The BRICS “Independent Internet” Cable. In Defiance of the “US-Centric Internet”

The President of Brazil, Dilma Rousseff announces publicly the creation of a world internet system INDEPENDENT from US and Britain ( the “US-centric internet”).

Not many understand that, while the immediate trigger for the decision (coupled with the cancellation of a summit with the US president) was the revelations on NSA spying, the reason why Rousseff can take such a historic step is that the alternative infrastructure: The BRICS cable from Vladivostock, Russia to Shantou, China to Chennai, India to Cape Town, South Africa to Fortaleza, Brazil, is being built and it’s, actually, in its final phase of implementation.

No amount of provocation and attempted “Springs” destabilizations and Color Revolution in the Middle East, Russia or Brazil can stop this process. The huge submerged part of the BRICS plan is not yet known by the broader public.

This woman is a disgusting criminal. If such system ever goes online, it will be so that she can do her own spying and censorship.

Brazil is probably living the most corrupt times regarding politics. Her party, the PT (Worker's Party) is destroying my country.

I've said it before, but I'll say it again. Those who believe that a world ruled by the BRICS would be any better are totally mistaken.

Besides, regarding such internet project, it's extremely naive to believe that it would stop the NSA from spying everyone in the world. They have the tech to do whatever they want.

Anyway, supposing that this new internet system is implemented, people would be required to use only services that are structured within such network for it to be efficient. At the moment someone uses a service hosted outside it (google, gmail, facebook, youtube, etc...) it becomes worthless. Besides, most people still use Windows, which is an inherently insecure operational system by design.

In my opinion, this is just a waste of public money, specially considering that half of the fraudulent budget will certainly go straight to politicians's bank accounts.

Same with President and ruling party in South Africa. The so-called democracy (actually majority rule, which is maintained by keeping the majority uneducated and dependent on hand-outs from the government, which is defined as the ruling majority in a democracy where majority rules) in South Africa is corrupt and designed to serve the self interests of a small black elite. (By the way, most people do not vote so the ruling majority does not represent the majority in reality but simply wins the right to rule based on a majority of ballots in an election. Democracy is a myth.)

BRICS is about transferring the elite of control and self enrichment from one cabal to another and not about liberation for all so all can live a good life of opportunity and happiness.

In South Africa, the myth is that the black ANC liberated us from the apartheid white Nationalist government (majority of whites are Afrikaners who mostly supported apartheid and the minority of whites are English, who mostly opposed apartheid) in a glorious liberation struggle, which was actually a few bombs randomly killing people in public places and sabotaging, with little effect, public services (white and coloured people have been airbrushed from our history so I was astonished when I recently encountered footage of white people protesting against apartheid because I had been brainwashed by the ANC to even forget that I had participated in such protests, with great personal risk to myself), but very people in the world know that there are still racist laws in South Africa and that a few blacks have become very rich and that most blacks are living in abject poverty with no hope of change (and whites are living under the threat of of everything being taken from them or even being slaughtered), and that the country is slipping into anarchy and incompetence and unbridled corruption.

I am sixth generation settler, from pure German stock until my father married my mother, on my father's side, and confused family history on my mother's side, which is probably a mixed race narrative if we could find the records to go back more than three generations but the is UK descendant three times removed that I know but cannot prove because I have not found the records. I am African but because I am white and the black ANC rules I have limited rights and opportunities (a company that hires me is penalised for hiring a white person) and no future here and no means to buy my way into a future elsewhere.

It is all meaningless, crazy BS that always serves the elite that get to fight their way to the top.

We need to rethink democracy and politics, et al, and fundamentally change our world. BRICS only offers to replace the ruling elite with another ruling elite (in the individual countries and in the world at large).

However, there is a lesson in this ... a ruling cabal will always be threatened by those who will want to destroy and replace it (by another self-serving cabal). America may lose this war between cabals (with much destruction because of military might and other domination), but the replacement will be no different. The ruling cabal will always rule by a lot of BS brainwashing, and one cabal is no different from another!

Our challenge is to rethink and break the myth of democracy and military right and the BS of myths of our past?

So she's laying a few cables. That's nice. That's going to bypass the US spying... how?

Yes she can create a seperate internet, but for it to be anywhere near as vast and usefull at some point it will need to connect to the existing networks at some point. And from that point - all the data again can be monitored.

Not to mention that advertising you have a network free of US spying is going to do nothing but challenge them to see if they can stick their nose in. To which is easy to to - at any point along the main line all they need to do is find a quiet spot and plug in.

Fine, lets have 3 or 4 paralllel internet so that no one can truly control anyone else. One from the Bric, one from US and Britain, one from the Russian mafia, and one from Asia - mostly China.

RMorgan, you are totally right, the BRIC regimes are as corrupt if not more (which is difficult to achieve) than the US one. THey do not even try to look good as if they were respecting human rights. WE are slowly losing even this appearance in the WEST as well.

RMorgan, They don't have to be morally upright and I believe you that they are as bad or worse than the U.S. But it is important that there is more than one super power in the world to achieve some kind of balance. If Bully number one is pushing one way and bully number two is pushing the other way, there can be some kind of cold neutrality.

it may be independent, doesn't necessarily mean it wont connect to WWW... point is if the US wants to play God and disconnect the internet they will be shooting themselves in the foot, if other physical cables exist, not run and managed by the US. And that is the way it should be... Information freedom once again is being promoted and advanced in the East... man oh man, the writing is so on the wall. The US/Britain is being seen more and more each day for what they are, a huge GLOBAL CRIME SYNDICATE. (the Illuminati faction) TCP/IP protocol by design can't be shut down... but there is a bottle neck in physical construction of the cables, especially the one going from the US to Europe so more physical cables do need to be laid... (could this be the Mayan spiderweb prophecy?)

Anyhow, I think that is what this is about... not being dependent on the US/Britain, CONTROLLING THE physical cable bottlenecks as it stands now...
