I was talking to some of my friends about the fact that we are turning 30 before the end of the year. Now we're not exactly senior citizens yet but 30 years is still o good amount of time to experience things, good and bad. We tried listing a top and bottom 3 of events we have experienced in our lifetime. As expected my friends lives were filled with highs and lows on the emotional curve and they really had to think hard to name their top/bottom 3. I struggled to think of anything to be honest. Good or bad. My life has been emotionally "flatlined" so far.
Friends and family have had a rollercoaster kind of experience whereas I have been standing on the side observing it all. Don't get me wrong, i'm not bitter in any way about this, it just got me thinking. What am I supposed to learn from this life if nothing ever happens?
Obviously my personality matters, I'm a pretty positive guy so perhaps things that botters others won't bother me as much, but still, there has been very little "action" so far in my life. Perhaps I'm resting up for an emotional rolllercoaster the next 30 years!

Anyway what I really wanted out of this thread was for people to post their greatest moments so we can feel the good vibes!

Mine was, as silly as it sounds, watching my favorite football team coming back from 3-0 down to win the European cup in 2005. Like I said, its been uneventful;)

Someone has to hold up the standard of a peaceful existence.
Count yourself lucky, and let your example shine.

My greatest moments all fall into the same category. Play. Anytime I'm outdoors doing something, .... swimming, riding a bicycle/motorcycle, hiking, etc., or even just going outside every morning and greeting the new day, .... all these things are always my greatest moments. I don't for a minute take for granted having a physical body and feeling the sensations that come from it. What a joy it is to run and play. To feel the wind, rain, and the heat and the cold. To taste all the great foods that are out there. To hear the birds chirping in the backyard tree, or to listen to a hard driving rock song.

Imagine a very young child, maybe 2 or 3, and a 2 or 3 month old puppy playing in a grassy field. They would clumsily roll and tumble all over the place. The child laughing and giggling, the puppy licking his face. Both consumed with nothing but playful fun. Not a care in the world because their world only consist of that "now" moment they are living in. Go for a walk and try and remember that child that is within you. Try and remember that playful zeal. How marvelous it is that you can feel your legs moving up and down. That you can skip or jump if you feel like it. You can twirl your arms or spin in circles. DON"T TAKE THAT FOR GRANTED! Dance.

A lot of wisdom there. People do tend to take things for granted and I'm no different

Creation of life, with all that comes with it, is a great number one:)

It is a great picture. I laughed out loud myself the first time I saw it.

Wow WhiteRabbit , most people instead of feeling gratitude will unconsciously invent crisis to offset what they conceive as boredom. I have such admiration for you.

Orph I hear you loud and clear since I have had a back fusion and knee replacement in one year. In my teenage years, I would roll my eyes when dad would say, "your health is the most important thing." Nowadays, a good dump (bowel movement) is cause for celebration. Only took me 69 years to realize what you already appreciate. Kudos!

grannyfranny100 I'm with you on two of your points, and knee replacement isn't one of them," Let's celebrate "

Greatest moment hands down, giving birth :) Nothing else even comes close.

greatest moments: just before giving birth (joy of pregnancy and expectation), just after giving birth (joy of having my beautiful Mini Flash), incomparable, total love. Second best moment, i think it is buying my lovely house, I truly liked it, the third moment was seeing my dad after he passed away, the feeling of pure love again.

Greatest down moment: giving birth lol (I went through the nightmares birthing sometimes become, traumatising), second worst, many years ongoing in a terrible marriage and the finale, the divorced that went on for 3 years. I would say the last bottom was to lose a job last year and what came with/after it.

Both, rock bottom and rock up were well past my 30's.
