Belgium has suspicions that the NSA has - for years now - hacked the national phone company Belgacom, in which the government has a considerable shareholder stake.
The logic that was presented in the live news so far is that the NSA's main goal is to access Middle Eastern and African telecommunications (in the fight against terrorism). It's thus Middle Eastern and African people that should be worrying about their phone calls being intercepted, not Belgians.
Well, that's a great relief...
