The master of the subtle bend. When King bends a note, he enters the altered note territory of the likes of Coltrane. If each tone relates to a chakra, then the altered notes are akin to the recently "discovered" "other" chakras, such as the nasal or the high heart, being an augmented and a diminished fifth respectively.
