In my very first thread 'Nestlé Corporate Water Takeover', I wrote about the huge amount of water (and profit) Nestle was allowed to take from the earth even during a drought. Well activists have won over and Nestle has to cut its limit during a time of drought.

The first half is a clip from the old video and the second half is the update. Thanks for watching.

This is ridiculous. I'm sure Canada has potable drinking water on tap, we do here in Oz. Buy a suitable bottle, fill it up and use it when you feel thirsty----and stop buying bottled water!

they import italian and french water here in Canada, while we have excellent cristal clear water up north in our own country. And they export our water in Europe etc. All this without paying the taxes and levies on natural ressources that a gold mine or a petroleum industry has to pay.

They are literally stealing the water.

We do have to take into account that there is a 350 millions population country just South of us who will be without good water in at the end of this century. We can expect them to make war, invade us, whatever just to take our water ressources.

All the giant food companies are on it, taking the water. bottling up and making a fortune.

Heavens no, we Americans would never think of doing that. We might invade to bring Freedom, Democracy and Obamacare to the poor backward nation north of us, but never to steal resources :).

Don't forget to save us from the "terrorists", "rebels" and polar bears and savage moose while you are at it ;)

By the end of the century water will be the new oil, and lord knows what new military technologies will be around then!

'water water everywhere, nor any drop to drink': it's about time desalination became a major industry. Gerald Pollack's Fourth Phase of Water suggests the non-energy-intensive technology that could achieve this.

Watch the weird covert way that happens. Actually it's happened. Missed it.

There's something really important in this thread besides water. It is the tendency for "us" to unconsciously align ourselves with "them" because of the language we use and the identity of the Individual as part of the whole. I am one of those 350 million people south of Canada, but I will never wage war against Canada. If civilization were to last long enough (it won't) then it is likely that the psychopaths who rule would begin waging war for water, but I am not them and I do not identify myself with them. They made war against Iraq. I did not. They are trying to start a war in Syria. I am not. It seems like a small thing (and off topic) but I believe it is vitally important in the struggle to free ourselves from the chains of slavery. We are not them.

Eliodomestico solves the water problem but I am sure the governments of the world will step in and make sure it gets nowhere.

I am sorry to say this Snowflower, but you are part of the collective you are living with. If they wage war, you do, same here with me. That we agree with it or not, our collective do it, and we are part of it. Unless we do something against it, on a very personal basis, and then on a collective one. And yes, we, as an earth collective, partake to it. Unless again, we act upon it.

No, I am not. That is my whole point. I am not part of it. I have no power to make them stop. They have more power because they have more guns (all references to power by force included in the euphemism "guns"). If I had any power to actually stop them, then I could be included in the charges against them. I cannot. Therefore, I am not them.

Oh la la (French way of saying, I am French speaking), reread your post 3-4 times and decipher what you have bought in terms of beliefs.

When I was working in Turkey, I was amazed at the tons of times when I heard "I am not able to..... do x y z". Of course, being Asians, Turks won't say no (which is iher in Turkish), since saying no is incredibly impolite, in their culture. They will say "inch Allah"(if God wants - which means he won't want, they won't do it) or yok yok (which means this does not exist) or "I am not able". However, the "I am not able" was, in my view, detrimental to initiative taking and decision making (my western view of course).

They would have a tendency to listen to authority and obey, as they had done for hundreds of years under the Sultanat and under diverse dictatorships.

Changing such belief systems is very difficult. Yet, each and everyone of us are born within the beliefs systems of our times and our culture.

So, Who told you that guns makes a difference or have to be used at all in order to act or have an impact? Who told you that you had no power?

If you believe this, you won't act, even the little gritty looking like nothing acts, but making a differerence.

The powerlessness implementation in our psyche is the main tool of the Cabal and their minions, in my view.

See, a very different set of beliefs.

For just one minute, do not react, do not involve your emotions and reread your post, emotionless, and decide what you may change. At least, this is what I would do.

I do not want to be misunderstood here, I see very well how incredible my statements may look to someone who would cherish any change helping humanity. Which is what you want Sonflower, I am sure of it.

Yet, to do this, we have to start working on ourselves and unroot false beliefs, that have been given to us from multiple sources (advertising, television, family, country, culture, language, generation, music, etc.).

Back to the flow of life with water.
