OP, you might be interested also in the Biblical account of Jephthah's Daughter.
This stuff is hard to talk about in literal terms, as people do poke fun, but you should re-read the story of Jephthah in the context of the "final antichrist" to better understand the "endless cycle" of "war in heaven".

Jephthah was a great warrior, the son of a harlot, who was put out of his brothers' house to live in the wilderness.
They came back to see him in a time of need and asked him to lead their Jewish army against a great external enemy.
He said "if you make me your head (i.e. worship me as war leader!) when we return" from battle, he would lead them into battle.
He also prayed a private pagan prayer to God before entering battle and promised that "the first thing he sees at the entrance of his house upon return shall be offered as a burnt sacrifice" to the Lord.
As we all know, the Lord mentioned in the Bible does not EVER ask for burnt human sacrifice, except for the testing of Abraham and Isaac, where a ram was substituted at the last minute in a gesture of mercy for Abraham.
Well, Jephthah ended up giving up his daughter after she was allowed to mourn in the mountaintops for a period of some days.
It inspired the whole tradition of virgins walking the mountaintops to mourn Jephthah's Daughter.

Anyhow, I found a strange connection in my mind between this "Jephthah's Daughter" in the wilderness and the Woman Clothed in the Sun fleeing into the wilderness.
It also made me think of America and its connection to Israel today, in fact.
One of the things Jephthah demanded to know from his brothers was, why on earth had they not already secured the land they had claimed, and why did they allow in the first place the overtaking of their property, to the point where they were willing to make an antichrist their leader in war?
