The below link will take you to an interactive graph/map spanning the years 2001 - 2012. Exact number of deaths is uncertain. The country that claimed to count precisely 1429 deaths in a war zone in which it has no official observers has systematically failed to provide accurate figures for Afghanistan, so the numbers come from media reports etc.
