UK radio presenter and podcaster, Howard Hughes (yes, it's his real name) has interviewed ex-Canadian Defence Minister Paul Hellyer on the subject of UFOs and extra-terrestrial visitations - he's believer. Podcast here. (http://theunexplained.tv/paranormal-podcasts/edition-121-exclusive-paul-hellyer) (There are plenty of other good interviews on Hughes' site.)
I'm probably known as a skeptic regarding most of the stuff I see on this forum, but Hellyer was a defence minister no less! He has no reason to make this stuff up, although I suppose he could be the subject of some elaborate mis/dis-information campaign - but couldn't we all?
Hellyer has been expressing his views for some time now, and was prominent at the recent Citizen Hearing On Disclosure at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
In my opinion this guy is no light-weight. My only criticism is that in his opinion all UFOs are extraterrestrial (or back-engineered man-made) and he seems to leave no room for other explanations. In addition, as is the case with most interviews of this type, it was heavy with conviction, but light on naming names.
Nevertheless, a good listen - about an hour long, but didn't check.
Enjoy!

Certainly great to see credible public figures talk about the UFO cover-up. I feel the same way about astronauts speaking out on this subject. Why would they risk their considerable reputations unless they truly believed in this? I agree he does not have any inside info. I tend to favor the allies of humanity material for the more in depth analysis. What do you recommend?

My father was in the air force when the Canadian forces, under Hellyer, erased the lines between air, land and sea. My father started his career in the air force but was a member of the 'armed forces,' when he retired.
The book, Corso's, 'The Day after Roswell,' was the one that intrigued Hellyer more than any other. It makes sense. Corso illuminated the tremendous difficulty he had with different intelligence agencies and different branches of the military.
No one branch trusted the other. They were in competition, rather than cooperating! No wonder this book appealed to him. Hellyer understands how politics works, particularly in a military setting.
Hellyer had similar problems as Corso, when he was defense minister of Canada and addressed them by unifying the branches. I was too young to realize it at the time, but it was a brilliant move. If you hear Hellyer talk, it's quite incredible. He's up in his eighties, yet exceeds the mental agility of someone decades younger.
The issue of whether 'the visitors' are interdimensional or extra-terrestrial may represent a false dichotemy. Our understanding of how these 2 realms relate to one another is incomplete. It may be a continuum with weird feedback loops.
The ET hypothesis is regarded as old fashioned and cartoonish, by some. However, the interdimensional interpretation of ufos by researchers like Jacques Vallee puts ufos squarely in the realm of fairies, elves, ghosts etc...Each hypothesis, can be framed in a disreputable light.
Hellyer may have more familiarity with the ET hypothesis than other theories, based on the opinions/work of Robert Sarbacher and Wilbert Smith. Just a guess!:o
