The influential zionist rabbi (born in Iraq) known most notoriously for inciting hatred against Palestinians has died at the age of 93. Judging by the number of people at the funeral there will be plenty of willing Israelis to continue the oppression, killing and dispossession of the Palestinians.

Even the most vile villains 'call for peace' at some point. Ovadia Yosef was a particularly insidious player on the Israeli right of politics who made meaningful contributions as Leader of Shas, and as a leading Rabbi, to the oppression of Palestinians. But, you don't have to listen to me, there are plenty of people in Palestine who can give you their opinions.

Ovadia Yosef was a positive being that helped many people regardless of their national origin. Why don't you focus on those leaders who call for jihad and terror? You got the whole picture wrong. I do not agree with your disrespect to his name and i find it offending. I will not further comment on this thread and specifically not come back to read your propagation of hateful expressions towards people or groups of people.

Yes indeed, regardless of your nationality, if you are of Jewish heritage then the state of Israel, and the likes of Ovadia, will help you to continue the colonisation of Palestine. Incidentally, Ovadia Yosef was quite outraged when the Israeli PM (Sharon, now brain dead himself) left Gaza. Zionists tried to settle there for a while but were forced out by the Palestinian resistance. Gaza was not even a part of 'biblical Israel', rather a part of Philistine, whose people were of European origin if I am not mistaken.
