) m-iridium (15%) and m-gold (15%) is taken as treatment for the following diseases:

BASHAR: No, they know what to do when they are in your body. Sometimes they actually work better when they are in concert with monoatomic chromium. By adding the monoatomic chromium to the iridium and rhodium it would be even more efficacious.

Biological Effects:
I could find no transcribed comments from Hudson about the biological effects of palladium.
The other main researcher claims that ORMUS palladium helps keep the skin young looking.
Bashar made this comment on palladium:
"Palladium is good for vision and reparation, regeneration of certain cellular structures that are, as you would say duty specific. Such as the cones and rods for the eyes, the taste buds of the tongue and other things that have to do with sensory apparatus."

Hi there Flash, I'll keep this short so you dont have too much to read. A lot of good things have been mentioned in this thread so far, most notably is the THC oil (Rick Simpson Cure) which has a proven track record. Watch the documentary "run from the cure" to see how a small village in Canada were using it to cure all kinds of ailments, including cancer, but when they tried to go public they were shut down by the RCMPA even though the highest standing members of their community were trying to get it out there.

Also, a lady mentioned about releasing all the built up emotions in your body. Since i began doing this many of my lifelong ailments have just dropped away and have been replaced by an almost constant happiness and imperturbability.

Hi Flash,

This line, "... stimulates regeneration of the dying beta cells within the diabetic’s pancreas ...", from a Sayer Ji article on Nigela sativa ("Black Seed"), made me think of you.

This is an herb I have never used, but I find it very intriguing. It is impossible not to be drawn to an herb that has the reputation "cures everything but death." This may not be the specific cure for your thyroid cancer, but it might be a powerful adjunct natural therapeutic agent.

Im wary of extravagant claims however---there are Drs making these claims on the thread linked.
Basically cancer cant survive in an alkaline environment---so the body has to be alkalised---green veg --baking soda would seem to be a priority.
Also there is the claim that mineral deficiency is a major contribution to ill health.
Iodine is also recommended.
The opening video is long but that's the essence.
What is interesting is that X rays were taken week on and so on and the tumour was seen to decrease each time till completely gone.
So that is some evidence of a cure for cancer.

Neem Plant Suppresses Cancer and Reduces Tumours By 70 Percent

Neem oil has been valued for centuries for its huge range of medicinal uses. Now Singapore academics have stated that active compounds in the neem plant reduce the size of prostate tumours by up to 70 percent and suppress its spread or metastasis by half.

A team of international researchers led by Associate Professor Gautam Sethi from the Department of Pharmacology at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore (NUS) reported the findings following a 12-week study (https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2016/09/160929082202.htm) on mice.

Nimbolide, a bioactive terpenoid compound derived from Azadirachta indica, more commonly known as the neem plant have a direct effect on cancer cells.

Leaf pastes and extracts from the neem plant are used in skin care products, hair treatment, toothpastes, insect repellants, mouth wash, and many other medicinal uses. Many herbalists recommend chewing the leaves, taking capsules of dried leaf, or drinking the bitter tea. The leaves cleanse the blood, help the gastrointestinal system, support the liver, and strengthen the immune system, to name just some of the most popular benefits.

Prostate cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers worldwide. However, currently available therapies for metastatic prostate cancer are only marginally effective, said the researchers, writing in the journal Antioxidants & Redox Signaling.

Neem is a natural anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-histamine, anti-viral and anti-microbial. It contains extraordinarily high levels of antioxidants and carotenoids (similar to carotene) which provide high antioxidant compounds that help defend the body against free radicals.

“Although the diverse anti-cancer effects of nimbolide have been reported in different cancer types, its potential effects on prostate cancer initiation and progression have not been demonstrated in scientific studies.

“In this research, we have demonstrated that nimbolide can inhibit tumour cell viability – a cellular process that directly affects the ability of a cell to proliferate, grow, divide, or repair damaged cell components – and induce programmed cell death in prostate cancer cells,” said Associate Professor Sethi.

Cell invasion and migration are key steps during tumour metastasis. The NUS-led study revealed that nimbolide can significantly suppress cell invasion and migration of prostate cancer cells, suggesting its ability to reduce tumour metastasis, without exhibiting any significant adverse effects.

“This is possible because a direct target of nimbolide in prostate cancer is glutathione reductase, an enzyme which is responsible for maintaining the antioxidant system that regulates the STAT3 gene in the body. EBC46 – Blushwood Berries For Cancer Treatment

A study conducted at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute in Queensland, Australia has recently shed new light on what could become the next big cancer treatment: the blushwood berry (Hylandia dockrillii). Blushwood Berries - What kind of Cancer they Eradicate

The researchers at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, headed by Dr. Glen Boyle, used an experimental drug produced from the seeds of blushwood berries called EBC-46. They used this drug to treat spots of melanoma (the most deadly form of skin cancer) on dogs, cats and horses.

The subjects were diagnosed by veterinarians and given a poor prognosis, most being considered candidates for euthanasia prior to participating in the study.

Amazingly, these animals that had been on death’s door prior to the study had their melanoma tumors disappear after treatment in the lab by Dr. Boyle and his team of scientists.

Tumors were Gone within 48 Hours

When the EBC-46 was injected into the cancerous cells on the subjects, the tumors reacted by turning a dark color, then falling off.

The derivative from the blushwood berry is thought to cut off oxygen supply to the cancer cells, allowing for the removal of tumors without the need for surgery, chemotherapy or radiation therapy.

The researchers reported that most of the subjects’ tumors-previously considered a lost cause by veterinarians-were gone within 48 hours of being injected with EBC-46.

Under the microscope, the individual cancer cells began shriveling up and dying within mere moments of coming into contact with the EBC-46.

What the Future of Cancer Treatment Could Be

The discovery of the effectiveness of EBC-46 is exciting news in the world of cancer treatment.

D.r Boyle says the findings of the pre-clinical trials at QIMR Berghofer suggest the drug could be effective in human patients.

“In most cases the single injection treatment caused the loss of viability of cancer cells within four hours, and ultimately destroyed the tumors.”

Dr. Boyle says EBC-46 works in part by triggering a cellular response which effectively cuts off the blood supply to the tumor. “In more than 70 per cent of pre-clinical cases, the response and cure was long-term and enduring, with very little relapse over a period of 12 months.”

“We must stress at this point that EBC-46 will only be trialed in the short-term for tumors which can be accessed by direct injection or topical application,” Dr Boyle said.
“There is no evidence to suggest EBC-46 would be effective against metastatic cancers.”
Further studies using human participants could serve to prove the blushwood berry to be nature’s hidden cancer cure.

More than 40 natural substances can slow the spread of cancer

More than 40 plant-based compounds can turn on genes that slow the spread of cancer, according to a first-of-its-kind study by a Washington State University researcher.

Gary Meadows, WSU professor and associate dean for graduate education and scholarship in the College of Pharmacy, says he is encouraged by his findings because the spread of cancer is most often what makes the disease fatal. Moreover, says Meadows, diet, nutrients and plant-based chemicals appear to be opening many avenues of attack.

“We’re always looking for a magic bullet,” he says. “Well, there are lots of magic bullets out there in what we eat and associated with our lifestyle. We just need to take advantage of those. And they can work together.”

Meadows started the study, recently published online in the journal Cancer and Metastasis Reviews (https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10555-012-9369-5), with some simple logic: Most research focuses on the prevention of cancer or the treatment of the original cancer tumor, but it’s usually the cancer’s spread to nearby organs that kills you. So rather than attack the tumor, said Meadows, let’s control its spread, or metastasis.

He focused in particular on genes that suppress metastasis. As search engine terms go, it took him down many a wormhole in the PubMed research database, as the concept of nutrients and metastasis suppressor genes is rarely identified by journals. It’s even an afterthought of some of the researchers who find the genes.

“People for the most part did not set out in their research goals to study metastasis suppressor genes,” says Meadows. “It was just a gene that was among many other genes that they had looked at in their study.”

But Meadows took the studies and looked to see when metastasis suppressor genes were on or off, even if original authors didn’t make the connection. In the end, he documented dozens of substances affecting the metastasis suppressor genes of numerous cancers.

He saw substances like amino acids, vitamin D, ethanol, ginseng extract, the tomato carotenoid lycopene, the turmeric component curcumin, pomegranate juice, fish oil and others affecting gene expression in breast, colorectal, prostate, skin, lung and other cancers.

Typically, the substances acted epigenetically, which is to say they turned metastasis suppressor genes on or off.

“So these epigenetic mechanisms are influenced by what you eat,” he says. “That may also be related to how the metastasis suppressor genes are being regulated. That’s a very new area of research that has largely not been very well explored in terms of diet and nutrition.”

Meadows says his study reinforces two concepts.

For one, he has a greater appreciation of the role of natural compounds in helping our bodies slow or stop the spread of cancer. The number of studies connecting nutrients and metastasis suppressor genes by accident suggests a need for more deliberate research into the genes.

“And many of these effects have not been followed up on,” he says. “There’s likely to be more compounds out there, more constituents, that people haven’t even evaluated yet.”

Meadows also sees these studies playing an important role in the shift from preventing cancer to living with it and keeping it from spreading.
