One would think that the "leader" of a country that is arguably on the brink of a possible civil war or revolution would be smart enough to *not* piss off the military (... yet again).

Wow. :twitch:

Tea Party Hoaxes Vets, Military and President Obama

The Slimebags of the Adelson/Koch “Tea Party” Have Done it Again

by Gordon Duff, Senior Editor

This is today’s TeaBag deception, another piece of anti-American trash from the NWO controlled pack of swine who have shut down veterans services, military commissaries, the Veterans Suicide Hotline and are trying to blackmail America into funding insurance scams and invading Syria.

Veterans Today supports the immediate arrest, military tribunal trial and execution of every member of any group that would send an email like this, attempt to destroy America’s economy or try to start another phony war for the bankster scum.

Dear Senator Rand Paul: We have seen what you are really made of and, let us be clear, you aren’t going to be able to lie and cajole your way into our good graces again. Fool us once…

If you have sent this email, immediately send a retraction and apology, an apology for lying, an apology for helping stab the United States in the back. “Stupid” is no longer an excuse.

THE MOST STUPID STATEMENT EVER BY A PRESIDENT ….

If someone has to explain this to you, You are not a veteran.

THOUGHT YOU MIGHT LIKE TO SEE THIS!!

THIS MOST UNBELIEVABLE PRESIDENT? HERE IS HIS RESPONSE WHEN HE BACKED OFF FROM HIS DECISION TO REQUIRE THE MILITARY PAY FOR THEIR WAR INJURIES.

Bad press, including major mockery of the play by comedian Jon Stewart, led to President Obama abandoning his proposal to require veterans carry private health insurance to cover the estimated $540 billion annual cost to the federal government of treatment for injuries to military personnel received during their tours on active duty. The President admitted that he was puzzled by the magnitude of the opposition to his proposal.

“Look, it’s an all volunteer force,” Obama complained. “Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn’t compute..”

“I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country, “Obama continued “I wasn’t asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I’d have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation’s deficit..I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans.”

Please pass this on to every one including every vet and their families whom you know. How in the world did a person with this Mindset become our leader?

REMEMBER THIS STATEMENT….”Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice?”

If he thinks he will ever get another vote from an Active Duty,Reserve, National Guard service member or veteran of a military service he ought to think it over.. If you or a family member is or has served their country please pass this to them.

Please pass this to everyone. I’m guessing that other than the 20-25 percent hardcore liberals in the US will agree that this is just another example why this is the worst president in American history. Remind everyone over and over how this man thinks, while he bows to the Saudi Arabian king…

All I can say is WOW! I cannot believe the widening gap between what I thought of this man when he took office and what I think of him now. Light worker??? What planet is that on? Let me just say I do not agree with his political views.

Worst part is yet to come if you ask me Calz, picture this...........economy crashes...........people kicked out their houses... how to get a meal tonight.....poor schmucks will join the military by the tens of thousands......... just for the roof, clothes and three meals a day, they will take their chances, food now, cripple later, who cares, I think that's the attitude and their train of thought. Foreign soil, home turf, who cares, I need dinner tonight and live for just one more day, one more day, one more day.:(

We in Holland have the Moluccans and Timorese people, fought for the queen in Indonesia, died by the thousands, when back in Holland there was nothing for them, stuck them in camps, ok to die for us but when you didn't, f*ck you. These were the 60s and 70 btw, not the 16/1700ths.

I agree with Sharon Swansend's comment and for that reason, I won't bother listening to Gordon Duff anymore.

Gordon actually does not say anything, I think this site needs to be on the weary list; but I guess he is accusing Rand of sending the email claiming the President made these statements and he sees it as Rand trying to start a war? We don't trust this guy right?

I get the Rand newsletters even though I am pretty sure I am done voting. I was not sent this newsletter. This is really just another attempt at a Paul hit piece. All sides are scared of any real small government person getting into office because most of the scams disappear once you remove the bureaucrats.

He fooled many (I was one), but then again, so did GWB (not me on that one). That's why I just blend them together, it's pretty hard to see a real difference.

Lots of stories out there from returning Iraq vets getting billed for the damage "they" did to their equipment.

That is bad enough ... but this is over the top.

Things are getting stranger on an ever accelerating rate and scale.

I just added the word "HOAX" to this thread's title.

Gordon Duff is presenting this as a HOAX claim (by the Tea Party) that Obama made these statements, and Duff is right. Duff is ridiculing the Tea Party, not Obama.

This hoax has been floating around since at least March 2009 (http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/barackobama/a/obama_military_insurance.htm), long before the current fiscal crisis.

Paul ... aside from the image (with HOAX) on it on the link (which didn't make sense to me ... perhaps I am not the brightest bulb either) where are you getting that from?

Okay ... see it now:

Analysis: Mostly fiction. It's true that in March 2009 the Obama administration considered a plan to bill military veterans' private health insurance companies for treatment of service-related injuries, but it's false that the President uttered the statements above in response to veterans groups who objected to the proposal. The alleged quotes were fabricated.

Cal, Gordon is claiming this is fake and that Rand Paul sent it. Its just an attack against the Pauls. See, antisemitics despise Ron Paul just as much as Zionists do. It mostly the antisemitics that have set up Ron in the past.

My bad ... sorry. :sorry:

The vets getting billed for damaged equipment is true however ...

Bush makes US veterans pay for equipment damaged in Iraq war

This video from the USA is called Iraq Veterans Against the War Winter Soldier Testimony – Christopher Gallagher.

This video from the USA is called Iraq War Veteran Speaks Out.

“Marine Corporal Grant Collins describes what it was like to participate in the war in Iraq. He also describes what it is like to live with giving orders that resulted in the deaths of civilians.”

From CBS in the USA:

Army’s ‘Debt Of Service’ Leaves Vets Perplexed

Unbelievably, Soldiers Must Pay For Damaged Equipment

Kirstin Cole
Reporting

NEW YORK – Servicemen and women who made huge sacrifices fighting in the war and now paying yet another price, even after coming home.

One soldier in particular is currently battling against a new “debt of service.”

Brian Rodriguez is a fighter, an honorably discharged soldier who’d been deployed in Iraq.

“I was a combat engineer,” Rodriguez said. “We deal with land mines, explosives.”

He fought for his nation, only to return to his homeland and wage a fresh battle.

Former Army Specialist Rodriguez started getting bills for $700 for lost or damaged government property this summer. Although he was discharged some four years ago, bills recently arrived demanding payment, but giving no details on what or why — nor do they offer a way to dispute the charges.

“For doing my job you’re going to bill me?” Rodriguez said.

And he’s not alone. A 2006 government report found more than 1,000 soldiers being billed a total of $1.5 million. And while fighting overseas put their lives on the line, this battle on paper could cost them their future by ruining their credit. Rodriguez will be reported to credit agencies next month.

“It makes a terrible point about the nature of military service today,” citizen soldier Tod Ensign said.

Ensign is a veteran’s advocate. He says this is all part of the military’s push to be run more like a business.

“They’ll just pound him and call him, call his employers, and make his life as miserable as they can until he pays up,” Ensign said.

Well, if Bush did it, then there is a really good chance Obama did as well. Maybe when they met there was some sort of mind meld, any creative, rational parts went into the Bush version and all the deceptive crap went into Obama. I hear Bush paints now.

I am (and have never been) a fan of war ... but how returning vets are treated is so very wrong in so many ways.

Now they are considered a threat due to their military skills.

In some cases not able to purchase legal weapons.

Hard to find employment.

Some would suggest hey they are not drafted so they are "accountable" but dammit ... these are kids. They have been programmed their whole life. They think they are doing the "right thing" ... something good.

Why do you think the military loses more people due to suicide than combat???

hello???

Do they(of this govt) really expect loyalty after this bullsh!t? I think "stupid is as stupid does" to quote Gump's momma. And it don't get any stupider than this. I think.... :becky:

All soldiers of all wars have had it bad when they return home; but remember how badly Vietnam vets were treated when they got home. They NEVER got the heroes welcome. Total disrespect by their own countrymen.... And forcing soldiers to pay for anything is a slap in the face, not a thank you for their sacfices.
