Throughout history, artists, inventors, writers, scientists and even pro athletes
have solved problems in their dreams. Many of these contributions have become
master pieces. Mary Shelley's Frankenstein was Inspired By a Dream.
In 1965 Paul McCartney had a dream and when he awoke ,he wrote
"Yesterday."In 1964, pro golfer Jack Nicklaus was struggling on tour.
He had a dream where he was playing golf much better but was holding
the club different in the dream. He utilized this knowledge and became
probably the best golfer to ever live.
In 1886 novelist Robert Louis Stevenson had a dream and he the wrote
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
Pat Monahan wrote drops of jupiter after his beloved mother passed away.

I do believe we receive messages in dreams. I have heard that often other dimensional beings may put a "thought out there in the universal field for whoever may pick it up". This is considered ok, since they are not to directly interfere with the development of a species.

I have been afraid of sleep, since I was a child.
I hate to dream, but I do it all the time??
Partners and friends tell me that when I sleep,
they think the devil is in the house.
It seems I have a snoring problem..
Or maybe I just dream of when we can all be

In dreams I receive many inspirations from waking life.
Perhaps the entire waking reality has been created by an ancient dream of consciousness.

We dream—it is good we are dreaming
Emily Dickinson
We dream—it is good we are dreaming—
It would hurt us—were we awake—
But since it is playing—kill us,
And we are playing—shriek—
What harm? Men die—externally—
It is a truth—of Blood—
But we—are dying in Drama—
And Drama—is never dead—
Cautious—We jar each other—
And either—open the eyes—
Lest the Phantasm—prove the Mistake—
And the livid Surprise
Cool us to Shafts of Granite—
With just an Age—and Name—
And perhaps a phrase in Egyptian—
It’s prudenter—to dream—

"There is a dream, within a dream.. I've looked.. and I've seen."
Many of my creative projects benefit from dreams. I have come out of "dreamtime" with lyrics, symbols and concepts that have found their way into my music and my everyday life.
Once, in a reoccurring dream, a young woman kept leading me to this brick wall that was standing alone in the middle of an empty parking lot.. On the wall was a symbol that seemed to hold no meaning to me, but this young woman would lead me to the wall and point at the symbol with a smile.
I woke from this dream one night and furiously sketched down the symbol from my memory.. AT the time, a band I am in was trying to develop a symbol to represent the name of the band... When I took a careful look at the symbol I realized it contained two letters from the bands name.
My partner had an artist paint the symbol onto canvas and it has since become the main symbol for the band.
Thank you young woman from these dreams.. Whoever you are.
