I was sent this posting, and it touched me.
I think it speaks volumes about how everyone has goodness in them.
We all make mistakes and we all can learn to overcome the adversity of ourselves and help create more love in the world.

Nurse Eileen Remedios was heartbroken when her beloved bicycle was stolen while locked outside near the street.

She left a humorous note attached to the same lamppost begging for its safe return. She wrote, "Please return my bike," which she loved for it will be "frightened without its owner."

The 55-year-old from Brighton got a big surprise when the thief, touched by her politeness, returned her old two-wheeler along with a humble note offering a "big fat SORRY," and saying, "I never mistreated it." It was signed "The Reformed Bike Thief".

She even received a new lock with keys along with the note.

This happened to me. I was a single mom, two small boys and no car. I had my bike locked in the
storage/laundry room. One day it was gone. It was a really cool looking bike as it was all chrome.
I put up a note asking for it to be returned. I happened to be doing laundry when I saw a woman
(another mom, older kids) staring at the note. A few days later the bike was back. I put up a
thank you note to the person who returned it.

Thank you so much for sharing!
I believe there are a multitude of great instances of human kindness among us all.
Sometimes, it can be something as simple has holding the door open for a stranger at the mall, or an act of kindness by donating ones time or money for people in need.
Often, we are unaware, as to the degree of happiness our deeds do to spiritual growth.

It helps to illustrate just how incredibly beautiful both each other are, as well as the wonderful spectacular world be find ourselves on. :grouphug:

**special note to Christine**

Thank you

I am hoping that in every section of Avalon, we can find occasional bouts of happiness & good new ....sort of like how a coin can have two sides, one bright side, and one balanced with shadows

Wonderful! It reminded me of when I was a kid, and my Dad had his car stolen. It was found by the police the next day with four new tires... and inside the car was a box of chocolates.

If it wasn't you who said that, I wouldn't believe it at all.

I really don't think you can call that "stolen". A better word would be 'abduction'.

Another story (which I think may be a joke, but I love it anyway):

A man, worried about being burgled, put a sign on his front door at night which said:

"If anyone's about to break into my house looking for money, please wake me up first and I'll help you look for it."

(He was never robbed.)

Cool, my boyfriends electric scooter was stolen from inside our building not too long ago, he's been pretty upset about it, but now I'm going to do the same thing and leave a thoughtful little note there

Humor works
Can we have at least one of this a day?

Well, it would be reaaaallly nice if abductees would find a box of chocolate on their pillow - and for some, a new wife/husband lol.

I had a friend who rode her bike all over downtown Vancouver and would leave it unlocked outside wherever she stopped to shop. Her boyfriend kept telling her to get a lock for it. The first day she locked it; it was stolen.

Since I've stopped driving, six years now, I've had two bikes stolen. I gave up on bikes, too. Now I walk...can't steal my legs.

Wish I'd had the idea of asking for my bike back, then I'd still have a means of conveyance.

Nice story.
